Oh yeah, Ikarus class 2xx :-). As a boy I had been travelling with these buses a lot. That is to say, Ikarus 280.08 and 280.10. Here, in the Czechoslovakia, these buses were quite common in the socialistic times. I still remember rumbling of the inline-six engine, singing of the Rába axle and high windows so that I could barely look out of the bus while sitting in the brown seat :-).
Once again commenting your sound recordings: excellent. If you imagine that generations of european citizens heard this sound dozens of times a week...a true story of success, even if it didn´t survive that way until now. I feel slight sound differences compared to the urban 280 type, is it because of the different gear ratio?
leodobrasil The Ikarus-sound is quite a complex thing. :D It depends on the B-axle, the engine, and as you wrote, on shifting gears. Otherwise mostly the military still has Ikaruses with this sound. By the way, even this JOB-294 was used there in the past. :)
Gyönyörű hangja van :) Szerencsés vagy, hogy egyáltalán utazhattál 256-oson!Itt a Kisalföld Volánnál már csak 1 db van belőle és nem adatik meg, hogy utazhassak rajta sajnos :(
Régen (10-15 évvel ezelőtt) annyit utaztam velük a Budapest-Ózd viszonylaton... Akkor szerettem meg a típust, és egyébként máig a legkedvencebb buszaim. Főleg a 250-esek. A hangjuk ezeket a régi szép időket idézi föl... Mára sajnos nagyon kiírtották őket.
Szinte érzem, ahogy ránt a váltásnál :D
I love this bus and its amazing sound! I watch / listen to it almost every day. Thank you for pitching it!
I'm glad to hear it, you're welcome :)

Question, where would the driver sleep? AFAIK there are coaches' compartments between the axle where the driver could sleep.
Amazing sound! Can you try to record a 250.59?
...and second later I saw a 250.59 video...
Yes, it was really an unforgettable experience. :-) But unfortunately, this bus doesn't have much time left either...
Annyira kár hogy harmadikból indult a vezér... :/
Van olyan felvételem is róla, amin kettesből indul. Hidd el, így jobb a hangja, ez nem automataváltó. :)
