Would much rather the Ravens go OL in the 1st round with best player available. But wouldn't exactly complain at all with that pick at #30 as perfect compliment with Zay. Also considering that Zay is arguably the first ever good WR ever drafted by the Ravens, if you're going to count on lightning striking twice, might as well go with a guy who perhaps is the safest in the draft at that position.
@@KI-wz7pr Zay Flowers is the first ever WR the Ravens drafted that can actually make a Pro Bowl. They’ve never even had that. A guy with legitimate chance to be great and make multiple at that
@@truthbearer7891 I hear u. I think Hollywood was pretty good. A big thing about pro bowls is stats. I give zay a chance because he plays slot and Lamar loves throwing the ball inside the numbers.
Two tips: 1. Mocks without trades when we basically KNOW the Vikings are trading up are beyond useless. We know all mocks are wrong, but one without an obvious trade is just extra wrong. 2. Never pick players because of YOUR board. If the league is pretty sure of some teams interest in the top 5, listen.
In a world where ESPN is putting out recycled hot take content 24/7 it’s nice to see that real ones like Mina and whoever the bro is making good stuff!
My Mock 3.0 - 1.Bears- Caleb Williams 2.Commanders- Jayden Daniels 3.Patriots trade pick with Vikings (11 & 23)- Drake May 4.Cardinals- Marvin Harrison 5.Chargers- Joe Alt 6.Giants- Malik Nabers 7.Titans- Troy Fautanu 8.Falcons- Laiatu Latu 9.Bears - Dallas Turner 10.Jets- Taliese Fuaga 11.Patriots - JJ McCarthy 12.Broncos trade pick to Jaguars- Romeo Odunze 13.Raiders- Olumuyiwa Faushanu 14.Saints- JC Latham 15.Colts- Brock Bowers 16.Seahawks- Jackson Powers Johnson 17.Broncos- Bo Nix 18.Bengals- Amarius Mims 19.Rams- Jared Verse 20.Steelers- Quinyon Mitchell 21.Dolphins- Chop Robinson 22.Eagles- Nate Wiggins 23.Patriots - Brian Thomas Jr. 24.Cowboys- Tyler Guyton 25.Packers- Terrion Arnold 26.Buccaneers- Graham Barton 27.Cardinals- Jerzahn Newton 28.Bills trade pick to Giants- Michael Penix 29.Lions- Cooper Dejean 30.Ravens-Darius Robinson 31.49ers- Byron Murphy jr. 32.Chiefs- Adonai Mitchell
In future War Rooms, you need to add trade down as an option and create more realistic options. Caleb/Maye is not an option. If the Bears were suddenly wanting to draft Maye, they would certainly trade down to 2 to get him and picks. Some of the other top 10 picks would suddenly become more interesting because the possibility of someone moving up to get a QB would alter the rest of the top 10 picks.
I know you said no trades, but it really feels like if Nabers/Odunze aren’t there then the Bears trade down. Maybe pick up JPJ later in the first. They just don’t have longevity at C right now and getting JPJ if the wideouts are gone seems the way to go. It also allows them to pick up maybe a 2nd round pick to get some of the WR depth that this draft has a lot of. With Moore and Allen, a 2nd round guy would have a lot less pressure.
Right out of the gate. I just made an argument that Jaden Daniels could be the best fit for the Bears in Soldier Fiels. California kids can struggle there. I can't see Williams reaching his full potential in Chicago. Shades of Jay Cutler 😮
I enjoyed watching Mina live quickly produce the show as much as the content 😂 I do think the Lions would take JPJ if he fell. Ragnow is retiring soon, Zielstra is a one year stop gap. McKinstry concerns me because of the straight line speed. I don’t want another Tez Tabor
Great format! Enjoyed it. Thanks!! Although DE is a logical choice in round one, obtaining the lynchpin for the OL in JPJ is too attractive. Barring injuries, we would go a long ways to establishing a solid OL. Go Bucs!!!
