You all probably dont care but does anyone know a way to get back into an Instagram account? I stupidly lost the account password. I love any tricks you can give me!
@Devin Kobe Thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Not the first but this was the music video that launched them into the global scene. This was the video that suddenly got like 2M views and they started getting attention.
Akane (Drummer) is a monster .. she didn't get to do much in this song, but she is without a doubt the tastiest drummer on the planet (she's not the fastest, not the most technical, but she just has a way of putting out the perfect beat at the perfect time, every time.) Hell, they all are awesome ... Miku, the backup vocals and guitar didn't even play an instrument when she started the band, but her songwriting is top-notch, she's considered quite the poet in Japan (she writes not only deep lyrics but in a style that the Japanese themselves consider a very difficult poetic style to write and sing.) Siaki, the lead singer has an amazing voice, it's one that doesn't seem to stick out right away, but then after you hear her a few times you realize how unique he vocals really are, and besides, she's one of the few that are able to sing the style that Miku writes. MISA (Bass,) Kanami (lead guitar), and Akane (drums) are all university educated multi-instrumentalists and can play the shyte out of their instruments. I've already talked about Akane's drum playing, and MISA is on par in that regard, while she and Akane are one of the best rhythm sections you are ever likely to hear, but when they are called on to do solos, you're not going to be disappointed in the least. Kanami, the lead guitarist is something else, she is a riff/fill genius, she also writes and arranges all/most of the music (Miku usually writes the lyrics and goes to Kanami to write the music and do the arrangements ... this has changed a bit lately as Kaname wanted to challenge all the girls to be better so she has started to demand that they too start writing and arranging some of the music ... and that has turned out to be nothing less than another amazingly brilliant move by her and the band) One of the biggest complaints about Kanami's guitar playing is that her solos are too short, but if you pay attention to her playing throughout a song, she is pretty well doing 'solo level' playing all throughout the song, but in a way that always fits in perfectly and never overpowers the other instruments or vocals! You'll find that there are no band-Maid stinker songs, every single one of them has something new and interesting to offer ... they arrange their songs in a 'layered' style, every verse, chorus, and bridge changing beats/fills/riffs/ etc so you're not going to ever be able to say the 2nd/3rd/4th verse was just a 'repeat' of the 1st verse, they always throw something new in to keep the listener from being complacent. And that's just a bit of the information about their music ... they also have several other surprises to learn about if you become a fan ... they are one of those great bands that are not just famous as a band, nor are they a band that has 1 or 2 high profile personalities and the rest are more or less in the background, no, this band each and every member is a star and recognized as such by the fans ... you can't really be a Band-Made fan without also being a fan of each individual girl (it's like the Beatles if George and Ringo were given the prominence of John & Paul) ... you know what? I can't really think of another band that has the same level of band vs band member equality in recognition by their fans ... maybe some 'boy band'? Not sure, but I know I have had some favorite bands where I knew the names of all the members, but none of them was there the case that I didn't recognize one or two of the members as being the recognized leader/spokesperson/main talent and the rest of the band being more-or-less replaceable .. Band-Maid is not like that, you can't get rid of any of them, not without a huge fight from the fans. Then there's their onstage, and offstage personalities, their special surprises for their fans, their alter-ego band, etc ... so much to enjoy about this band!!
After only seven short years, the Maids have generated so much content, songs and have interesting backstories, one could write a book.. or a screenplay. Great breakdown, David!
The funny bit is when you realize that Miku Kobato, the rhythm guitarist and 2nd vocal, couldn't actually play guitar at all in the clip, and then watch the live clip of "Play" from February 14th, 2020 :D
Band Maid 👐 Army incoming 😃 Guys you have seen nothing yet.😀 This was their first music video. React to more of them and see why this Band is the best thing happend to hard rock in the last 30 years.
