  • Full episode available on our Patreon. PEAK VIC is a New York City graffiti writer whose active campaign began in 1977. A founding member of VIC; a graffiti crew whose name stems from robbing writers in train yards, surrounding them & taking all their paint. When the trains went out, PEAK began hitting streets, trucks & ensuing roller-missions with REVS. Widely known for his graffiti-wars, PEAK speaks on beef, life, painting with REVS, trains, influence & more.

Damn! Peak is still out getting up! I remember bombing the wall in Grover Cleveland with him. It was more me watching out while he worked his magic. I was honored to have him put me up a bunch of times and put me down with VIC Crew. I was a few years younger, but we were both into metal in the mid 80s, not to mention I was also cool with RIE and ES, as well as some other older VIC Crew dudes that hung around near 93 and Forest Ave.
I loved all the old stories. I knew, and was friends with, so many of the writers named in the video. It's funny how he talks about it being a game. It's true! I initially had beef with, and fought with, a bunch of dudes that would later be like brothers to me. DG, Stak, BR, Blink, Doro, Agree, Deem, and so many other Ridgewood writers were one-time adversaries that I became friends with. I think it was just part of the culture at the time.
It's funny how I quit writing in the late 80s, once I was chargeable as an adult, but will still occasionally run into cats from back in the day that will call me DOR4 or 2SOON.😂😂😂

Also Ian if you guys can get any nsf’s for any interviews that’d be awesome. I feel like not a lot of dude’s outside of pgh really know how much went down in early mid 2000s in that city. Small city with a huge amount stories. Shout out to a lot of Pittsburgh writers. Soviet, gypsy, prism MF (rest in peace danny boy),Raels, vomet, kids, obviously hert haha. Scene is kind of dead now but I loved roaming through south side and in cutty spots back in the day. Anyways, mad respect ✊.

That might not be peak in the picture...might be Taylor swifts brother In laws dads second cuzin who felt like taking a picture in front of some pe throws... Who's to say... But the guy talking is most likely the real dude and doesn't wanna incriminate himself.... From my standpoint the guy talking and the interviewers know what they are doing... Not their first rodeo for sure .... The guy doing the interview definitely has been around the " legal" block before..💣👑💪