I'm not gonna lie, this is my first time actually seeing Danny Kelly so when I clicked I thought this was Tim Robinson and was way more excited for this episode (Sorry DK)
The world of sports has changed a lot in the past several decades, but sometimes you just have to stop, and say, "Wow; that's really something." I grew up with Keith Jackson on ABC doing college football games -- and Brent "You are looking LIVE" Musburger & Jimmy "The Greek" Snyder on Sundays before the NFL. At some point, their show started including a woman on the panel; first there was Phyllis George, and she was followed by Jayne Kennedy. Ms. George had been crowned Miss America in 1971, and Ms. Kennedy was a former Miss Ohio who competed in the Miss USA Pageant. (You don't exactly have to be a Tenured Professor of Sociology at Harvard, to see a "pattern" there.) So "Never Did I Ever," imagine that I'd live to see the day, when the dominant force in American sports media (ESPN) would prominently feature in their football coverage, a woman who was known for -- rather than walking across a stage in a bathing suit, in order to literally be "judged" by strangers, on how she "looks" while doing that -- graduating from summa cum laude Yale, and being universally acknowledged as the smartest person at the company. And in the spirit of "Real Recognize Real" -- anyone who has the professional respect & personal affection of both Stephen A. Smith & Dan Le Batard, has got what it takes. I've downloaded quite a few mock draft podcasts (e.g., Joel Klatt, Peter King mentee Ben Solak, Bootleg Football (Mina introduced me to Bootleg host Brett Kollmann, by having him on this show), but The Lenny Show feat. Mina Kimes is the one I'm going to first. And among the mocks I'm following, I neglected to mention today's guest Danny Kelly's "Ringer Fantasy Football Show" podcast -- which is a more "traditional,"' i.e., boys club-style festival of (mostly) harmless American male juvenility & love of sports, which often makes me laugh out loud. I don't think it's an overstatement, to say that there are thousands of little girls out there, watching ESPN with their grandads, fathers, and brothers...who will grow up knowing that it's possible for them to "be on TV" -- talking about sports, if that's their passion and they put in the work. But in any event, that they can do anything, and be anything, and pursue any goal they choose...and WITHOUT having to walk across an endless series of stages, in a bathing suit. And that's a change for the better. In other words, as the kids on TikTok say: "I SEE you, Mina Kimes."
Probably right-Chargers are trading down in any case. Plenty of WRs in this draft-They need a RT and/or starting CB, because cupboard is bare when it comes to starting corners for LAC!
The Lions want to win now. Drafting a corner would benefit a couple of years down the road. I would think they will draft DE or OG for immediate impact
why not Bowers for the Vikes? TJ is injured and will miss the early part of the season. Also they lack at WR3 so Bowers would be a 3rd target while TJ is out and open up double TE sets when he returns.
Mina you're one of my fav listens since your appearances on Lebatard and "The Morning Roast" with Clinton and Nique. Just one question though, since your hubby is a music producer and perhaps you might wonder the same at some point, can you ask Danny what's up with the Marshal Stack Amp Head up on the top shelf? Very curious!
Just discovered the show and it's a great format. Mina is a breath of fresh air from the overly loud and boisterous silly host on other shows. No gimmicks is a treat. Just football! Her partner is a good complement to her easy-going tone. I would love to see Mina in her classic pick-tail braids. She's a classy young woman. No 6" stilettos needed. 😊
The Vikings have their sights set on Drake Maye bcuz of his relationship with QB coach Josh McCown, If the Commanders take Maye at #2, all bets are off for a trade. Vikes will then pivot to trading up for JJ McCarthy.
I had a thought related to the Vikings first pick. If Kwesi can’t work out the right deal to move up to pick the quarterback they want I have this idea. Select cornerback Quinyon Mitchell. Brian Flores needs an absolute stud at cornerback. That is something the Vikings have very rarely had. The Vikings have been stockpiling everything but defensive backs in free agency. Might Mitchell be their fallback position at pick number eleven?
You could do an inverse of this where you pick the top 32 players and the other person picks between two teams you’d like to see them play for. Love your work.
I thought you did great most of draft, but as a Chiefs fan, they aren’t taking a cb #1. Andy Reid is a BYU grad and the LT need is glaring. Several Chiefs podcasters have the Chiefs taking the BYU tackle in round 1. If they go WR it could be any of 5-7 guys. I could see them trading back a few spots for someone wanting Nix or Penix Jr. They could still get OT or WR they really like and add another pick.
I think not giving Chop to teh Packers because of his size may be a mistake. They are going to a 4-3 this upcoming season so size in your outside rushers may not be such an issue.
