The shot tracer picking up the driver 😂 in all seriousness, he had some great opportunities for birdie. After only 3 months, that’s a great place to be. I’d love to see a video of you two playing a scramble. Maybe that would give him some more confidence.
Slicing driver was my biggest problem this past year as well - best thing I did was fix my grip. I thought I had a strong grip until a friend pointed out I needed to roll my left hand even further over. Helped it so much immediately.
I also had the same slice problem. Turned out I sliced it because I didn’t straighten my wrists early and extreme enough on the way down. So maybe try that, or change your grip to heaving the back of your left Hand (if ur a righthander) facing the sky more. Hope that helps
A tip I have about the driver slice is kind of feeling like you’re gonna elbow the side of your hip on the way down and to make sure that you rotate all the way through.
Try to straighten your wrists and push more with your right arm to maybe fix your slice. Because I had the same problem before but when I did that it stopped slicing.
"Don't fix the swing, aim the tendency" Greatest advice I ever got. You were trying to get him to hit it straighter down the middle, instead of aiming down the left and hitting his tendency dead solid perfect down tbe middle.
Some advice I would give is as soon as your on the top of your back swing, pull down like your pulling on a rope and pull towards your hips and turn through to get the club square.
to fix the slice you must practice releasing your wrists at your waist and you have to remember to close the club. You can also make the club path go right for a draw but that will only work if the club is closed.
Respect for the new wedges for the big dawg but the sm4 is the most underrated vokey koepka won his first 2 majors with a lob and stricker still uses the sand and lob wedge
Its a little difficult to assess a swing from not seeing the different angles but with driver usually your slicing because of leaving the face open and your cutting across it bringing it in left or your getting to far forward and hitting down on it rather than up. Alot of that can be helped with a better setup. On the irons its usually that club is coming to much outside in and cutting across face may be open as well. Work on doing some half shots just getting your setup and contact more consistent and then build up to a fuller swing. Also it seems like you overswing a bit with that sometimes focus on the butt end of the club grip can help you to have a feel for your wrist set and avoid false rotation etc. Other than that focus on avoiding swaying off the ball and things should improve.
I started playing in 2002 but I actually kept and marked the balls for my first par, first birdie, second birdie, and first eagle. I really wish I could experience the feeling of my first par all over again :) But ngl I don't even remember anything about my first birdie
Drives are exciting but you need to pretend like it doesn't matter where the ball goes and only think in terms of the game being measured on the perfect swing. That will end your early extension on drives and you will straighten out over time. Enjoy the game.
This guy needs game improvement equipment period, specifically irons and wedges, definitely with some offset. When he improves he can upgrade. As his COACH you should see this.
You obviously need a swing coach to help. If I had to guess you're probably just leaving the club face open. So strengthen your grip or what helped me is imagining your right hand being a little closed with your palm at the point of impact. Almost like you're shaking someone's hand.
Tried the QR code for the free sample. I’ve been looking into switching off sodas. But they’re not doing free samples. I even spoke to a rep in chat. She said that bottle is only free when you spend $99 😣😣😣
I’m not tryna hate but hole 17 wasn’t a birdie putt if it was a par 4 he drove fairway, scuffed his chip, chipped onto green, that’s putting for birdie so he got bogie not par. Again no hate but it just wasn’t a birdie putt that he missed
This was hard to watch, imagine being paired with this guy? It's unbearable l, I know it makes for a good video and clicks but this type of behavior from golfers makes it less enjoyable

Birdies are no joke 😨despite our arguments, thanks for the help Josh you are a great caddie. We can do this.
You definitely seem like a really hard teach lol, homie knows way more than you just listen 😂
Just listen bro😵💫
I've been playing about a year and a half and only have 4 birdies on my record, so keep playing man. Improving is so satisfying
HANGGGGGANNNNGGG
If you have only been playing 3 months, I’m beyond impressed. Those birdies will come, then you will be hunting Eagles!
Mike experienced all the mental stages of golf in 18 holes. Respect, brother.
I'd encourage you that it gets better, but its sort of all the same 😂
😂

We all struggled to make the first birdie. And the 2nd, 3rd...
You'll always remember that first one! Keep swinging!
Appreciate you brother!

I had a slice for 20+ years. Finally figured out it was my grip and now 90%+ of my drives are straight as an arrow.
Love seeing Mike back on the channel! Here for the birdie journey!
With slices- turn the club face over just a bit. Not enough to hook it. Make sure youre holding the club solid and not letting it slip.
Such a fun course! Love playing Frisco Lakes and Sherrill Park. Love your videos, and this series has been awesome!
Appreciate you brother! Love me some frisco lakes
I am so emotionally invested in these videos. We need more!

I just got my first birdie two days ago over drove the green par four and putted it close and tapped it in

Bro I was waiting for this one I’ve watched the par one like 15 times
Let’s go!

probably going over the top a ton so increase chest/hip rotation. Nice vid!

I didn’t watch the whole video so i don’t know if his slice got fixed but one way to fix it i by putting your left leg forward then aiming kinda left
to fix the slice you must practice releasing your wrists at your waist and you have to remember to close the club. You can also make the club path go right for a draw but that will only work if the club is closed.
Please keep Mike in the videos. He is hilarious and I can relate to his golf emotions lol
For my slices, it helped that I griped differently. So I just turned my left wrist a Bit to the right but the arm stays straight
This banter between you two is hilarious
LETS GO NEW VID
I will be disappointed if I don’t see a birdie
Need more Mike on the channel. Really great video laughing the whole time
I’m 13 years old and i have only gotten 1 birdie on a par 3 Pitch N Putt hole
He throws more clubs than “the volcano” Steve Pate. 😂😂 Fun vid. 👍
@@unclejim2330 appreciate you brother!
0:22 the most relatable thing ever😂😂😂

Greatest josh Mayer video of all time js dropped
Gotta do the drill where you stand with your back facing your target and you have to swing around your body

Getting my hips around fixed my slice

19:54 Josh throw of the Century
That and 24:00 . Josh had the line exactly, if Mike hit that spot it goes in.
Love the vid collab
That AG1 sponsor lead-in got me lol

Good call!
Biggest question is how did he do at the air guitar championship?
Made it to the finals. Lost to a little group named airosmith
Step in 8 inches and keep the same swing with your iron.😊
Slice is mainly happening with an open club face
Pls yes!
Bring back MIKE!!!
U don’t fix the slice! Aim further left 😂
Swing harder

If you hit slices then try hitting the toe of your club face
Homies a little zesty
break 90 upcoming?
I guess I’m a freak of nature because I have 5 birdies but my best on 18 is 96😭
NAW GO GET THAN MANS VOKEY
Love the video concept. Did not enjoy Mike LOL childish.
Why
10 he didn’t hit it where you told him..lol
He's got a serious golf game for only playing for 3 months.
I think he needed some better balls like ProVs. That's his problem.
What are ProV’s?
ripppp AG1 scam
Day 2 of asking Josh for a free set of Tacoma irons 🙏
Hang gang punter?
The one and only
Fix your grip because it fixed my slice
You're swinging from out to in. Get some lessons, but that's my guess on the cause of your slice
Jorkin it rn
Mike hit the line. Bad read

poor sportmansship
That read at 20mins was complete trash
Air guitar championship? Really?
