Beau, I think that thing you're curious about is simply a brake rotor with a rod welded across it for an anchor. I could be wrong, though. It could possibly happen. ; )
It doesn't matter if you only found one bullet, I love to go along with you. Its better than being outdoors in 88 deg. temps with 92% humidity. This is the hottest May we've ever had and its miserable. But...my garden looks great, already have blossoms on my tomatoes. Poke salad, mmmm. My Mom brought plants back from Pennsylvania where my Dad was from when I was a kid. I remember eating it with vinegar and real bacon bits and it was heaven. I only have beet greens now, not bad but not as good as poke greens. Thank you for another AguaChigger adventure.
dang, chigs, i love your videos. the River Janitor keeps the finds coming and they never fail to intrigue me. thanks for doing what you do and keep up the amazing work!!
Hi Beau.. Just had to chime in on how sad it is that the Potomac has so much garbage in it. I absolutely love the river (I frequent Rileys and Violetts Lock) and have camped upon it's banks for weeks at a time since I was a small boy. Love your videos and have the utmost respect.. Keep doing what you do.. :)
Having lived in Virginia and the other Southern states most of my life, I can definitely say those turtles at 2:40 are little Stinkpots. My dad and I had sveral that had been injured by fishermen when he was station at Little Creek. Thanks for sharing your adventures - very jealous of your chances to go out and find history and just the odd things in a day in the woods and streams. :)
For generations going back at least a century, my family have prepared, fried and eaten the stalks of the poke plant, never had the salad though. Fantastic video as always!
thanks for making videos I really love them I feel adventurous no matter where I am on my couch, on my bed, or walking in my house I can still go on an adventure with you😊
I love your videos! I always feel like I'm going on an adventure with you with every new hunt. Even when you don't get anything that great, it's still a lot of fun to watch and learn new things along with you. Keep up the great videos!
That's almost like there was a junkyard there. It looks like that first iron object was a leaf spring off a car, and you had a brake rotor too. Your mystery object at 8:30 also looks like a brake rotor.
The object you found is a brake rotor . The gap with the fins dead giveaway to disperse heat . Looks like someone welded bar across to use as trap weight. Have a friend that uses them for traping.
I'm thinking the round object is some kind of tank lid. I have seen round tank lids with the cross bar across the central hole. It provides a handle for the lid while also letting the tank to be filled with liquid. That is a SWAG at best; there is not much to go on there (I can't see much detail.)
At 8.34 its another ventilated disc with a strip across the centre, probably for an anchor. It would be nice to find gold every day but it doesn't happen. Ha ha awesome videos Beau
heading to Cape cod this weekend. got a back yard of a 1655 homestead to play with. house is still standing and I have been told it never was detected. Family has owned it for a century. I am beside myself . can't wait.
Its just a break disk off of a truck or some sort of vehicle. The piece across the hole in the middle is probably a piece of iron that got stuck to it when they rust together.
Mr chigger 22 rimfire short was first made in 1857 for the first S&W revolver popular during the American civil war . A 29 grain round nose bullet was used .the all lead 22's you find close to civil war stuff maybe possible if they look old weigh 29 grains, It just makes me think, thank you.
I found a single a single rifle round and nothing else at all, that was in southern France on my dads land, it was German but the unusual thing was it had not been fired but it was crushed and had teeth marks in it. Strange
Hey Mr. Beau, what kind of boat is it that you are using in this video, Brand Name, Size & Style....Very Very cool...Id like to have something like this with an electric motor too. Thanks Mr Roach
If u ever want to clean rust off of things use salt and water and stir until all the rust is off just don't leave it in for to long cause it will start to eat it
I was wondering if you were going to poke your face in that poison ivy while looking at the poke weed! Hey, if you have any black smith friends, some of them might be interested in that old iron you pull out of the river. Wrought iron, spring steel, old wagon rims, even that large chunk of metal you thought was a piece of rail can be re purposed as raw material by a black smith. A good blade smith can take a wagon wheel and fashion a blade for some of those saber hilts you find.
Chigger, what type of boat do you run? I'm really looking for much the same type of boat for fly fishing adventures up here around Spokane Washington. Thanks for yet another fun video!
That thing looked like a brake rotor with something welded to the top for an anchor
I concur.
I agree
I agree
agree
you beat me to it I believe your right.
It's awesome how you mention Calabash, NC. I'm in Newton Grove, just a few miles from Bentonville Battleground

Hey. At about 12:20, you see how it's wavy? If you tilt the camera a little, it will let out the air bubbles so it will be less blurry
I always feel like I'm out there with you taking in the nature! Love your videos :) Best wishes from across the pond in Wales
At 8:28 it looks like a brake rotor

For generations going back at least a century, my family have prepared, fried and eaten the stalks of the poke plant, never had the salad though. Fantastic video as always!
8:25 looks exactly like the thing you pulled out a few minutes earlier, just with more dirt and rust on it, also with the groove around the rim
thanks for making videos I really love them I feel adventurous no matter where I am on my couch, on my bed, or walking in my house I can still go on an adventure with you😊

It's a brake rotor with a rod welded across it to use as an anchor. I really like the powered kayaks!
At 8:00 that's a brake rotor that looks like it has a bar welded to it to use for a weight.
Do-Dads n Bobbers were commenly used in the early 1700s to fish for muskrats. You sir, found a couple of gems!😮😆
That's almost like there was a junkyard there. It looks like that first iron object was a leaf spring off a car, and you had a brake rotor too. Your mystery object at 8:30 also looks like a brake rotor.

