HEXA is also relatively easy to drive. I have mine paired to some KZ AZ09 Pro's at the moment. Did have to convert the housing for C-pin (CDC) male connectors on these earhooks to B-Pin by shaving away part of the silicone shroud to expose more of the pins for a secure coupling. I used the Legacy 4 it for mixing, for a good year, but my ears nearly exploded. Yes, I know how to use all the little switches, and used them in every combination. The Blessing is too rich for my blood, it better be dramatically better than the KXXS, if I’m gonna shell out for another moondrop with a silver shell. I have perfect pitch, as a happy accident of birth, and I never see, read or hear any reviewers who mention this, as an aspect of analyzing sound. It means I can transpose a song, in every key, naturally, without theory or training. I’ve had training, but it actually slows my process down tremendously. I love the 7hz timeless, surprisingly, since most beloved iems, don’t tend to be as beloved by me. The Oxygen is another winner. Better than the New Hana. Shozy form 1.1 and the Shozy 1.4 are also among my favorites. Ikko OH10 is still a winner as well. And there will always be a special place in me heart, for the Moondrop Starfield. Every time I use these, I am surprised by how much I still love them. They are unique. They may not be the best, which I get, but they have something special, it is a holistic quality, in which no one single aspect is stellar, but somehow, all put together, it is special. I think Moondrop would be wise, to continue an the idea of painting the shell of each set, ( I know it’s not hand painted, but they did a great job of making look hand painting, chips and all) instead of the rather generic quality, they seem to be settling for. The name, the aesthetic, were so effective, and appealing. The shells look much more generic now, as they only decorate the plate, facade. Iems tend to be more of a listening experience, which is why I love them. You feel so engrossed in the sound, the way you do watching a great film, or reading an excellent book. It is so rare during these difficult historical times we are living in, to find this kind of attention to detail, originality, and ingenuity, it so refreshing. Creativity, as a whole, is being terribly stifled by psychotic political correctness. Your reviews are always my favorite. Thanks for doing them. -Seattle, the entire poop-needle infested, once beautiful, gracious, now self loathing, city
I found this to be a rather small, very comfortable IEM. Right now I prefer the Truthear Zero Crinacle. The Hexa lacks the low bass of Zero. A whole dimension is lacking. I can't listen to amapiano with Hexar. It's like half the song is gone. I have only tried each of the stock tips. There seems to be a problem with female vocals. But, problem might be my ears. Horns sound great. I'll try more tips.
happy thursday evening haha, thats a mood, becoming huge fan of yours, you speak sense in a senseless world....once i realized im for no reason saving money on my biggest passion - music - (and he devices that enable me to enjoy it) i think im ready to go nuts fck the money i mean, why should it sit on my account when it can be in my ears blessing me every day? i purchased my first IEMs month ago and so far loving it, just the overear design with chinstrap seems perfect, the bigger build doesnt bother me at all which i was kinda fearing...i thing im buying FH3s next week or so, the FH1S i have now are gonna stay in my workplace, theyre definitely not balanced soundwise but most of the electronic produced music/beats i play on it sound much better then earbuds i used so far, cheeeers
There out there a neutral ( or flat) iem's with some bass emphasis? 50-100 euros? Trying to find some bassy iem's but without loosing mids and heights, good for music with female vocals (Enja-let's go for example)
Hi Mark. I hope you are well. How much better would you say the Hexa is than the Tin C2? Much much better or a lot better? I know they are different sounding earphones but was just wondering what you think.
I've owned both, if u don't mind the price difference, hexa is step up. Bass on C2 is stronger but hexa has enjoyable bass (not lacking) . Hexa beats C2 in every ways IMO.
what is yr best recomendatioan for range price 50-150 usd, the preference is this 4 : 1. great treble extension, airy till upper treble, 2. can present 3d holograohic imaging, or at least closest to that, 3. tonal balance is good. 4. great resolution , micro details and separation at that price. thanks
I just had Truthear Zero & this one came out. Is it a worthy upgdare? I do like signature of Zero (with slight EQ on treble) & style quite more, but what about technicalities & timbre? Does mids and treble on BA perform better than dynamic driver?
