i dont mean to be so offtopic but does someone know of a trick to log back into an instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the account password. I love any assistance you can offer me.
Wow, thanks for making this video John, I love this crazy stuff. Who knows why some things change the world and others might have but never got the break. How else do we get to see this stuff, it's why I love RUclips! I restored a 914 once, it was a 2 L engine and they were a great engine.
Restored or not it is still pretty cool as it already is. Nice exotic vehicle you got there. I wish I could say something that could help your project.
Google : Gyro X, or Brennan Monorail Gyro Car It says that the gyro system on this car was used in the regen braking system as well as keeping it up right. Also check out the " Brennan Monorail" . Some model train folks are building models of Brennan's Monorail that work pretty well. I asked the guys on the "Myth Busters" tv show to do a piece on this subject, but so far zip.
Checked around a little more and the Ford Gyron concept car as well as Alex Tremulis (the designer of the Tucker car) came up on this two wheeled gyro car subject. Maybe Jay Leno, the Tonight Show host would be interested in this prototype, into old cars as he is.
Reminds me somewhat of some Aussie motorcycle builders who custom made a motorcycle out of aluminIUM. It was about as sharp a bike as I ever saw. I can't remember who the men were, but they were competing on one of these custom motorcycle shows.
This would be the equivalent of a person owning a badly renovated Ferrari that had a lawn mower engine put in it. The original car would be worth something but this was that car back in 1967, but is no longer.
Check out patent 3124007 at google patens for info. on what Swinney in mind for this car. Wish somebody had gone into production with this idea. Looks like it would have been a hoot to drive.
lots of history and famous people, the car was going to be a 2 wheeled gyro stabilized enclosed motorcycle, before they did the magazine article, the military made them remove the gyro's,the body was designed by the same guy who designed the Tucker.Go online, lots of history,it could have been a early fraud, investor's bilked out of money on a supposed car.Go online and start doing your homework, make some phone calls, buy up all the info write a book.
I think that car is worth almost $4 million now. So rolling 1 of 1 made off a cliff probably isn’t a good idea unless your against history and technology.
This was before it was restored to it's former glory. Thank goodness it now runs with a gyro.
Im so glad this awesome ride has been completely restored and runs!!!
The original design had two wheels and was self balancing using gyroscopes.
Lawrence Rhodes gyro quit working it was updated to 3 wheels grossly
@Thomas Alan grossly is correct

Cool car, nice to hear it's getting restored. :)
Man you seem to have a cool place there out in the desert. I`m just getting that feeling of freedom just watching this clip
it looks like its in good hands now,it will once again roll on 2 wheels with a single gyro, cool, can't wait to see it is its glory.
Godscountry now you can :)
Godscountry now I can :)
I'm kind of disappointed that it was not kept original and completely restored.
Gyro x LIVES! in the design of the LiteMotors C1

The bearings of the original gyroscope were made of a self-lubricating alloy of Beryllium and Lead

Gyro X whether it really had gyro's and two wheels who knows, the history of the car is worth more then the car.
here's another video of the vehicle before the gyro was removed and the single rear wheel replaced by two outrigger-style wheels....Gyro-X

Where's the gyro?

Looks incomplete wheres the wings?
It looks a lot more stable than most other tricycle cars(excluding reverse tricycle)
robvlob its a 2 wheeled gyro car.

That's were they got the idea for star wars.

Without gyro it is a scrap.
how to ruin a car unique
Run that ugly deathtrap off the nearest cliff! It sounds like a riding mower!
Butthead, is that you? You got old, man...