Lol your expressions at hearing the first note - BAND MAID was founded by singer/rhythm guitarist Miku - in 2013 she was a 21-year-old working in one of Japan's Maid Cafe's when she envisioned a band that combined the cute, submissive look of maids with a hard rock style of music - they call it the "Gap" - the disconnect you experience between what you're seeing and what you're hearing, and like so many of us before you, they got you good :) So welcome to the Pigeon hole and one of Japan's (unfortunately) best kept secrets - this was their first big hit from 2014 and they have been churning out the most incredible sounds non-stop since then - to the point that many old western rockers (myself included) consider them the best new rock group to emerge in decades... their live stuff is phenomenal - but perhaps you should savour the wait by trying a couple more MV's - Dice, Blooming, Don't Let Me Down, or Real Existence.. and then dive into their mind-blowing live versions of Domination, Freedom, Puzzle, Play, Onset.... the list goes on - they literally have dozens of top-tier tracks to choose from... oh, and they're all in their early 20's in this MV so you're safe to call them cute :)
They have come a long way since this early video. Here are some links: Play ruclips.net/video/3LxX_t4vg7U/видео.html Freedom ruclips.net/video/FHpuEqMAcDg/видео.html Blooming ruclips.net/video/uUt_JBMocKM/видео.html Choose Me ruclips.net/video/MZIJ2vFxu9Y/видео.html Onset(Instrumental) ruclips.net/video/mVrN-j_Uc0U/видео.html Domination ruclips.net/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/видео.html Rinne(Reincarnation) ruclips.net/video/CQ9dbEVgZcA/видео.html Dice ruclips.net/video/ZpAYnVJX9CY/видео.html
Kanami's guitar here is an Addictone, which are apparently rarely seen outside of Japan; she later switched to Paul Reed Smith, which she now endorses. And you'll probably love Miku's later metal-top and pearl-front Zemaitis guitars (that's a Rickenbacker rather than a Gretsch in the vid, btw). As others pointed out, this is their first video, which is actually a good choice because they just get better...and better...and better. You like that bass solo? You might want to strap in for what Misa has in store for you down the road (she also switches to five-string).
The rhythm guitarist now plays a Zemitis (sp?) from Japan and the bass player plays a huge 5 strike black bass guitar. It looks like an axe. The lead guitarist plays a PRS.
"Thrill" is their first video of 2014. They weren't popular after the band was formed and they were thinking of disbanding. This video was played 2 million times in two weeks overseas, and the number of contacts from overseas increased suddenly. They didn't know what was happening, but they were saved from dissolution. It was because the site "Jrock Radio", which introduced Japanese J-rock overseas, was posted without them knowing. Now they say that 70% of their fans are abroad. Now they have written and arranged all the songs and arranged many killer songs. Please listen to "Dice," "Rinne," "Puzzle," "Play," "Moratorium," "Domination," "Onset," "YOLO," "Secret My Lips."...etc,
@@dekaranjer There are so many many bands and idols in Japan that if one of them blows up and becomes a hit overseas it seems they catch a following in Japan as well.
Their popularity overseas is ahead, and the popularity in Japan is increasing, but it is limited. I never see them on TV. It is not a band that everyone knows in Japan. In the domestic weekly ranking, the single "Glory" was 12th, the album "Conqueror" was 9th, and the video "WORLD DOMINATION TOUR [Evolution] at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA" was 8th. It's a band that wants to grow in popularity in Japan as well. They finally arrived at the Budokan. Their songs are great, but they have to be a big hit in Japan.
Band-Maid has about 90 songs and I don't know what one you guys should do next so here's a shortlist. Everything on this list is on their RUclips channel. Play (live) Domination (live) Freedom (live) Wonderland (live) Real Existence (live) Onset (live) Dice (mv) Rinne (mv) Blooming (mv)
Mettal Maffia - Stephen is right Rinne the live version was a tv thing and one hour before going on they were told to cut a little over a minute of the song out. Stick with Rinne (mv) if going to do it and it's their heaviest song they have.
This is their first breakout song back then in 2013, they're not even in their prime. Watch Domination Live February 14 2020, Onset Live April 13 2018, and Blooming. See them become monsters at their instruments.
Well, that was an "AddicTone" guitar. They're custom made (in Japan and USA) and this model has like a "left guitar headstock". 1,000? No, they cost around 4,000-5,000 U$D! So yep... not cheap at all! In a couple of albums, Kanami Tono (the guitarrist and main composer) brought gold from those guitars! She's been a PRS endorser for about 3-4 years now. But i love those old "AddicTone's days". The other guitar is not a Gretsch, is a Rickenbacker. And the backing-vocals singer is just "holding" the guitar (she formed the band and writes the lyrics, but she didn't play any instrument before the band), she started playing after. The other 3 are musical prodigies.
These ladies are in their late 20s as of today sept 2020. Bamd Maid was founded in 2013. And this is a 2014 video and of course by this video they are in their early 20s. Wait till you experience their evolution. Welcome to fanhood.
They're actually around 19-21 years old in this video. Asian girls are known for looking super young for most of their lives, and then they hit a point where they're suddenly old. lol.
If you want to check their gear out, watch a more recent video... Check out PLAY live from their official channel, because YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHIN' YET!!
That was a lot of fun! Akane (drums) is probably one of the best drummers on the planet right now. Looking forward to you seeing her in her current state, where they've "let her loose." I've often said she's a metal drummer who doesn't realize she's in a J-rock band, although J-rock hardly begins to cover their range. All amazing, top tier musicians. Thanks for giving them a look.