Based on tunning, the t4 has a more treble flatter sub base...t4 is an excellent item specially for female vocals, and the hexa seems to be also a pretty good IEM, I think buy both, and you have 2 different tunning for different occasions - incredible you can have these, the t4 and a planar for under $300
Edit: in the live chat, Mark put hexa above er4xr overall Thanks for covering the ety er2. I've moved from it to the er3se for the detail and dynamics. Is the hexa on par or worse in that regard?
Great video. Lost my beloved ER2XR's last year and now I'm ready for buying them again. However, I felt the hype for the Hexa so I wonder if I should buy them instead. ER's tuning felt perfect for me, I don't know if Hexa would give me more. If they are so similar, I would choose ER because of isolation, unless Hexa is near in that regard.
Please help somebody Truthear Hexa vs moondrop chu vs truthear hola I want a versatile earphone for movies, listening quran and videos and podcasts. Which is best for me I am a beginner, please suggest one that doesn't damage my ear, i have already damaged my ears by a bad earphones.
Which model do you recommend for live music in-ear monitoring? (Gospel band) Which is more linear, balanced sounding? I need to hear all frequencies, without too much bass in order to not cover other frequencies. It has to sounds clear without eq. The sounding to not be fatique or harsh at mid-high frequency. Power handling is also important, and clarity at high volume. Thank you very much!
Are you able to get a good seal with these? Or do you recommend buying different tips? I will be using these for playing/recording live instruments/drums, so I need decent sound isolation
Would these be good for both music and games? Im thinking on getting some cause my old hwadset is not that nice and i am starting to prefer in ear headphones to over ear ones
How is the treble/upper mids compared to the dunu titan s? I'm considering getting either the hexa or titan s but i'm a bit worried about them being too bright/harsh
May i know which is better for kpop , jazz music , and female vocals? The gizaudio galelio vs the hexa vs zero red. May i know which is better? Or do you have any suggestions? My budget is under USD 100. I did saw the gizaudio chopin but the price is too high for me. Gizaudio music preferences and your music preferences i feels like i have the same preference. So yeah. Hope you reply to my comments thanks.
I have the C2 and find it a little harsh so coping with EQ, but it does sound crisp. Do you think that the Hexa is a worthy upgrade over the C2? Especially in soundstage?
@@sadecebiri395 6 months in and I think I got so used to the C2 mech warrior that I tend to lead towards the "bright" side 😅. So my next bet would be to go to Simgot EM6L soon because the EM6L is both bright and has a wider soundstage according to most reviews.
Would you be able to recommend between these and the Delci's@@SuperReview? I listen to vocals only audio (male, R&B-like vocals) and have been recommended both these IEMs - I preferred natural sounding vocals with good clarity and just a bit of crispness. Thanks 👍
I just got the hexa and really like the sound of them! However the nozzles are big for my ear canal... Any alternative suggestions?? Dig the neutral sound profile, helps me to eq my sounds when playing live gigs as a keyboard player!
For this sound signature, no, no real options that are easier to fit. If you have other tips you can try, often changing tips will help with the fit and comfort.
Hey, would you say these are best IEM under 150CAD? Should wait for new Truthear product or just get what's available right now? I heard they are supposed to be warmer, I'm worried Hexa might have less bass than what I want (bass is not my focus but would prefer a good amount).
Great IEM. However, I had a friend try these out and the stock tips actually slipped off the nozzles and got stuck in his ears. We needed to use tweezers to pull them out. So fair warning.
I know that it may be like comparing apples and oranges but I am going to ask anyway. I own the Sony WF-1000XM4 and I set the eq as suggested and I am happy with that. So finally my dump question: using EarStudio 100 DAC and Hexa, would they sound better?