Cowboys pick won't be Bowers or Mitchell. TE room with Ferguson, Schoonmacher, Hendershot is in way better shape than other position groups. Tyron left after this was recorded ofc but we need a center, DTs, and linebackers. Also RB and another corner are higher priorities than TE and WR.
Seahawks DL can always improve, but after the FA money given to Dremont and Big Cat--plus the draft capital to acquire Williams--I would rather go IOL if there is no trade down in 1st round. Get that area fixed on day one so we can forget about it for the next five years. As Mina said, IOL has been a black hole forever and the D line is not close to the weakest room on the roster (we have no LGs on roster, plus LB and S rooms are paper thin with practice squad/special teamers as backups, plus all the starters are on one-year contracts). Murphy is a great prospect. In this scenario, Murphy would be a depth 3 tech on this roster. JPJ would be an immediate starter at either LG or C.
Always wish there would be a very clear distinction between picks they would do ,if they were GM, or who they think the teams will pick. Title says predictions but seems these are who they would pick.
Common man Dejean over Wiggins I can’t get behind that pick CB only CB no swift army knife player a 100% CB I think not selecting Wiggins is going to be a mistake
Daniels to Wash can run and escape DL pressure, Maye can run but that is a bad bad move for Wash - Maye will get killed either at Wash or NE - trade him to MN (know you're not doing trades)
KC traded Sneed because they're so stupidly deep at CB. They've currently got 3 starting CB's after trading Sneed. No way in hell they take a CB in round 1...
Bo Nix and Michael Penix are too rich at 12 so draft an edge who had the retire from the sport because of a neck injury? Sorry. I hate that pick and almost all of Denver will too, especially when Stidham plays QB all season. Denver is dangerously close to losing that precious sellout streak
this is a gem, please make more.
Thank you MIna, this was excellent-no screaming hot takes just honest opinions.

Now more than ever with Diggs gone. 😂
Yes now they definitely do. No way to post date this one

Drake Maye is way over-rated. Buyer beware for Washington and NE.
Why do you think he’s overrated? give me 3-5 reasons and we can discuss them
Decisions Decisions ... Like a kid in the candy shop !!
KC traded Sneed because they're so stupidly deep at CB. They've currently got 3 starting CB's after trading Sneed.
No way in hell they take a CB in round 1...
What are the thought on Watkins the TCU receiver in La for the Chargers……..?
Seahawks will trade back and grab some mid round pics
If Brock really falls that far I’d love it if the Chiefs traded up and ended up with a 3rd generational TE who Kelce could mentor
Cmon, the chiefs shouldn’t be allowed to draft for 5 years so the rest of the teams can catch up
MinaK you are so cute !! Chris Simms might get jealous ... Just Kidding !
Drake Maye is going to the Vikes.
Mina, you’re great but the Broncos are taking a QB, lol.
I don't know if Bowers is dropping past the Colts y'all. Their offense will be hella scary if they get him.
Packers need a lb. we are ok at o.line
Can Cowboys please trade up to take Alt
Saints signed Chase so they should be out on Verse….
audio is ear piercing on each graphic transition
Daniels is not a good choice for a team that plays ten games up in Massachusetts, NJ, and Buffalo…
How can you not mention offensive line as a need for the Ravens, they lost 3 starters from last year.
Man..... If you're not doing trades this close to the draft, the entire exercise is pointless and I'm not interested in it.
Harbaugh familiar with WR to pick here….Odunze….
offensive line is essential for sucess

Evan Brown lol
Chargers will trade down.
Yeah trade down with the Vikings is the most likely outcome, but Nabers would be the fun #5 pick.
Ur right about the make up
He likes pink
Bowers at 9….
The term War Room is so lame, it might as well be a bunch of dudes playing Risk
The sound you used for the photo transitions is painful.
Dumb.
Good stuff Mina!! GO HAWKS
DK has the best laugh in sports media
If Bowers drops that far. I hope the Pats use #34 to trade up and trade him. Assuming they went QB at 3.
If we can't trade up ild rather have worthy even though Brock is nice
Giants picking a receiver in the top 6 in a deep wr class is such a giants move 🥴 dumb ass franchise
Mina such a cutie
If a team wins back to back Super Bowls they should lose their first round pick.