LOL! BAND-MAID. Just don't call them BAND-AID. And that's not a Gretch. That's a Rickenbacker 620. Now kiss it goodbye, because she's now sponsored by Zemaitis, and that's all she plays.
Band Maid, will not let you down. They have an excellent back catalogue and there are good recent live songs available on RUclips. Many others have left recommendations for you. There are many excellent Japanese Bands for you to discover :-)
Akane's like Ringo. She has great feel, but not a lot of solos. If you want to hear her solo check out 'Freedom' LIVE. That one does have an extended drum solo in it.
What are you talking about? Every song is her soloing through the whole thing! She is normally moving that beat all over the place. She never stops moving. Any particular section she will have 3 different beats. As for soloing by herself, OK, not so much of that. But man alive! is she a BUSY drummer!
@@ChrisPage68 Haruna is spectacularly fast and athletic. But Akane has, in my opinion, a far better sense of where to put the doubles. While she lacks the technical and athletic levels of many double pedal drummers, but she knows how to NOT overplay them, while at the same time being constantly busy AND perfectly and tightly supporting the rest of the band.
MISA MISA MISA! Nostalgia Nostalgia Nostalgia! 2014 Sai-chan still hasn't learned how to use her hands (holding on to the mike stand like it is a life preserver) MISA wearing shoes and using a 4 string Miku holding the Guitar like its a weapon (or neck ornament) not an instrument Mincho before she changed to PRS Guitars and of course A-chan still with the little hat
@@DavidMISAMISAMISACook OK you have me there the old songs that are still popular they still play I just meant that they write their own songs now where as before they weren't allowed to and there was that Slipknot song during what looked like band practice and an old song called HONEY that I absolutely love so thanks for shooting my argument to pieces I'll shut. Up now.
So you've been THRILLed. Now you need some "DOMINATION" live on B-M's YT channel. Why go with 1 solo when you can have a multi instrument solos breakdown. Absolute killer!!!
Enjoyed the reaction. New sub! No worries. They're all in their mid to late twenties. Lead guitarist, Kanami, is now endorsed by PRS. But, this being their debut video, she's playing an Addictone. I thought the same thing about a "cheap" guitar. But I looked them up and they're custom built in Japan. The model she's playing will set you back $3600! Rhythm guitarist, Miku, plays a Rickenbacker in this one, but later lands an endorsement with Zemaitis. These ladies are really more of a live band. I'd recommend the live clip below next. You'll see Akane, the drummer, gets her revenge! Band Maid - "Freedom" (live): ruclips.net/video/FHpuEqMAcDg/видео.html
This song is much more straight forward and simple than their newer songs (this song was written for them, they have written their own songs for their last three albums). Many of their songs are pretty unusual in that they have a standard verse, chorus format, but they throw in all these weird progressive elements that often only lasts for a few seconds. I guess you could say that instead of doing pretentious 15 minutes songs, like most progressive rock bands do they make progressive rock in a 3-4 minutes, supercatchy hard rock/punk-pop format. The result is something like as if AC/DC, The Go-Go's and Soundgarden got together and decided to make an Opeth album (recent Opeth that is, not old death metal Opeth (death metal Opeth is a million times better than rock Opeth by the way), Band-Maid mixes a lot of genres into their music but death metal is not one of them). Most people that are not musicians would probably not even notice the progressive elements they put in there since all of their songs are so catchy, so I think that musicians would actually appreciate the band's songwriting more than non-musicians.
@Charles Velten Some people (even musicians) have a hard time analyzing musical styles they don't like or are unfamiliar with. There is nothing strange about that. Most people that don't listen to extreme metal when they first listen to Anaal Nathrakh for example would probably just call it random noise. I watched the reaction you're talking about (the first one, I haven't watched the second one he did), and he didn't "diss it" at all. He simply said that this style wasn't something he liked. In fact he said that the musicianship was really good. I was surprised that he didn't pick up on any of the unusual things they did from a songwriting perspective. That is something that musicians usually notice right away, even if they don't like the style. I'm guessing that he didn't really listen that closely to what the were doing once he had decided that this style wasn't something that interested him. These obsessed Band-Maid fans seriously need to grow up and start acting like adults. Harrassing and insulting people just because they have a different taste in music is a completely ludicrous overreaction.
Welcome to Band Maid! ♥ MISA (bassist), Kanami (lead guitar) & Akane (drummer) are just incredible. Saiki (lead singer) & Miku (singer/guitarist/founder/lyricist) are no slouches either. I'd suggest the following songs: Dice, Bubble, Take Me Higher & Play
Surely by now someone pointed this out BUT just in case, you should see to react to Onset live, is an instrumental song they use to give the singer some minutes of break but is where in my opinion you can see the apex of their musical skill
MISA!!!! MISA!!!!! MISA!!!!!!! Their Badass Bass Assassin. An oldie from 2014 but a goodie. You need to react to their Live videos. Band-Maid is 10 times better now. The best Rock band out there today. Check out Play, Domination, Freedom, Onset, Choose Me and Real Existence live.