I love this IEM, hate the cable and think the stock tips are actually quite good. Sound wise it reminds me of the Starfield in that I can put them in and listen to music for hours on end without issue, they are just inoffensive and natural. The cable is a hot mess though, I think the Hola came with a better cable and that's saying a lot, put my Tripowin cable on and that was that. I like the stock ear tips for fit and sound. I have tested many others and like the Dunu S&S and Spinfit W1 and CP145 but they just don't feel quite right, Dunu is the closest to feeling like a stock tip designed for these, spinfit looks funky and almost blocks the ports. I'm sure i'll find a fully custom setup for these in time. Looking at a Hakugei cable and some Final Type E tips.
I'm almost pulling the trigger on these coz it seems I would probably love the tuning here. How does it compare the entry level planar tho? Like dioko, or tinhifi P1?
I'm not a musician so I can only speculate. I personally would think that something like ThieAudio Legacy 2 would be better for that job because of how well it fits -- it's comfortable and stays in place well. The Hexa sounds better IMO, but if you're moving on stage it won't be as stable.
There's so many great iems available under $300, the hexa will do very well, 11:11 has been a nightmare in terms of choosing an iem, I narrowed it down to the yanyin cannon and pulled the trigger
@@CRW93 I only bought yesterday along with tempotec V6, can't wait to get them both, but I want the hexa now as well, I can't remember the last time and iem was hyped so much, probably like when the blon 03 first did the rounnds

Hey Mark, great video yet again❤! Any other ear tips recommendations? Was wondering how would the moondrop spring tips pair with the hexa?
I think it'l come down to your individual ear. I'm using Final E-type TWS.
@@SuperReview thank you!!
-Seattle, the entire poop-needle infested, once beautiful, gracious, now self loathing, city
thanks i just order a pair for Stage monitoring. i was interested on the blessing 2 but now i can buy more gear with the extra money
Rare IEM that was worth the hype upon release that has gotten better with age.
I try to make sure I don't hype things that won't stand the test of time.
Hey, I read that the drivers require 100hours burn in. Did you try that 1 month in?
happy thursday evening haha, thats a mood, becoming huge fan of yours, you speak sense in a senseless world....once i realized im for no reason saving money on my biggest passion - music - (and he devices that enable me to enjoy it) i think im ready to go nuts fck the money i mean, why should it sit on my account when it can be in my ears blessing me every day? i purchased my first IEMs month ago and so far loving it, just the overear design with chinstrap seems perfect, the bigger build doesnt bother me at all which i was kinda fearing...i thing im buying FH3s next week or so, the FH1S i have now are gonna stay in my workplace, theyre definitely not balanced soundwise but most of the electronic produced music/beats i play on it sound much better then earbuds i used so far, cheeeers
🤙
Compare with FH3 or KATO?
There out there a neutral ( or flat) iem's with some bass emphasis? 50-100 euros? Trying to find some bassy iem's but without loosing mids and heights, good for music with female vocals (Enja-let's go for example)
Hello thx for the review. It's really good for music yes but if we are talking about the game, is it decent for gaming too?
Hexa actually reminds me the most Symphonium Helios shranked down… I know it’s different but… can’t help it✌️😁
Hi Mark.
I hope you are well.
How much better would you say the Hexa is than the Tin C2?
Much much better or a lot better?
I know they are different sounding earphones but was just wondering what you think.
have the same question about this
I've owned both, if u don't mind the price difference, hexa is step up. Bass on C2 is stronger but hexa has enjoyable bass (not lacking) . Hexa beats C2 in every ways IMO.
Just ordered them
I thought these was going to be a pain to wear as it looked very similar to the KZ ZS6, but I'm really impressed with the fit
Just ordered these.
Love the iem. Wish it had +6db bass
There are lots of bassy IEMs, lemme have this one.
@@SuperReview haha
@@SuperReview is the Salnotes Zero considered bassy?
Fastest purchase of the month!
what is yr best recomendatioan for range price 50-150 usd, the preference is this 4 :
1. great treble extension, airy till upper treble,
2. can present 3d holograohic imaging, or at least closest to that,
3. tonal balance is good.
4. great resolution , micro details and separation at that price.
thanks
Tripowin Olina is for you with spinfit eartips!
@@Rsalmond83 olina SE or S12 pro? The most Closest to this 4 preference above
I just had Truthear Zero & this one came out. Is it a worthy upgdare? I do like signature of Zero (with slight EQ on treble) & style quite more, but what about technicalities & timbre? Does mids and treble on BA perform better than dynamic driver?
