Your crochet bag is fabulous! To make the base sturdier and help the sides sit more upright, I use a Tupperware container that's the same size but not too deep, or even cut a big laundry detergent bottle down and put that in so that the bag bottom doesn't roll inward when loaded
Brilliant. I use plastic canvas cut to size for stability. I’ll save that for odd sized/shaped bags/baskets but I’d love something smooth, and ALREADY DONE whenever possible. Thanks! 💜
I use a balloon to “block” my knitted hats. Just put a regular sized balloon inside the damp hat and blow it up to the size you want it to be. Love your podcasts!!
I am busy knitting the Salty Days sweater from Kutovakika, which has a similar look to the Ingrid sweater. I am a fairly new knitter, and I am able to cope well with it, due to her video tutorial. Do you think the Ingrid sweater would be manageable! 😅
I think the Ingrid is manageable! I’m knitting it now and even though I’m newer to knitting texture I find it easy to follow. I was a mostly concerned about the mock cables but she included really easy instructions on how to do them and I was able to memorize them pretty easily.
FYI There is a podcaster named Olina and her show is called the Norwegian Knitter. She made her Ingrid sweater in a poppy red and it’s gorgeous. She dedicates 3 episodes to her process of knitting it. They were posted 4 months ago in May. She does have an accent but I am able to understand her easily.
Peer Gynt is probably my favorite yarn, it's makes the best sweaters. I already started wearing mine as a jacket because it just so terrificly wooly, waterproof and warm but airy. LOVE IT
Congratulations on your podcast anniversary Amy! I still remember the first video you posted , I was so excited to see a left handed knitter making such an informative podcast! Your Amy sweater is gonna be so good, Love good deep chocolate shades. Thanks for another video!

I’m in Copenhagen for the weekend and just got some Sysleriget Merino Singles to make a Monday sweater for myself, also with a mohair 😊 loved the podcast, thank you!!
I’m planning to go to a couple of the shops in the greater Boston yarn crawl tomorrow. Most of the shops are further than I want to travel, but the Needham area isn’t to far and I love that I can go yarn shopping on a Sunday. I really love the bag you made! The handles make the finish so professional.
Just love that every day sweater on you! A few years ago I was in Boston for three days between two trips to Rockport and I did my own self prescribed yarn crawl through Boston! It was so fun. A knitters dream.😂
It seems that your Everyday Sweater was made with a carded yarn. This type are transforming a lot after blocking. I have to do 'sweater surgery' with similar yarn too. Thanks for all the tips how to do it in a better way! :)
As usual, your projects are all beautiful. But I was especially impressed with the crocheted bag. It turned out wonderfully. I love the leather handles with it.
I totally agree with the fluffy yarn prediction! I am also part of the group that is buying and using those fluffy yarns! I am currently working on a Nebula by Andrea Mowry with the recommended Oh Dang! DK from Farmer's Daughter Fibers, and I just bought sooo much Drops Air since Wool Warehouse had a 30% off sale
You have been knocking out so much knitting! And oh man I am trying to finish my KFO pure silk Project before casting on a new one but that turtle tank has me all ❤❤❤.
Now I have the Invisible String song stuck in my head 😂 I recently finished the Mara shawl/scarf, but knit it for a store sample so it’s not mine. I probably will make another one for myself. Happy Anniversary!
As a new knitter, it was really interesting to hear literally everything you had to say in this podcast. I feel like I learn so much with every video of yours I watch.
so glad you like the juniper moon farms yarn bc I have two sweater quantities in different shades of that same yarn!!! now I’m thinking of moving those projects up in my queue lol
That sweater surgery was impressive and I learned something new! I tend to just undo work to fix things but maybe I can be brave in the future and try more daring fixes. Also, love the bag with the leather handles! It looks way more polished to have those leather handles. I think I’m going to have to make at least one of those bags for me!
Thank you, Amy, for another fantastic video. I love all of your makes, and I really enjoy hearing what you have planned for your acquisitions. I don't know if you remember when I mentioned on one of your Instagram posts about the trouble I had knitting the Boho Blush shawl by Andrea Mowry, I ended up frogging it about 8 times in total because I just couldn't understand how to do the various patterned sections. Well, after putting about 5 lifelines in, I am pleased to report that I have almost completed the shawl! 🎉🎉 And I'm so proud of myself. My knitting this pattern was first inspired by you when you knitted the pattern. Keep up the great work, Amy, because you inspire so many of us. 😊🥰
I would like to suggest that you line your purse with cotton fabric to stop the stretching. It is easy to do. I don't think starching it will be as effective.
Your bag looks better than the original. Good call on the handle. We are about the same size, do you think I should do a size smaller on the o neck? Congratulations on two years.
The green beanie is a gorgeous color on you! Also, thanks for sharing the technique for altering the length in your finished sweater, I may end up trying that soon.
Happy Anniversary for your channel! 🙌 I think the Totally Tubular Turtle Tank will be my impulse cast on as well, I have some chunky leftover yarn that would be perfect for it. So as always thanks for sharing!
I LOVE that green hat. I have some peer gynt in a similar color that I got by accident (ordered a sweater quantity of double sunday and somehow a peer gynt got mixed in 😂) that I was thinking of making a hat with.
I hear when you add the collar, it pulls up the sleeves, so would you add the collar, and block, and try on, Before adding the sleeves ..to avoid possible shrinkage of the sleeve length , to save time and be most productive in your knit 🧶? 😊 thank you in advance for your expertise.
Amy I’m loving all of your projects! I’m also making the Ingrid sweater right now out of Peer Gynt and I’m obsessed. The yarn is so bouncy and squishy!
Your new Ruby & Roses yarn is gorgeous! I think it could look really great knit up into the Big Rib pattern (JessieMaedDesigns). And happy YT anniversary!
I feel the same way about picking up stitches 😅 I like how drop shoulders fit me better but I prefer how the sleeves are mostly live stitches in a raglan or circular yoke
The beanie is really cute on you! I would suspect that the issue with the crown is likely due to the superwash nature of your yarn. I’ve learned this through experience and have since stopped knitting with any superwash fibers. And there’s the chemical treatments used to achieve washability and the environmental impact.

