    Chakra (Hangul: 샤크라) was a K-pop idol girl group under Cream Records that debuted in 1999 with four members: Eani, Hwang Bo, Jung Ryeo-won, and Lee Eun. They debuted on December 31, 1999 with their music video for the song "Han (한)", before releasing their debut album Come A Come on January 28, 2000. Following the release of their first album, the group won Best New Artist at several major Korean music awards. After Eani left the group in 2001, the group introduced new member Bona in 2002. Chakra ultimately released three more albums and disbanded in 2006.
    Members:
    Hwang Bo (born as Hwangbo Hye-jeong), (Leader, Lead Vocal, Rapper) (황보; 皇甫), born August 16, 1980; member from 1999 to 2006. While working in a pasta restaurant, she was discovered by Lee Sang-min of Roo'Ra. Before her debut, she was an apprentice to Lee Sang-min. She debuted in 1999 as a rapper in a supergroup BROS, before joining Chakra in 1999. After Chakra disbanded in 2006, she released the solo album Lady In Black in 2007. She's part of "Compassion", a charity group, since 2007. She actively helps people seeking refuge in Seoul, and directs money to the Revival Project. She has acted in Korean dramas including Between Miss and Ma'am (2004) and Could Love Become Money (2012). She was also a cast member on the variety shows We Got Married (2008) and Infinite Girls (2008-2013). She actively participates in community activities. On February 5, 2011, she entered the restaurant business with her trusted friend and colleague, Shim Tae Yoon. She's currently the co-owner of the branch, Shimsontang, in the Mapo district, situated in the northwest of Seoul, Korea. In 2014, she launched BO! GO!, an online fashion clothing store, a coffee shop and pub.
    Jung Ryeo-won (Visual, Sub-vocal, Dancer) (정려원), born December 21, 1980; member from 1999 to 2004. She emigrated to Brisbane, Australia in 1992 with her family. She had adapted to the Australian way of life. After attending MacGregor State High School, she graduated from Griffith University with a major in international business. While she was an exchange student at Korea University from Griffith University in 1999, she was discovered on the streets of Apgujeong by Lee Sang-min, thereby changing her life and career path. She began her career as an idol in the girl group Chakra, following their disbandment of the group, she transitioned to an actress where she rose to fame in the hit television series My Name Is Kim Sam-soon (2005). She is also known for her roles in Two Faces of My Girlfriend (2007), Castaway on the Moon (2009), History of a Salaryman (2012) and Wok of Love (2018).
    Bona (born as Choi Hyun-jung), (Lead Vocal) (보나), born June 11, 1982; member from 2002 to 2006. A new member who joined in 2001 to replace Eani. She released a ballad single in 2012 and 2013, and after a long hiatus, she returned as a trot singer in March 2018. She's said to have been active in China and other places. She appeared in the 2023 Recent Olympics, and is said to be married and have children.
    Lee Eun (born as Lee Kyung Eun), (Rapper, Sub-vocal) (이은), born September 30, 1982; member from 1999 to 2006. She was the youngest member of the group. After Chakra's disbandment, she made a comeback in January 2006 by starring in the drama 'Wolf', which starred Eric, Han Ji-min, and Uhm Tae-woong, airing about 3 episodes. She has been on the Olive Show. She hasn't been active on the entertainment industry since getting married. She had three daughters. It's said that Jang Su-won of SECHSKIES helped her, and her husband is golfer Kwon Yong, the son of Kwon Oh-young, the chairman of Island Resort Group. After getting married, she appeared on SBS's parenting reality show 'Oh! My Baby' for the first time in a while. She currently works on the marketing department of Island Resort, property of her father-in-law. She divorced in September 2017.
    Former member:
    Eani (born as Im Sunhong), (Leader, Visual, Rapper, Sub-vocal) (이니), born May 18, 1979; member from 1999 to 2001. She competed in Miss Korea 1997 as Miss Seoul. She left the group and retired from the entertainment industry in 2001, to focus on her studies. She moved to the U.S. and married a Korean-American businessman in 2008, and currently lives in the U.S.