If you're happy with Zero, be happy 🤙 Hexa is very different tuning, more neutral and midrange focused. I wouldn't say much about timbre between them.
Nice review as ussual. I wonder if Truthear HEXA can be compared with TIN Hifi T4?
Based on tunning, the t4 has a more treble flatter sub base...t4 is an excellent item specially for female vocals, and the hexa seems to be also a pretty good IEM, I think buy both, and you have 2 different tunning for different occasions - incredible you can have these, the t4 and a planar for under $300
Edit: in the live chat, Mark put hexa above er4xr overall
Thanks for covering the ety er2. I've moved from it to the er3se for the detail and dynamics. Is the hexa on par or worse in that regard?
I don't believe ER3 to be superior than ER2 in terms of dynamics. detail retrieval, maybe. Hexa should be better than all of ER series
Veeery nice release from Truthear. Great review too!
I personally prefer Hexa, but they are pretty similar. If the Etymotic fit doesn't bother you, ER2 is a good option. Isolation will be stronge.
@@SuperReview thanks a lot, love your reviews! Do you think Hexa has good isolation or is it nowhere as near as ER's? :)
I doubt it will be as strong, but isolation isn't something I typically test for since I mostly listen at home.
@@SuperReview thanks a lot :)
Thank you, i am enjoying one now
Hey Mark….what kinda ear tips did you put on the Hexa
Final TWS E-type
Please help somebody
Truthear Hexa vs moondrop chu vs truthear hola
I want a versatile earphone for movies, listening quran and videos and podcasts.
Which is best for me
I am a beginner, please suggest one that doesn't damage my ear, i have already damaged my ears by a bad earphones.
Which model do you recommend for live music in-ear monitoring? (Gospel band)
Which is more linear, balanced sounding? I need to hear all frequencies, without too much bass in order to not cover other frequencies. It has to sounds clear without eq.
The sounding to not be fatique or harsh at mid-high frequency. Power handling is also important, and clarity at high volume.
Thank you very much!
Could you review the Tangzu Wan'er that recently got released?
Are you able to get a good seal with these? Or do you recommend buying different tips? I will be using these for playing/recording live instruments/drums, so I need decent sound isolation
Good for me, but tips are personal. For Hexa, I like a wider + shorter tip than usual.
Titan S comes across brighter to me.
I sold my blessing 2 got this and kept the cash, purely based on aesthetics I prefer the look of the cheaper looking cousin
thoughts about this compared to the moondrop aria?
Does anyone know how this holds up compared to KZ ZSN PRO? I know not a balance comparison but just wanna know the difference. Thanks.
Comparison to the Volume and FH3 and L2 please
I have the C2 and find it a little harsh so coping with EQ, but it does sound crisp. Do you think that the Hexa is a worthy upgrade over the C2? Especially in soundstage?
What have you done? I am now same situation, ı have C2 mech warrior. I want wide soundstage
@@sadecebiri395 6 months in and I think I got so used to the C2 mech warrior that I tend to lead towards the "bright" side 😅. So my next bet would be to go to Simgot EM6L soon because the EM6L is both bright and has a wider soundstage according to most reviews.
Hey Mark, what kind of tips would you recommend for the Hexas? Am using them for vocals.
Whatever fits you my man, I'm using Fiio HS18.
@@SuperReview Nice, thanks :)
This is best under $150.
@SuperReview Thank you!
Great IEM. However, I had a friend try these out and the stock tips actually slipped off the nozzles and got stuck in his ears. We needed to use tweezers to pull them out. So fair warning.
How? I have to use a lot of force to pull tips off these. Feel like im going to rip the silicone or break the nozzle first.
I know that it may be like comparing apples and oranges but I am going to ask anyway. I own the Sony WF-1000XM4 and I set the eq as suggested and I am happy with that. So finally my dump question: using EarStudio 100 DAC and Hexa, would they sound better?
I haven't compared them, but I would personally probably prefer the Hexa.