Poke Salad! Yay! Love all the history with the videos.
8:30 is a disc brake with a bar welded for a rope to make a anchor. atleast thats what i think. i could be wrong.
Lovin the boat.that one thing was a brake rotor someone welded the round stock to it .
that looks to be a home mad boat anchor formed of a brake disc with a bar across the axle hole.
Fun hunt! Your videos are really relaxing to watch, and somehow never boring :)
I'm thinking the round object is some kind of tank lid. I have seen round tank lids with the cross bar across the central hole. It provides a handle for the lid while also letting the tank to be filled with liquid. That is a SWAG at best; there is not much to go on there (I can't see much detail.)
at 9:18 looks like a brake rotor with a bar welded on it for maybe a homemade boat anchor
That big iron was a Car or truck brake rotor with a piece of metal
Welded on to tie line for an anchor.
Polk salad Annie was the song. I love Polk salad fried in scrambled eggs. Best way to eat it.
At 8.34 its another ventilated disc with a strip across the centre, probably for an anchor. It would be nice to find gold every day but it doesn't happen. Ha ha awesome videos Beau
Agreed. Brake rotor anchor. Made by the chinee..rare. Don’t find them often.
What a treat, another aquachigger video. Yaaaay!!
Its a brake rotor with a bar welded to it to attach a rope for use as an anchor.
I'm pretty sure that is a brake rotor with something welded across the hub opening to tie a line to use as a makeshift anchor
heading to Cape cod this weekend. got a back yard of a 1655 homestead to play with. house is still standing and I have been told it never was detected. Family has owned it for a century. I am beside myself . can't wait.
Thanks. Striper fishing after.
That rod with a high squeak was no accident. Civil War era boom box antennas were made of iron, but did get quite nice reception...
Yeah its a disk break with a bar welded across the axel hole we use them here in Australia for boat anchors
Its just a break disk off of a truck or some sort of vehicle. The piece across the hole in the middle is probably a piece of iron that got stuck to it when they rust together.
3:25-3:27....did u miss a ring at the bottom of the screen close to the right? A bit centered but also right????
at 8:30 it looks like a break rotor that somebody welded a piece of metal onto or something and used it as an anchor
No problem keep up the amazing work
i love the sound the camera makes when under water
it it a brake rotor with a piece of rod welded in place to make it into an anchor(8:32)
the iron you found at 8:12 is a car brake rotor someone made into a anchor is all
that random bit was a brake rotor with a bar welded to it for anchoring stuff
Congrats on 300K subscribers
I'm really loving these Dailey uploads.
At 8:30 that's a brake rotor with a rod welded over the hole.
I learn so much from your videos. Love em! Keep them comin'!
I have seen them as tent (not camping) weights, the rotor lays flat on the pavement, one is not a big trip hazard
that peice of iron is a brake disk with a peice of round stock welded accros it to tie arope for an ancor
brake rotor with a piece of metal welded in the center used as an anchor
I love polk!!! Fry it in some corn meal, delicious
Something about that "Press for help" button winding up in the water seems spooky. Interesting find.
That was a truck break rotor.
+Aquachigger please do a video about your boat and engine because it is cool. Good vid keep up the good work my man
'That's an old one though, I don't think that we will be keeping that.' What I never imagined to hear you say.
I tell Ya Mister Chigg...
Very impressive magnet on the end of the handle...
That big modern bullet you found looks like a .50 cal round of some sort. That's a big ass round for someone to be shooting for fun.
Looks like a disc brake rotor. with a bar welded across for an anchor connection. ??
8:29 looks like a big break for a lorry or truck must be for a texas truck as its huge!
Cute little musk turtles.

Mr chigger at 8:38 that is a harmonic balancer off of probably a truck due to its size
Thanks for uploading!
I love your videos!
8:30 Brake rotor made into a anchor
That home made boat anchor looked like a piece of crane rail.
I found a single a single rifle round and nothing else at all, that was in southern France on my dads land, it was German but the unusual thing was it had not been fired but it was crushed and had teeth marks in it. Strange
teeth marks in a gun!!??
like huma teeth marks?
+Enclave Soldier srry human*
Teeth marks in a rifle round... not a rifle.
LMBO! Press for help! Mount it to your vest! : )
8:30 it looks like a percussion instrument honestly
I don't know if I wanna boil something 3 times just to eat it......but thanks for the knowledge!
Check out the channel "GotBloodOutdoors" for full instruction on poke salet preparation.
Definitely a brake rotor and looks like off of a 4by4 light truck. 6 lug is half ton and 8 lug is three quarter and up.
all of these guesses. To quick to tell for sure. looked like a clutch plate from maybe 50's or 60's
Hey Mr. Beau, what kind of boat is it that you are using in this video, Brand Name, Size & Style....Very Very cool...Id like to have something like this with an electric motor too.
Thanks
Mr Roach

Our river, the Pecos, is a muddy no water mess.
Congrats on 300,000!!!
Agreeing with others, disc break rotor converted into a boat anchor :)
What you find good stuff!
If u ever want to clean rust off of things use salt and water and stir until all the rust is off just don't leave it in for to long cause it will start to eat it
molasses and water works as a rust remover too.
Never seen a brake rotor with a metal bar across the opening unless someone welded it on to use as a boat anchor
Nice pistol bullet Beau
Looks like an old civil war brake rotor for their trucks...;-)

More please we are having a drought here in Kalifornia .
I was wondering if you were going to poke your face in that poison ivy while looking at the poke weed!

Looks like a rake rotor for a car. .. I think I can even see a 5 bolt pattern on it.
that iron circle looks like a brake rotor. with a rod welded thourgh the center
Chigger, what type of boat do you run? I'm really looking for much the same type of boat for fly fishing adventures up here around Spokane Washington. Thanks for yet another fun video!
At 8:40, I would bet that is a brake rotor.
old rotar for car small truck looks like someone welded a bar to tie anker on to it

Yup. Rotor. Heavy enough for an anchor!!!
