I like that you’re doing this using the maps of the game. The developers used aerial photos to create the maps, and the way they’re detailed is incredible. I’ve studied this conflict for years and build scale models of the Normandy campaign and have never seen an experience so life-like as running around on these maps. I get so many diorama ideas when looking around the environments of the maps. Having said that, it’s still not right to depict trenches connecting the guns at Brecourt. The people who give battlefield tours state that there were only slight depressions like drainage ditches at the side of the field. There are many more trenches than existed in the maps also. I can’t imagine the actual lack of cover without them available.
This is great. Cant wait for more One question though: When Kursk and Stalingrad come out, they're going to be set during one specific part of the battle. Such as one section of the city or one hamlet. Would you talk about the whole battle, or those skirmishes specifically. I ask because the sheer detail in this is amazing, and it would be a shame to lose that to the scale of those battles.
Great video, really liked it, can't wait for more!
Brilliant. Loved the background info embedded with in-game and historical footage. More please, but I can appreciate a lot of work went into this.
