BENGAL TO GET FIVE MEGA INDUSTRIAL PARK WITHIN A YEAR ORDERS MAMTA | BENGAL GLOBAL BUSINESS SUMMIT

- The World Bengal Trade Conference / Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) is to be held in the state after two years.
Due to overcrowding, it was not possible to hold this trade conference in West Bengal in 2020 and 2021.
But this time the state government wants to fill the gaps of the last two years.
And Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee herself has taken initiative to attract investment in Bengal.
As a result, he directed to speed up the construction of five industrial parks in the state.
To that end, the state wants to start work on infrastructure development of five industrial parks in the state before the trade conference.
The Chief Minister has recently convened a meeting of the Industrial Empowerment Committee.
There he asked the top officials of the state administration to emphasize on this issue.
After that West Bengal Small Industries Corporation started working with responsibility.
Of the five, three have been decided in South Bengal and two in North Bengal.
They have undertaken the infrastructure development of five proposed industrial estates, including an agro-based industrial park in Singur.
Apart from Singur, four other proposed industrial parks are Bolpur Industrial Park, Gangajalghati Industrial Park in Bankura, Ethelbari Industrial Park in Alipurduar and Jaigaon Industrial Park.
The state's small scale industrial corporation has already called for tenders for infrastructure development work.
The infrastructure of five industrial parks will be completed within a year.
The Chief Minister will aim to attract investment in BGBS by showing these industrial parks.
Preliminary work on the construction of the park will begin with the construction of walls in these industrial parks.
Administrative offices, roads and water supply infrastructure will also be constructed.
According to a state official, the development of these industrial parks could create employment opportunities for thousands of people.
It is learned that there will be some difference between the industrial park of Singur and other industrial parks.
This industrial park of Singur is being developed on a total land of 11.6 acres.
The food processing industry will be developed here.
Vegetables, fruits and other crops produced by Singur farmers can be sold there.
As a result, on the one hand, farmers will get the opportunity to sell their produce, on the other hand, there will be employment opportunities in the industrial sector, said a state official.

If our government can give SEZ like Tamil Nadu then only we can expect industry.
If agricultural state like Tamil Nadu can change to most industrial state of India in last 10 years by giving almost 60 SEZ, then why not west Bengal.
Wb has everything ready it just needs a ignition from government.

SEZ concept is in its sunset phase now. Hardly will new SEZs fetch you much benefits. States which started earlier (a decade or two back) like TN, MH, KA, GJ, AP etc. only got advantage of the SEZs. Many other states (like WB) too missed the bus to take advantage of SEZs and their benefits. Now these developed states continue to get new industries only because of the "ECOSYSTEM" they've been able to successfully establish esp. in the last couple of decades, something WB missed out. So no use crying for SEZ now, দাঁত থাকতে দাঁতের মর্ম বুঝতে হয়...

Industrial parks galore without any industry. Government has to allow SEZ and make changes in the land policy to assist in acquiring land and ensure excellent infrastructure and stop party hooligans from intimidating industry for supplies and cut money - will this be ever possible in this state. So no industry will ever come here in a big way.

I found your this video inclined to a specific political party, you openly ignored the case of infosys by saying you don't want to tell who brought the IT giants and how current state Govt delayed the project for 12years, and you are focusing 11acre of industrial park in Singur out of 1000acre land which is 1% of the total estimated project. This type of video will create false hope among lacs of unemployed in WB. I will advice you to put significant information's and also you should inform significant losses we had to bear due to filthy politics. This will make you transparent and you will earn more respect from your viewer's. Otherwise your video's will be like IT cell videos of the rulling party.

Can we first clean up the city especially Budherhat, Garia Station and those regions. The outskirts of the city looks like it is stuck in a rut atleast 50 years behind. Take a cue from other cities in India. Can you also beautify the hawker stalls. Can the ugly tarpaulin everywhere we replaced with somthing that is better to look at. After that we can go to step 2 and talk about industries. Build and clear the infrastructure first. What is the mayor doing? Such a good for nothing.
This Government is so busy in doing politics that everything else seems to take a backseat. They are not realizing that West Bengal needs to be on double dose of steroids to achieve even 50% of its past glory. A little work here and there and constantly comparing with the Leftists will lead us to nowhere. I feel so ashamed when my friends from other states come to visit the city. They have just beautified on tiny part of the city and everything else can go to hell.
Dear didi and co., throw your ego into the gutter and beg, borrow and steal to get back industries and expats back to the state. Take a cue from the Southern states most of which are also in opposition If your ministries cant handle it setup independent bodies of consultants with industrialists and well wishers from the industry to help get business for the state. You dont need to do everything yourself. Pleas dont perpetually live in a bubble. Nothing is better.