Miku's guitar is not a gretsch, it is in fact a Rickenbacher. At this point though she is just holding on to it, she doesn't know how to play yet. This is their first video, shot in 2014. To see how she has progressed, check out Play from the valentine's day concert in 2020.
kanami's guitar is an addictone. not top of the line but not cheap either. and the rythym guitarist has a rickenbacker. now the lead player kanami plays mosly prs c24 and rythym player miku has several zemaitis guitars - ring chess and aces and eights- thousands of bucks. and these girls are 26 - 29 years old. keep in mind this was their first video from 2014 so early 20's then. they kick many asses everywhere and are much better now even though this is a killer song. keep going with them. 'dice' is one of their harder songs you need to see.

@@GaryHolloway-810 I've got a funny feeling that the mettal maffia might be somewhat outnumbered by the Maid maffia so it's in there own interest really.
That´s long time ago, they have improved so much and you should watch them LIVE, because it´s the best live rockband in the world right now... Don´t believe it? Check it out, pick ANY LIVE song from their channel and you will see... Solos everywhere, masters at their instruments, writing their own songs and are so much fun + DAMN GOOD on stage. Play, Freedom, Onset (instrumental) or Domination LIVE is good to get an first live impression... Greetings from Germany and have fun with these ladies and the great community!
You haven't seen anything until you check out their live performances. Suggest viewing live videos of Real Existence, Domination, Play, Onset. MV's Rinne and Blooming. They will blow you away.
Y'all have a lot to learn about BAND-MAID. Check out their live performances from their YT page. ALL their members get solos. You'll have multiple solos per song a lot of the time. This was their first MV and kind of their make or break time. The song had success and now about 5 years later they are a force to be reckoned with in the rock world. Also the ladies are all late 20s. Early-mid 20s in this video. This song doesn't even scratch the surface of what they are capable of. I can't stress enough to check out their live performances... They are SO much better than their MVs. In my opinion they hold back a lot in their MVs compared to their live performances.
These beautiful and talented musicians just won an award this year. NEO AWARDS : 2020 - Band-Maid Wins Best Musical Act. As a musician of 56 plus years, I found Band-Maid back in 2014. Band-Maid is a savior for rock and roll. Kanami Tono/lead guitar writes and composes 95% of their music. Akane/drums and MISA/bass both went to a prestigious music school in Japan together. In my opinion Band-Maid is the best band on the planet today IHMO. They mix every genre of music in each and every one of their songs. Loved your reaction, keep up the great job. Check out Onset live for an incredible instrumental. 🤘🤘
Gonna get a ton of Live rec's, as you should since they're kickass, but think you should check out the BLOOMING official video next. It's one of their latest and really shows the distinction in how they've grown from this first video to now. Then go down the live rabbit hole, you're going to be there a while
It's as close to rapping as you can get I've heard it described as spitting bars (that might be a rap term) and she does it really well. And I guess when you look at everything else they do that's hardly a surprise.
Kanami was playing an Addictone guitar in those days. She plays a PRS now. Miku is now rocking a Zemaitis. Check out some of their more recent work. Watch "Play" (live) or "Onset" (live).
This was their very first music video, they've upgraded their instruments (for instance, MISA was using a 4-string bass here, but she plays a 5-string bass now) and their maid-outfits since then. I expect that it is okay to refer to the band-members as cute, as the Akihabara (in Tokyo) maid-cafe scene which inspired their outfits are all about cuteness (kawaii). To experience them playing a harder-rock, try their music video "Rinne", or their live-performances "Freedom (Feb. 14, 2020)" or "Domination (Feb. 14, 2020)". Band-Maid is especially fun for watching live performances: they tend to add a lot of extra instrumental virtuosity to their live-performances as compared to their studio performances
Welcome to the world of Band-Maid, this rabbit hole is DEEEP and will suck you in hard core! gotta hear them LIVE though!! recommend Rinne/Reincarnation, Play, Choose Me, Domination for a great time! the drummer Akane is really really good!!
The one thing good with all female bands is that the tend to give everyone a chance to really shine. What really hooked me on Band Maid was their very prominent bass. Even though it's more of a classic hard rock sound the heavy base gives the perception of being even heavier than it actually is giving them a rather wide target audience. It's quite brilliant.
