How do y'all feel about starting your pilot journey? What about having a single pilot flight deck??

      To reply to this :
I want to get started. Ever since I understand that it CAN be done....however. (You'll see my post, perhaps. No sense in repeating it.😊)
As far as the single pilot. In a single word "NO."
That is about as bad as having a race car driver with no spotter, crew, or anything...along with other 40 - 50 race car drivers in the same.
      You are looking for disaster.
Yes, we have single pilot crews namely fighter pilots F16, F18, etc. But they are not logging in the hours as commercial. They are not traveling the amount of distance that commercial are.
That's why, I think, you don't hear many fighter pilots dying of health issues, while in flight. Commercial airlines....yes. Sadly, probably more than we hear about.
Point is, you go to single pilot decks, not only there is a safety issue at stake, there is also the health issue.
      So, NO, bad idea.
Something else to think about, going to 1 person crew, only opens the door to something else.
0 person crew. It's dialed in somewhere by computer and the people on board are , well, just along for the ride.
I believe it will get to that point one day. But, let's hope it's many years away so we can keep the pilots career going strong.
      Thank you. 😊

The pilot/FO relationship is too important to outsource to AI. I know that they have auto pilot systems that can even land in a pinch but I’d rather have a human available to check the computer.

You make a very good point! Crew resource management is a pertinent component of every flight.
