Congratulations and praise the Lord your baby is home! I breastfed my son for 8 months and I didn’t pump at first. I fed my son from my nipple which caused my supply to come every time he was hungry. I just had to remember what breast I used last so I could switch it up. Amazingly, my body knew when it was time for his next feeding so the milk would produce automatically. Afterwards, my milk would not stop producing so don’t worry Sis, God got you, the baby and Hubbie! ❤

For breast feeding make sure you are drinking lots and lots of water, it makes a huge difference. Also, your nutrition is important -make sure you’re eating enough food and that it’s healthy. You’ll do great. I exclusively breast fed my son For 12 months. He will get all your antibodies and it’s the best gift for his health that you can give him and creates an amazing bond. Give yourself 2 weeks to get used to breastfeeding it gets a lot easier after 2 weeks. Don’t give up!
Labor & delivery nurse here, congratulations..as far as breast feeding. It’s definitely supply and demand. Staying well hydrated is key and the more you pump and nurse the more your body will produce. If someone else is giving him a bottle during a feeding, then you definitely need to be pumping. Stick with it, don’t get discouraged.

Producing milk was always a job for me. Drink lots of fluids, eat good balanced meals and the more he nursed the more milk your body produces. It takes time but your body will produce more. Make sure he latched on correctly. Put as much of the dark area in his mouth and never just the nipple.

Congratulations! You can drink mother’s milk tea, drink at least 64 oz of water a day. Try to let lil Que establish your milk supply with solely breastfeeding the first three weeks if you can. Pump in between your feedings/pumps. Eat a ton of high proteins: steak, smoothies with chick pea protein powder (dairy protein may give him gas) oatmeal with chia seeds and raisins, etc. make sure your pump has the correct flange size for your nipple, spectra S was the only pump that yielded more milk for me.
