Thanks so much! I really appreciate you watching. I try to make my videos upbeat and encourage folks to get stitching. Or knitting. Or whatever!

Hi Sally, I so enjoyed meeting you at the 141 Pep Rally too! I'm looking forward to next year's Pep Rally, and will be reserving my hotel reservation, in faith, tomorrow! LOL. Girl, you have made so much progress on your terrarium stitch! Way to go! I know you will finish it very soon. 🪡🧵

Can't wait! I had so much fun. If I recall correctly, I think last year I couldn’t book my hotel until closer to January because of MSU events. I stayed at Holiday Inn and it was nice. I would stay there again next year.

Audrey!!! 🤣She cracks me up!! I'm so glad you had a wonderful time at your retreat, Sally! What sweet pieces you finished there too. Love those vintage pyrex project bags you received. So kind and they're so perfect for you!! Look forward to seeing your needle book tutorial!! xx

Audrey and I are fighting over my cozy corner chair but she’s just so darn cute and I can’t say no to her. She also likes to get in between me and my sewing machine. Such a stinker! Hopefully I’ll be able to distract her with catnip so I can film that tutorial.

What a fun video for today Sally! The retreat certainly looked like fun; so looking forward to the 141 Shop to open. Perhaps she’ll have a Michigan stitch open to meet you too!

I hope so too! It would be fun to drive down for the day, have a nice lunch, stitch and hang out, then be back home by dinner. I’m going to try to make that happen, if possible. If you get the chance to visit her shop, you should definitely check it out. So many cool things to inspire you!

Hi! Thanks so much for watching and commenting. I definitely got bit by the knitting bug again this year and was eyeing a scarf project because I looooove starting things before finishing other things. Have you ever been to a fiber show or cross stitch retreat?

@@SallyStitchesAnd Yes! I’ve been to Stitch North twice and am going again in May 2025. Also going to a small no frills retreat in Phoenix in February 2025.

@@michaeljones4380 oh wow! I’d love to go to Stitch North but I saw that next year’s is the same time as my daughter’s 16th birthday, so that feels like a Bad Mom thing to do. We used to go to the other side of Toronto for houseboating vacations when I was a kid and it’s such a beautiful place. When you get to go next year, buy all the Roxy floss!

Hi Sally, loved your video today. The retreat looked awesome. Priscilla and Chelsea have beautiful patterns. Your vintage items are fantastic. I didn't know Hazel Atlas made cottage cheese jars, I have a few of their jam jars. Looking forward to your tutorial on the needlebooks.

Oh thank you! I can’t decide which of their patterns to stitch next. They’re all so cute!

Hi, It's me again. I just want to let you know that I did not press my pre stitch ornaments, and when I finished it at the retreat, it too, was very tight to the edge of the board. I ended up using 3 or 4 layers of batting, just to make it work. That was the Christmas cookies chart. I brought the other two home to finish because, like you, I need to make bigger circle boards to accommodate my stitch.

Great tip! I’m glad I wasn’t the only one. I think it must’ve been so difficult to kit this project up for all of us and it was nice to be able to try these products out. I’m definitely up for a finishing frenzy this week.

You should! I originally went to this retreat because it was so conveniently located but I’ve come to really admire Chantelle. She’s so lovely and I hope you get to check out her shop soon. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!

Hi Sally!! Thank you for the shout out! It was really great to meet you. I have the terrarium charts and would love to join in on the SAL! Did you say Oct 1st?

Hi again! Yes, we are planning on starting the SAL on 10/1. It’s about 2,800 stitches and you can buy the pdf pattern on Tiny Modernist’s website. Can’t wait to see what fabric you choose!