Little do you know on what beast of a drummer Akane is. How many drummers can have the great Jimmy Page feel compelled to meet her specifically after their show. He would know greatness after playing with possibly the greatest rock drummer of all time John Bonham. Akane happens to be one of the GREATEST active rock drummers, but I dare say she is Top Ten ALL TIME GREATEST Rock drummers and I do not say that lightly. These maidens are not just Top Notch Musicians but great songwriters. Don't take my word on it see for yourself.
Welcome to the Band-Maid vortex. This was their first official video. If you venture further, you will see these girls grow into monster hard-rock musicians. After three albums they took over all the writing and production, and their latest stuff puts them at the top of the heap--Best rock band in the world today. Here are some links to recent live shows (they are best live): "Domination" ruclips.net/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/видео.html; "Freedom" ruclips.net/video/FHpuEqMAcDg/видео.html; "Play" ruclips.net/video/3LxX_t4vg7U/видео.html; and here is an instrumental which will blow your heads off: ruclips.net/video/mVrN-j_Uc0U/видео.html Have fun!

MISA! MISA! MISA! This was their first vid and the song was written for them...but it's a Great introduction to the Band! However, they are SOOOO MUCH BETTER Today!! Its been a Fantastic ride to watch how this Band has matured over the years! Put your Kitsune UP!! Po!
Welcome aboard, Dirty D & Big Cage. You are embarking on (along with many others) an awesome hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women. Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid:
BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of all rockers. But you’ll also hear heavy influences of Punk, Metal and Pop, with nice touches of Blues, Funk and Grunge. Sometimes they use multiple genres within the same song. Their Composition, Execution, Consistency (nearly 100 songs with new album, “Conqueror”), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor, position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destine for mega-stardom. Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound, stage appearance, and band synergy is off the rails spectacular. Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 50 favorites! "Thrill" (2014) is a great place to start: ruclips.net/video/Uds7g3M-4lQ/видео.html Their later songs drive even more - Rin’ne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Glory, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on. But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE and Smile... or more punky like Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series! And many are represented with 30 well produced music videos. ruclips.net/user/BANDMAID Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE concerts such as Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA on February 14th (“Domination” ruclips.net/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/видео.html), ZEPP 2018, Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 and some of the better 2019 tour Fan vids. Here’s three of what it’s like to see Band-Maid LIVE at super intimate venues. If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support them by purchasing some concert tickets, CD, DVD/BD & Merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements, melodies and High Priestess mediator between the Gods (Band Members) and the masters and princesses (Fans). At 26 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Leader) as Miku calls her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away the persona. Her charisma, performance and voice focus the experience. Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 28 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kurrupo! No, no, no… KURRUPO!! Kanami Tono (Ka-Naw-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 28 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more! Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 29 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumRilla” is the Party! MISA (Me-Sa) "Assassin" - Bass, 27 years old. A sullen, barefoot, dark spirit driving her 5-string bottom-end to hell and back, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. The Mysterious One literally kills it… every note.. uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA!
Great work Tom you do a great job providing useful information that makes it a lot easier for reactors to commit to the band. I'm not sure that their personalities are super interesting though I think super nutty would be more accurate after all the band is led by a pigeon who practices magic!. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. I love them but I'm glad I'm not their father. I'd be a nervous wreck.
@@stephenchigwidden7504 I used a diplomatic word as to not scare anyone away. I mean, I love Kanami to death... but she's an alien from the eight dimension. 👻
There's so much good fresh music coming out of Japan and all over Asia, & it's been going on for quite awhile now. Band Maid has a crazy mix of rock, pop & metal all meshed together to perfection. I've been heavy on Japan & ( Indonesia too) rock/metal for 6yrs or so.. Since I heard Story of Hope for the first time, that started my trip down the rabbit hole of the Asian Metalcore scene. Story of Hope, Bridear, Dead Corporation, etc,. Too many to list.. Cool fact: Indonesia's President is a self- proclaimed metal head, often seen wearing Metallica, Napalm Death & Lamb of God etc., t-shirts.. The number of metal & black metal bands popping up there is crazy, especially when U consider it's a conservative muslim country for the most part..I had no idea... I say Frickin Awesome.. VOB (Voice of Baceprot) is probably the most visible metal bands there, but I like Annabelle much more.. They are straight forward torn jeans, black t-shirts, metal butt-kickers.. I'm happy to know Metal is alive and well, at least in the East..
I will probably seconding many opinions here, no doubt, but I would suggest you should do a Live of Band Maid for the next song. They sound even better live. Domination (Live), Play (Live), Onset (live), Freedom (live) as live suggestions, for MV's, my prime recommendation. As far as ages, they are currently 26-29 (I believe), for the video thrill, Saiki, the lead singer, was 19-20 years old in Thrill. Miku, the rhythm guitarist and backing vocals, had been the lead singer before realizing her voice did not suit their musical style well enough so they recruited Saiki. She, Miku, learned guitar "on the fly" from the lead guitarist. Have fun guys!
