It has to be a lack of practice. I think NA just doesn't punish blown flashes, mispositions, and other errors hard enough in the LCS so they never learn what errors to exploit and what errors to avoid. (edit: I was gonna say it was also nerves on stage but I really don't believe it. I was just trying to be nice)

Honestly What lost the game IMO was when canyon was diving Kaori, and instead of ulting the 3 low health casters and Duckdaw and Kellin he fucking tried to auto the Lee sun who had ward jump. If he ults, phase shift thru the handshake and flash the damage it was a double to a triple kill and it would’ve set the precedence of bot and drag control.

NA and EU need more stage practice, each team plays 18 games in each regular season, RNG alone played 43 games during summer, this is not counting either playoffs or regional qualifier games; in a perfect season eastern teams would need to play at least double the games that western teams play each season....
As a long time LCS viewer who has always held on to hope that my region could at least be decent at worlds, this worlds has broken me. Not sure if I'll watch week 2. Not even sure if I'll watch LOL next year. One thing I do know tho, I'm glad I didn't take time off work and spend hundreds of dollars to have my heart broken live and in person

I think EG actually has a good core. Just Kaori doesn't have enough experience and without trying to be mean but they should look for another support. Vulcan is just not good enough mechanically. Like in every game I can see what he's trying to do his hands just wont let him do it.
I strongly agree with this. While I really like Vulcan outside of game, he is really hit or miss as a player and is very limited on being able to only play engage supports.
I'm not even super mad about the way NA played in either of these games. Just 1 or 2 stupid mistakes killed them and it actually looked like we were competing.

So, do you want worse minor region teams to be there instead? What minor region team does better than NA against these worlds teams? Do you want more than 4 Korean and 4 Chinese teams to be there? Do you think the 5th place Chinese/Korean teams would all of a sudden be a match for the teams that smashed them all season? I get NA sucks compared to these Asian teams, but what do you want to be the solution? Have you even thought about your question once? Asian teams are just better than NA, get over it. NA is going to lose a lot to them, and I don't know who would be surprised if no NA team beat any Asian teams this year. If your argument is that NA should have to send 2 teams to play-ins instead of 1, I would support hat 100%. You could even say that all 3 need to go through play-ins...but they would all just get out. MAYBE DFM could beat 100T, but they wouldn't perform any better against these Asian teams here. The fact is, the top Asian teams....and EU right now honestly are just so far above the rest after about 20 minutes in the game. The 5th place teams from China/KR are not any better than NA though, and the 4th EU team lost to the 3rd NA seed. These are the top 16 teams in the world currently, just get over it that NA hasn't improved like EU has leaving a massive gap. More and more, the game seems won or lost in draft before skill/stage experience even comes into play. NA has been slowly trying to imitate Asian drafts. NA will never out draft an Asian team while trying to imitate them. Even if they were to erase the draft gap, they still have a pretty big skill/experience gap. Some of these NA players have never played at worlds before. Expecting NA to keep up with Asian teams is just going to disappoint you, they literally play 1/3 of the games the Asian teams do AND against crappier opponents, they have 1/20 the talent to choose from, they are incentivized through entertainment instead of skill, are paid well even though they suck, and they put 1/3 the effort. NA's purpose is to entertain NA, that's about it.

And i mean the LPL 5/6 seeds don't get stomped by 1-4 I'm pretty sure. Like V5 and LNG did pretty well into the top 4 teams. LPL has significant depth, top 7-8 teams are all super competitive

It’s just not draft diff sadly it’s everything diff. NA teams take these opportunities for huge plays and get the minimum. We’ll have a setup to wipe them and mismanage it and just get a kill, or just get the objective then still lose the fight. Other teams get the maximum return on their chances. Teams at worlds are good…you have to get the most out of the chances you get in game and we just haven’t capitalized. Doubt we can pull off the 0-18 but expect us to make it close 😆😭

It’s just not draft diff sadly it’s everything diff. NA teams take these opportunities for huge plays and get the minimum. We’ll have a setup to wipe them and mismanage it and just get a kill, or just get the objective then still lose the fight. Other teams get the maximum return on their chances.
Teams at worlds are good…you have to get the most out of the chances you get in game and we just haven’t capitalized.
Doubt we can pull off the 0-18 but expect us to make it close 😆😭
