    Sasa, "I hope you can relate to this'...yes I can. CA is lovely, except for the cost of housing and petrol. The driving is also bonkers. The driving distances are also long, yaani doing an hour plus one way is so normal. I lived in DE & MD and driving for an hour plus takes you so 'far' cos you might be out of state, depending on the direction. In CA, driving 8 hours and you still have another 8hrs, and will still not be out of state. But those drives are very scenic. The topography & weather are so diverse. Moving/ visiting CA, feels like you're in a different country.

    I visited my son in Santa Fe New Mexico last month and I was surprised and shocked to see the Adobe Architecture and the many Spanish speaking people. Having lived in PA before going back to Kenya many years ago this was a surprise

    The language part was also a bit of a culture shock. Living in San Francisco, I'm used to diversity, but some places feel so foreign that the only reminder of the United States is the dollar sign. My kids are bilingual in Mandarin and Spanish, making it feel like a cosmopolitan African city where everyone speaks multiple languages

      @WuonOdidi  Месяц назад

      That is amazing!! How did they learn the two languages??

    I speak as a mum of adult girls who were born and bred in the UK and US.
    We are Nigerians!
    This is what they tell me about the dating pool.
    They say that many African boys for some reason are either self hating or are intimidated.
    They say that these boys somehow believe that dating or marrying a Caucasian female elevates their 'status' more than an African girl.
    Not that the girl is better, because most of them are not that educated and are often what they refer to as "trash", because apparently the ones from "better" backgrounds often prefer their Caucasian counterparts.
    They often will be stay at home, contribute nothing, but make the man or boy's feel better - his ego!.
    We have seen a lot of these happen, causing us to discuss this regularly with our son who is 23! Poor child! But you have to start early!.
    You will also notice that, our girls who end up marrying their boys are high achievers.
    I mean no disrespect, but I have seen Physicians, Pharmacists, Attorneys marry blue collar.
    I don't know if my daughters are right, but they would know better.
    Great Video!

    Am New Jersey it’s really expensive here. Am sorting myself but by grace of God, I would love to settle in California or Seattle Washington. But I always see big fires in California especially in summer time do you know anything about that? Thanks for the video👍