Yeah, this was so long ago now when they were just amazing. Now they are staggeringly amazing! They always wear maid outfits but they have evolved over the years and been more personalized. You might as well get an awesome dose of these girls incredible live energy, stage presence and insane chops... It would not be a surprise to me if that song did well here in the US. Back around 1960 there was a song by Kyu Sakimoto titled "Sukiyaki". It was a ballad in Japanese, but it was played on most of the radio stations, and it went to # One on a lot of charts. It played here on KXOK AM in St. Louis which was a contemporary rock station. Back then, as everyone went out to buy it in their local record stores, that drove it to # one. So between sales and station requests it fell off rather quickly. The same thing happened with "My Sharona" by the Knack. It broke a record for going up to # one in one week. Then almost as quickly fell off. Everyone went out and bought it. There was also an Austrian singer named Lolita that sang in German "Seaman (sailor)". that was about 1959. It went to # one also. Back in those days, the foreign language songs were eventually rerecorded in English, which was the case with Sukiyaki. But they didn't do as well. Figure that one out.
You are correct about which guitar the sing was recorded on! Miku didn’t know how to play guitar at the time this MV was recorded! Finally, Kanami, the lead guitarist, taught and is still her teacher taught Miku how to play and today she’s a very good guitarist
old video... misa still played a tuned down 4 string bass, miku on an expensive rickenbacker, also used by against me! back in the days. miku formed this band when she was working in a maid-cafe , very popular in japan. tho her voice was too cute so they auditioned saiki, who has this more mature voice. also kanami usually plays prs now. thanks for reacting to my fav band!

GREAT REACTION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! , But you need to watch them LIVE , do "Domination " LIVE Feb. 14th 2020 and " Dice " MV , These Girls will blow ur mind and Welcome to the World of Band Maid !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Considering your appreciation for dor different groups I think that you'll like an Australian band called Alien Weaponry. You should check out their song "Kai Tangata"
Check out their alter ego's Band-Maiko 'Secret Maiko Lips' stunning visual...maiko is apprentice geisha. Was April Fool joke...telling fans they'd changed their name and uploaded reworked heavy song with some traditional instruments and more ancient vocal dialect. Cool AF.
As others have said, this is their first music video, and IMO their weakest video to react to. Literally EVERY other song you'll find is better then this (again, my opinion, don't hate me other BM fans!). One thing I LOVE about these women is the fact that, as of their last 3 albums, they write ALL their music and lyrics themselves. They don't have a producer telling them what to write/sing, or people behind the scenes that do that for them. It's all them. Kanami (the lead guitarist) usually does the music composition, and Miku (rhythm guitarist) usually writes the lyrics with the help of Saiki (singer). I strongly recommend anything LIVE by them. They are amazing live performers. Here are some recommendations, all of which can be found on their official youtube channel. They are all amazing so just pick any, you can't go wrong: Live: BAND-MAID / Choose me (Feb. 14th, 2020) BAND-MAID / DOMINATION (Feb. 14th, 2020) BAND-MAID / FREEDOM (Feb. 14th, 2020) BAND-MAID / Play (Feb. 14th, 2020) BAND MAID / REAL EXISTENCE (April 13th, 2018) BAND-MAID / onset (Apr. 13th, 2018) (this one is an instrumental) Music Videos: BAND-MAID / Dice BAND-MAID / 輪廻 ( RINNE ) BAND-MAID / Blooming

Guys, they're even better live! I think this is their first music video..
CANT WAIT TO DIVE INTO EVERYTHING BAND MAID!
Perhaps we do a live video next
DIRTY D
I don’t know if it was the first one but it was definitely one of the earlier ones.
Great reply appreciate the time and effort you put into that, true fan !
What he said.
Akane is so creative and musical as a drummer. I am a 68 year old jazz fusion prog rock drummer and she constantly amazes me
After only seven short years, the Maids have generated so much content, songs and have interesting backstories, one could write a book.. or a screenplay. Great breakdown, David!
@@TomClark-Futoura a film, documentary, cartoon, I'll take anything.
The funny bit is when you realize that Miku Kobato, the rhythm guitarist and 2nd vocal, couldn't actually play guitar at all in the clip, and then watch the live clip of "Play" from February 14th, 2020 :D
I think it's fair to say that as a guitarist there's been a definite "improvement" 😂😂💯
Band Maid 👐 Army incoming 😃
Guys you have seen nothing yet.😀
This was their first music video.