This is the smartest idea! Thank you! I'm be trying this for sure!
Brilliant. I use plastic canvas cut to size for stability. I’ll save that for odd sized/shaped bags/baskets but I’d love something smooth, and ALREADY DONE whenever possible. Thanks! 💜
Yes! You motivated me to make one. My daughter loves it so I am going to give it to her and start another one. 💕
That ruby and roses soft rose invisible string yarn looks exactly like a pigeon to me! I love that :)
I use a balloon to “block” my knitted hats. Just put a regular sized balloon inside the damp hat and blow it up to the size you want it to be.
Love your podcasts!!
Brilliant!
Thanks for showing your sweater surgery! Actually gives the confidence I could do it! : )
Love your background color.

@@taylor.m.24 I appreciate it. Thanks so much
I also was intimidated at first but the Ingrid Sweater is really so much fun! You‘ll manage also as a new knitter. The pattern is very cool. 🙂

Same!!! I have knit several sweaters in it and they are always my most reached for sweaters to wear.
Love those blue walls!
Absolutely love that you're knitting a sweater with the same name as you! And the brown is beautiful!!

Great video :) can’t wait to see the yarn crawl footage! I wish there was something like that in PA where I am from 🥲

Hope to run into you crawling this weekend! I won't be at all 14 shops, but I'm trying to hit up 6 or 7. :)
Thanks Amy for all of your practical advice and sharing your knits and crochet projects! I love watching you!
You finish each project beautifully. I'm not sure I could make Kitchener stitch so invisible. The bag is just gorgeous!!!

Love your crochet bag. It looks fantastic with the leather straps! 🤩😍🤩

My yarn is currently at sit ‘n knit so keep an eye out for cesium yarn! I was looking for you at Boston fiber fest, I hope I’ll see you next year!

You're my favorite Podcaster! Love your videos! Congratulations on 2 years!
For time sake, would you do the sweater surgery again or would you just rip out the ribbing, knit to length and reknit the ribbing?
I would like to suggest that you line your purse with cotton fabric to stop the stretching. It is easy to do. I don't think starching it will be as effective.

Love all your knits, thanks for sharing💕💕💕Congrats on 2 years💕💕💕
Everything is so beautiful. That Ingrid sweater is stunning, can't wait to see it done. Congrats on two years.
You should try Lamb & Kid Mho Mho in the color way Pitch for your Sislerget yarn sweater.
Can tell you firsthand that suburbs/Boston area old home cold is a cold like no other! You'll definitely get good use out of your sweaters!
Wow Amy, very nice sweater surgery, I wouldn't dare to do it paha
A bottle holder is a brilliant idea!
Ruby and roses’ wool wash after dyeing is soooooo yummy. Love it
Happy Anniversary for your channel! 🙌

Your bag is very nice. Loving the sapphire sweater.
Such brave sweater surgery 😮
Congrats on two years!🎉🎉🎉
Great job on the sweater surgery! Your Éze Basket Bag looks great. 🧶 Love the color of your Ingrid Sweater and Musselburgh Hat. Congrats on 2 years! 🥳
❤️🌈
❤🌈🧶
I LOVE that green hat. I have some peer gynt in a similar color that I got by accident (ordered a sweater quantity of double sunday and somehow a peer gynt got mixed in 😂) that I was thinking of making a hat with.

I have a question about the sewrella yarn you are using for your tank! Does the yarn shed like a mohair does? Just wondering about that! Thanks!
I feel the same way about picking up stitches 😅 I like how drop shoulders fit me better but I prefer how the sleeves are mostly live stitches in a raglan or circular yoke
Great explanation/visuals of sweater surgery! Thank you.
I think you will absolutely stunning in that dark chocolate colour. You make me want to get my colours done too!
I just started my Eva cardigan in Peer Gynt last night. So far I love it.
Loved it all! Your skills and enthusiasm match! 😊
Your crochet bag is absolutely beautiful 🌰🍂🍁
Starch will definitely make it smell…. Weird! I like it as is ❤
Love the Eze bag with the leather handles!
You always make my day!😊

Out of all the podcasts I watch, I enjoy yours the most.
I've lost count how many channels I watch that already have received a Hooks&Needles Kit. Hope that calms down soon...
