I don't know why our Sri Lankans ask a guest where somebody is from. The first question they ask from a visitor is what country they are from. It does not matter which country or nation a person is from; treat all guests and visitors to Sri Lanka the same. If a visitor is taping a vlog as is speaking Hindi and the locals hear this they should obviously realize this guest is from India. Possibly quietly later they can ask which area of India they are from given our two countries are neighbors. This question should not be a direct question when a guest is entering the lobby of a hotel. This type of rudeness ruins the whole fabric of a visitor's pleasant and exciting trip to Sri Lanka.
