Interesting and helpful books - great topic for a video! Back when I was heading up our Environmental Management Consulting and Training department, I got really into Instructional Design - not for academia, of course, but for professional training for businesses. My focus was on designing our courses to be interactive - to increase both engagement and learning. It was fascinating - and fun!
Carter G Woodson!! I just referenced him today because I know the school named after him, and nearly got it confused with today's Blaze interview author, Carter Wilson, hahaha.
These books were great! My position actually was not eliminated at the time that I quit last spring, but just a month ago they gave 12 months' notice to a whole bunch of faculty, which likely would have included me if I had stayed!
This was so cozy with the cat and plant. Very interesting reads.

Interactivity is so important!!

Understandable!!!
I definitely want to read Fugitive Pedagogy.
It was so fascinating! So much that I didn't know about institutions led by Black educators and for Black people in the 20th century.
I pegged at least one of these as being for you, Leslie!! :P

Clock me just realizing that Fugees came from Refugees this year 🥴
I'm so sorry your position was eliminated. But those books sound great!

@@bethannebruninga-socolar omg, that scenario happens to me before. So frustrating. I hope it's all working out.
@@bethannebruninga-socolar If you're not teaching, I hope you have a good position somewhere else. Every time I look at bees I think of you.
@@deborahwager5883 I do! I am now a consultant, still doing my science and bees thing. Thanks for your well wishes. ❤
