Reminiscing…hard to imagine a better time in my life watching the team I love. Lincecum, Cain, young Bum, Pablo, Posey, etc. End of an era when Posey retired last year. I hope MadBum comes back for his last year and join Belt and Crawford for one more. So much nostalgia :)
I watched the whole game then 14 years ago and now remember how locked in he was. He pitched a gem. If he hadn't this could have been an entirely different series. As it was the 3-0 win put the Giants up 2-1. They won the next night when Uribe hit a SF and Huff slid in with the winning run.
Vintage Cain was a joy to watch.
I was at Game 1 of NLDS and this game and believe me.. Cain was just as much a crowd favorite as Tim Lincecum.

Idk about all that, but his bat helped carry the offense (or lack thereof) in the NLCS for sure.
...and how Posey was such a non-factor on offense.