John Arksey then they are hella cute!!! And thanks for the info no I have more to go off of on the next ones!

Oooooo YOU HAD US AT 5 STRING!
@@MettalMaffiaOfficial MISA is just about the best Rock bassist in Japan.
The red Addictone ST cost somewhere between 3,000 and 4,000 US Dollars.

@@MettalMaffiaOfficial There are some unknown but killer musical instruments coming from down here in Asia. 🤘
I love seeing reactors the first time they watch Band Maid.
The rhythm guitarist now plays a Zemitis (sp?) from Japan and the bass player plays a huge 5 strike black bass guitar. It looks like an axe.
The lead guitarist plays a PRS.
PRS! LOVE EM!
you have to watch them live, all of their music is fantastic; but live they are unbelievable
Please listen to "Dice," "Rinne," "Puzzle," "Play," "Moratorium," "Domination," "Onset," "YOLO," "Secret My Lips."...etc,
AWESOME INFO! THANK YOU! WILL DO!
It is also popular in Japan. Weird way of saying
Play (live)
Domination (live)
Freedom (live)
Wonderland (live)
Real Existence (live)

@@MettalMaffiaOfficial there's 2 studio versions of Rinne one is a short one for a tv show it's basically just a demonstration don't do that one
INTERESTING!
WOW THATS TOTALLY INSANE! SOOOO MUCH TIME MONEY AND TALENT!
This is their first music video from back in the day. They have come along way since then. Check out their new live stuff from this year.
Check out PLAY live from their official channel, because YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHIN' YET!!
...and if you want to see 🥁 Akane ( The Drummer ) go off, watch FREEDOM live!!
Again, wow another eye opener. That was pretty damn good I will admit. Keep the videos coming
Another broken new gate too.
Best rocking maids!!
I heard a lot going on in the drums that made me think her potential has yet to be unlocked
-dirty d
LOL! BAND-MAID. Just don't call them BAND-AID. And that's not a Gretch. That's a Rickenbacker 620. Now kiss it goodbye, because she's now sponsored by Zemaitis, and that's all she plays.
GOOD LOOK! WE STAND CORRECTED! THANK YOU!
A lot of musicians think she's the best double bass drummer on the planet.
@@michaelbailey6980 Unless you've seen Haruna from Lovebites... 😉

Sai-chan still hasn't learned how to use her hands (holding on to the mike stand like it is a life preserver)
MISA wearing shoes and using a 4 string
Miku holding the Guitar like its a weapon (or neck ornament) not an instrument

THANK YOU! And WOW ADDICTONE IS NEW TO US! GREAT INFO!
@@MettalMaffiaOfficial you have much to learn grasshopper.
LOL YES WE DO!
Kanami's guitar is an Addictone. It is a small custom boutique guitar maker in Tokyo. They are in the 2+ thousand dollar price range.
WOW!
Surely by now someone pointed this out BUT just in case, you should see to react to Onset live, is an instrumental song they use to give the singer some minutes of break but is where in my opinion you can see the apex of their musical skill
Here for the Pigeon Queen 🕊️🌸 subbed 🍻
MISA!!!! MISA!!!!!
Will do!
kanami's guitar is an addictone. not top of the line but not cheap either. and the rythym guitarist has a rickenbacker. now the lead player kanami plays mosly prs c24 and rythym player miku has several zemaitis guitars - ring chess and aces and eights- thousands of bucks. and these girls are 26 - 29 years old. keep in mind this was their first video from 2014 so early 20's then. they kick many asses everywhere and are much better now even though this is a killer song. keep going with them. 'dice' is one of their harder songs you need to see.
OKAY, THANK YOU!
Check them out live way better would suggest Freedom or Domination from this year.
The Lead guitarist. Kanami, plays only PRS guitars now. I believe her guitar in this MV is an Addictone.

THATS AMAZING WE WILL BE CHECKING OUT THE LIVE VIDEOS SOON!
Band Maid - Onset. You will thank me later
Oh...you discovered Band Maid? You guys are in for a ride. Enjoy 🤘😄
DOMINATION live Feb 14th 2020 to hear them at full power!
WILL DO!
Bando-Maid ROCKS! Also please do check out Broken by the Scream - Ki.Ra.I (Live), want to see a metalhead reaction on this one /,,/
Band Maid's first MV. Over the past seven years they have progressed and grown into the premiere rock band on the planet-no bull shit!! Check out anything recent and prepare to have your mind blown! 🎶🎸🥁🎸🎶🔥🙂
MISA! MISA! MISA!
This was their first vid and the song was written for them...but it's a Great introduction to the Band! However, they are SOOOO MUCH BETTER Today!! Its been a Fantastic ride to watch how this Band has matured over the years!
