    Taper the sides of the root stock when it dries it has a tendency to curl up and push the graft off

      @@drakeweddner yea I will do it on bigger grafts but not bothered with these smaller ones they don't really reach the edge.

      @@CurtsCactus i figured you knew what you were doing you have a million cacti , I just thought maybe you were brand new to grafting

      @@CurtsCactus in my opinion the absolute easiest way to graft them is as a slab using rubber bands

      Your jar method was pretty cool though I'll have to try that out

    Hey man, nice experiment. Thanks for sharing it! I wonder what happenes to the little bottom parts of seedlings that you cut scions from? Do they start pupping or dies off?

    • @CurtsCactus
      @CurtsCactus  4 месяца назад +2

      They survive, they pup and continue to grow.

    • @blackpuddingeater
      @blackpuddingeater 3 месяца назад +1

      @CurtsCactus Hey man, it's probably nonsense, but have you tried to graft 2 or 3 scions onto one rootstock?

    • @CurtsCactus
      @CurtsCactus  3 месяца назад +2

      @@blackpuddingeater no I have not and probably never will unless purely for an experiment haha can't see any benefit to it unless it's the one root stock and maybe 4 pups then graft 4 scions to 4 pups with 1 big root system.

    • @blackpuddingeater
      @blackpuddingeater 3 месяца назад +2

      @CurtsCactus makes sense, my thinking was, that one rootstock can provide more than enough energy for one scion. How cool would it be to grow 3 or 4 different Trichs on one rootstock.

      @CurtsCactus do experiment man :) you have plenty of resources.
      I'm only joking, it's just I thought I had.

    Yo whats up Curt, Much love. How long do you wait until you check to see if the graft has mended a union? How many days do you wait before you remove the grafting tape and check if it is secure.
    Thanks! -JC

      One week I usually take off the tape and I'm never really sure until it swells up so around 3 weeks to be sure.
