Driving travel channel, featuring car driving in different parts of the world. Today we drive in La Barra de Maldonado, which is in the jurisdiction of San Carlos, but popularly conceived as Punta del Este, Uruguay located in the Department of Maldonado.
We drive over the Maldonado stream on a very particular bridge, shaped as waves. Then we go on to La Barra town, which is full of restaurants, art galleries, shops, ice cream and coffee shops. It is a very popular destination for the younger crowd. This is a very special year as the border has been closed because of obvious reasons. Most people is from Uruguay then, which is not usual by this time of the year when the crowd is mainly from Argentina and Brazil. La Barra has beautiful beaches and you will find a lot of surfers and surf schools!
This city and its beaches are famous in South America. This is one of the best places you can find in Latin America for a summer vacation!

LLENO LA BARRA NO SE DE QUE SE QUEJAN LOS NEGOCIOS, ES LOGICO ALGO PUED HABER BAJADO PERO SE VE MUCHA GENTE
La verdad es que no, está vacío. Nunca es posible transitar por la barra y este año en pleno enero la atraviesas de lado a lado sin necesidad de detenerte! Y por otro lado quienes estamos somos todos uruguayos prácticamente y claramente consumimos mucho menos! Hay alguno negocios que en algunos horarios tienen gente sí, y de repente pueden salvar la temporada, pero nada en comparación con años anteriores. Incluso con malos años anteriores!

muy bueno el video pero si puedes te filmas otro mas temprano con sol y mas movimiento de gente , en este ya es medio tarde y sale como un dia nublado triste

En esta época el sol y el movimiento de gente en general no van de la mano, ya que cuando hay mucho sol y calor, la gente está en las playas y no la encuentras por las calles! La gente se ve por la calle más al atardecer o los días que están más nublados. De todas formas, esta temporada es muy especial, ya que al tener las fronteras cerradas no hay turistas del exterior que son siempre la mayoría de quienes visitan este lugar en esta fecha!