If you were to compare the Aria SE and hexa what're the differences of both and which one would you prefer
I think hexa hits his target closer than aria se. So i guess he'd pick the hexa
Kinda late but how would you compare the Hexa with the other $80 IEMs, the Aria and Titan S, maybe in technicalities (imaging, soundstage)?
No major differences on those fronts.
49:00 oh he already answer your question 🙂
Another gr8 review Mark, which has the better techs, this - or the Fiio FH3?
FH3 has stronger separation / imaging and better bass quality, but treble quality goes to Hexa.
What about the tips!! 😢 hehe please tell me mark. Or does anyone know if he has posted anything on ear tips?
Great review, Mark!
✌️
Just ordered a set , 60 bucks ... Figured why not add another to the collection 😁
I did not realised this is a BA DD hybrid config. No wonder how the tuning end up so good when done right.
If i have a aria already, will you call it an upgrade to buy a hexa or it is just a different approach in terms of tuning
Pretty different tuning, Aria is more warm and bassy, Hexa more midrange / vocal focused.
@@SuperReview maybe it is time to try a different taste 🤔
To an Aria? Bruh, mos def an upgrade. Jus the cause they are the same price doesn't make them in no way similar
how are these IEMs comparing to some headphones? like Sivga Oriole (i run them with Fiio K7) or Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless ?
it has unbiased sound quality. Neutral and very clean ❤ go for it.
Hi, are they a good choice for rock music, such as The offspring, red hot...?
I use them for everything.
Ordered them, will tell my impressions.
Thanks for this interesting review. How would you compare them to the olina SE?
Haven't heard it.
Hi Mark !
If I already have the EW200 and the S12 OG, which one should I get to complement my collection: the Cadenza or the Hexa ?
go for hexa
What eartips are u using
Can we get the Moondrop Alice review please
Hi Super! Will you be reviewing JQ 4U Pro / Hisenior Mega5P? It's an interesting hybrid ala Magrid Tea in $200 price range.
No, sorry, don't have those in my plans.
I'm almost pulling the trigger on these coz it seems I would probably love the tuning here. How does it compare the entry level planar tho? Like dioko, or tinhifi P1?
Better / fuller tuning on the Hexa, but not gonna have the same wow factor with details.
what iem with the same price can complement hexa's weakness?
Hi do you know if these would be good for on stage for musicians??
I'm not a musician so I can only speculate. I personally would think that something like ThieAudio Legacy 2 would be better for that job because of how well it fits -- it's comfortable and stays in place well. The Hexa sounds better IMO, but if you're moving on stage it won't be as stable.
So Hexa is a budget blessing 2 with 70% or 80% of the technicalities from the blessing 2?
I don't know why but the smooth stems with no locking for the ear tips makes me anxious 😂
They are matte in finish and slightly flared out, I don't think it will be a problem. The tips have not come close to falling off for me.
How do they fare to the timeless?
Hi Mark! I'm currently running a Moondrop Aria, do you consider the Hexa an upgrade to the Aria?
I like Hexa better, but "upgrade" is a loaded word. People who prefer more bass will probably prefer Aria.
how do they in gaming soundstage/imaginign/immersivness
There's so many great iems available under $300, the hexa will do very well, 11:11 has been a nightmare in terms of choosing an iem, I narrowed it down to the yanyin cannon and pulled the trigger
Do you like the cannon?
I hope the pun was intentional
@@CRW93 I only bought yesterday along with tempotec V6, can't wait to get them both, but I want the hexa now as well, I can't remember the last time and iem was hyped so much, probably like when the blon 03 first did the rounnds
@@algiffaryriony no It wasnt but good observation 😂😂😂
How is it compared to the Moondrop SSR?
nice review.
Hey. Is that IEM something for metal music? I own a Mee Audio Pinnacle P1 and I am looking for another one :)
I don't really believe in genre-based headphone selection.
The Hexas or Zero blue? I would use them for gaming, music and zoom calls. Appreciate the help!
i would say hexas for everything. . i would advice you to buy also the Qudelix - USB / Bluetooth 5K. The Zero blue is more bass heavy.