Put your Kitsune UP!! Po!
This is the next recommendation.

Can’t wait till a skillet reaction 🔥🔥
And many are represented with 30 well produced music videos. ruclips.net/user/BANDMAID
Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE concerts such as Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA on February 14th (“Domination” ruclips.net/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/видео.html), ZEPP 2018, Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 and some of the better 2019 tour Fan vids. Here’s three of what it’s like to see Band-Maid LIVE at super intimate venues. The first taken by Vladimir Chupin in Hamburg: ruclips.net/video/__1th7ctgMo/видео.html, the second taken by JT Dayo in LA: ruclips.net/video/4uIYBkAybCI/видео.html, and third, JOSER8845 in LA: ruclips.net/video/usWZvlGGDSs/видео.html. If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support them by purchasing some concert tickets, CD, DVD/BD & Merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo
Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. For fun, check out an awesome, little known "Mega Band-Maid Mix" by DJ Ray of some of their earlier stuff: facebook.com/djrayboston/videos/1004709499579009
Band-Maid members are: (Ages are best est.).
MISA! MISA!
WOW SO MUCH LEARNING TO DO LOL THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT
Great work Tom you do a great job providing useful information that makes it a lot easier for reactors to commit to the band.
Great reaction!🤘😎🤘🎸🎸👍
Oh yeah. Thanks
It’s a song that shakes the soul ! From 🇯🇵
I will probably seconding many opinions here, no doubt, but I would suggest you should do a Live of Band Maid for the next song.
When a comment is repeated it reinforces what we are all trying to say.
Their 'Domination Live' video is recommended. They're more than a studio/MV band...they are a force when it comes to live performance.
Nice!. Great reaction. Welcome to your next addiction. Best Rock Band in the world. Check them live next. You are gonna be amazed.
Yeah, this was so long ago now when they were just amazing. Now they are staggeringly amazing! They always wear maid outfits but they have evolved over the years and been more personalized. You might as well get an awesome dose of these girls incredible live energy, stage presence and insane chops... Domination Live from Shibuyo Feb. 14 2020 ruclips.net/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/видео.html And if your hair isn't already singed enough from that, check out Rinne (Reincarnation) ruclips.net/video/CQ9dbEVgZcA/видео.html or Blooming ruclips.net/video/uUt_JBMocKM/видео.html THEY HAVE SO MANY INCREDIBLE SONGS. They are not afraid to change it up. They are fearless
Hi from the uk check out how far band maid have come
Band maid play live world domination tour 2020
Band maid freedom live world domination tour 2020 ( Nice drum solo)
Band maid domination live world domination tour
Haven't the UK done well since they dropped the F from their name.
This is their first official music video back in 2014 that started it all.
Best rock and roll band in the world right now! Band Maid forever!!🤘
🤘🤘❤🤘🤘 MISA MISA MISA!!!!! 🤘🤘
Along for the ride!!!!!
You have been assimilated into the BAND-MAID Collective. Resistance Is Futile! 😎🤘
BAND-MAID is:
Miku Kobato (Koba; Kuruppo) - band founder, rhythm guitar, vocals, principal lyricist, "The Little Pigeon" 🕊️🎸
Kanami Tōno (Mincho; Kanamincho) - lead guitar, backing vocals, principal music composer, Miku's Sensei, "The Princess" 👸🎸
Akane Hirose (A-chan; Achi) - drums, backing vocals, band leader, "The Gorilla" 🍌🥁
Misa (MISA MISA MISA) - bass guitar, "The Barefoot Assassin" 🦶🗡️🎸
Saiki Atsumi (Sai-chan) - lead vocals, "The Queen" 👸🎤
THANK YOU!
I'm not even going to try to resist ! I'm hooked
Might as well add, like everyone else, to check out their live stuff. Even more amazing!
Space. It's big. 🚀. Thank you for your service ranger.
yes I do BandMaid AfterLife.
Started out cracking jokes then to female "admiration" ... ended up stunned and impressed.
Check out domination. The live version from them recorded in 2020 in February. You won’t be disappointed.
I fucking love you D!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Band-Maid最高だろ!じゃんじゃんリアクション動画投稿して、世界征服に協力してね〜!
WILL DO!
Check out Alone, it is the first song they were allowed to put on and album written, composed and arranged by them. The rest is history!
Cool AF.
The drummer is 29. The guitarist are 28. The bassist and singer are 26.
Great JapaneseHR/HM All-female band BAND-MAID (HR) LOVEBITES(HM) ALDIOUS(HM) NEMOPHILA(HR/HM)
If u want to see Akane the drummer shine a lil more watch freedom live from there RUclips page
They are all amazing so just pick any, you can't go wrong:
