Thank you for this video. This is perfect as I am waiting for my cr touch’s to arrive :D Any reason why you’re using the creality firmware and not another one? I’ve seen others not recommending the official creality one.
The reason I’m using the stock one. Not everybody is able to do a custom firmware and if you don’t use one, that’s correct for your printer. May not end well.
The CR Touch and BL Touch should be interchangable as long as you use their respective cabling. The CR Touch is wired differently so you can't just plug the BL Touch into the CR Touch's cable. I am surprised you could not get the BL Touch to work. Sounds like a firmware issue or a defective BL Touch. You could try compiling the fitmware yourself rather than using the firmware from creality which probably not up to date. Good video though. I like the CR Touch on the right rather than the left like on my Ender 3 Pro. I had a CR Touch and it workrd great, but then a few months later the plastic mounting bracket cracked so it was unusable. I think it might have crashed into the X axis stepper mount. I bought a BL Touch to replace it though I have yet to install it.
The BL touch. And the CR touch have the same cabling even the same colors. Now, if you look at the clone version,i never played with one. should be the same or may not I do not know.
@@djsprc It was definitely the cable for the 3D Touch. I even bought a bl touch cable with a five pin connector for my skr mini e3 v3 and that was wired incorrectly as well. Hello i wanna ask.... my cr touch seen its working but if i start print my print always lift up from my bed and i try 3 firmwers i leveled manually bed and z offset like 8 times
It doesn’t mean necessarily that your bed is not level. Sometimes you might need to use the babyz. Or your bed may not be hot enough. It might need to use a little bit of glue.
Sometimes when I change the numbers, it will jerk a bit, but it won’t continue moving. If yours does the same thing, I’m assuming the glitch in the software
@@djsprc yes. The correct one off their website too. Everything else seems to work fine. I just have to disable to steppers while I adjust the z offset then I’m able to correctly set it
The way I did it on mine because of the new firmware, I played with my Z offset I gave it more until I got to the correct position on my bed but every time you’re gonna play with the Z offset, you will need to save the setting exit out of the menu and go back in it to lower the probe
This is a new one for me. What I would suggest is trying to reinstall the firmware and make sure you have the correct firmware and make sure that your probe is connected correctly. There is multiple probes out there and some do not connect the same way.

@@djsprc i set the z offset, but i think my cr touch is faulty, becouse sometimes the probe doesn´t go down, and when i do an auto leveling, it stops and starts blinkin red :(
Hi hey i followed these steps with my cr touch n ender s max ....after setting z offset when homing it goes to the center but sits 12.8 mm above the bed...thats the initial 10 mm plus the -2.8 offset , any help would be great as i cant print in midair haha
It is normal for the printer when you do a auto home it will take a measurement in the middle. Once it’s done the probe will be offset from the bed now once you start a print, your probe should go down to zero in the corner of the bed if that doesn’t happen, you may have taken your measurements incorrectly or not saved it correctly. If you go under motion and then move axis, you should be able to bring the Z to zero. Technically your nozzle should be very close to your bed.
@@djsprc Yea mate done all that saved etc gone through the process multiple times....it seems to add the -2.8 to the original 10mm so sits above the bed 12.8mm cant do bed leveling or print

@@djsprc Hi, i have the same problem. Unfortunately I don't understand your solution for this. Where can I find this in which settings? Greetings from Germany.
@@Scoopel are you trying to install the CR Dutch in? Did you download the firmware and updated machine? I downloaded the firmware for it from the Creality site. Then the printer motors stopped working Is there a way to do a factory reset or any other way to get the printer working again?.
Just to confirm that this happen when you try to do a level bed if that’s the case. It means your wires for your bl touch are not connected at the correct place.
