- My dad wanted to check out Tunnel 5 just below Cliff a few Fridays ago, so after a trip to Trona yielded no results (with a dust storm having inexplicably settled in over Searles) we headed up to Tehachapi to check out the location. A grain train is shown getting a crew change at Bealville, followed by a quick chase down to Allard to get it going through the reverse curves, and then we head up to Cliff to get a parade of southbounds passing through Tunnel 5! This was a great, productive afternoon and I hope you enjoy watching the results!

I Remember Tehachapi When it was both Southern Pacific and the Santa Fe in the 1990s When I was a Kid Railfanning with my late Dad Steve Schmollinger And Tehachapi Will Always be My Favorite Railfan Location
Awesome Video
Railfan Junction 💯💯💯💯💯💯🤘🤘
Thank you so much!! Glad that you like watching them, Tehachapi is a favorite of mine too!!
Beautiful images, very good! Hugs!! 👍
Thank you so much!!
Love the arrangements of each scene! It's really cool to see such long trains~ Can't wait to see your new works!!
Thank you so much! If you're interested in more Tehachapi content I have an entire 22 hour series dedicated to it on a playlist on my channel!
Amazing rail movie! Good work, master! Great captures! MEGA LIKE 🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂😎😎👍👍
Greetings from Romania
Andrew
Thank you so much!!!
All our grain is being exported and we are warned of food shortages?
Greed and the dismantling of America.
Great video.
Oh that grain is actually heading for a feedlot in the San Joaquin Valley near Corcoran called Guernsey! AFAIK I don't think there's any grain that's exported from California ports, though I might be incorrect in that.
there isnt really a grain shortage lol most of it comes from Canada. Ukraines grain mainly goes to parts of Europe, Russia, China and Africa. Idk why there would be shortage here
Excellent video.
Thank you!!
New subscriber here; beautiful video!! I look forward to checking out your others (watching your Black Friday Trona right now too!) Fantastic work- thank you so much for sharing!
Hey thank you so much and welcome to the channel!!! Super glad you like it.
Great video as always. Your camera work and positioning is spot on. Thanks for sharing. 🚂
Thank you!!
Great!
Thanks!
Your videos honestly have some of the greatest quality I have ever seen in Railfan content! Please keep up the good work for as long as you can.
Thank you so much!
WOW! Very nicely done...awesome video! Is the screeching noise coming from the cars caused by brake application or is it just because the train is going around a curve? Thanks again!
Thank you!! It's because the train is going around a curve - sometimes there are greasers that apply oil to the tracks to reduce the wear on flanges but that wasn't the case on that curve!
@@RailfanJunction Thank You so much! Subscribed and can't wait for the next video!
Thank you!!
If you showed the loop, I guess I missed it.
If you want to see the loop the last Tehachapi video that I posted has about 30 minutes of action there! Tehachapi is a lot more than just the loop though.
@@RailfanJunction thanks, I'll check it out.
in June Union pacific Had Three Derailment You are not the Best Line and 1544 is destroyed
Crazy how many they had!
The engineers don't wave from the trains anymore, not like they did back in 1954.chris
They still do from the cab!
why aren’t those curves greased
Honestly not sure! Most curves on Tehachapi are so those ones not being greased is weird to me
Poor. Everything way too far away to barely see the train
You couldn't do any better
I'm not really sure what you're talking about - are you referring to the zoom shots overlooking the trains at Caliente?
New to the channel, but thanking for the excellent video shots.
Thank you!!
