Hi Thomas and Family!!! I'm new to event decor... any tips on trying to get more exposure and business? I know the market is saturated here in Georgia.
Stunning as always. I have it in my contract that if guests arrive before my scheduled end time, they will be turned away and asked to sit in the car. I started this because I've had guest show up in the middle of a set up and they were just in the way! Tablecloths weren't even on yet. They came an hour early and couldn't sit in the car because they took the bus. I make sure the clients know to advise their guest to not be more than 5 minutes early. If an event starts at 4, I make sure that I am done before 3:30 so that i can get pics and clean up before 3:45 because i know folks will start rolling in around that time. If they are earlier than that...outside they stay.
Thank you and that’s actually a great idea. Since this video I make sure we have ample time to set up so we are out the way and even for baby showers I have mothers come in to “drop off” stuff just to check in. I used to be so bothered because I wanted it to be a surprise but now I just go with the flow. Do you use Docusign to have your customers sign their contracts?
They caught me off guard. It was the family so I didn’t feel comfortable telling them to wait. I did what I could and got out of the way. It was a few things I didn’t put out.
I am working on a vintage rocking horse that I converted to a carousel horse on my RUclips channel. The carousel horse theme is mermaid. It would have gone perfect with your decorations. Love what you do!
Love your work! Can you tell us where do you purchase your displays like the mermaid tails on the table and items to decorate the food table and cake table? Thanks for sharing!
Haven't seen the set as yet, I know it will be beautiful, on the 29th of Feb. I did a baby shower for my niece, I blew up the balloons Friday night, they did not look as good on sat. and they kept popping even some from Amazon, the dollar tree, dollar general and hobby lobby, where is the best place to buy balloons
It depends on the type of balloons you use! I’m not big on my balloon work but I will say before I purchase them I look at reviews and go based on that! These were blown up the night before the event and you see they held up great!
Hi! I love you and your wife’s work. May I ask where you order your theme backdrops from. I normally order from Amazon but it’s hard to find one with the pocket sleeve.
Hey I’ll have to get the info from my wife for the backdrops. The backdrops in this video were ordered already by the client, they ordered them from Etsy!
I think it is worth the money as long as you charge for your type of work as well as the location. I’m from NC and the cost of living is not very high but my main focus is to build inventory and I will see a much greater return. Thank you again I really appreciate you watching
😱 the ENTIRE setup was $800 or just the backdrop? The cost of living is much different. I am from Detroit, Michigan. Here the backdrop and drapery go for $300. Another $350-$400 for balloons and at least $600 in decor for 30 guests. In Atlanta, it is almost twice that. It is amazing to see how demographics plays a part on what is charged for event decor.
Beautiful and I agree I would rather the guests be 15min late than 30min early

The mermaid tails and trinkets for the tables came from Etsy as well. Thank you so much. This link Etsy.com should take you to what you need.

I hate when the guest arrives early that why I like setting up the Day Before 🙂🙂🙂..
Me too! I wish I could have locked the door lol
That is soooo annoying and irritating when guest show up early and then the children start playing with balloons and touching stuff
Tell me about it! I haven’t had this happen since then but it tears my nerves up.
@@EOEDesigns I’ve been watching your videos for the last 2 days 🤣🤣🤣beautiful work
