hello, sir! i would like to ask for your advice about our exercise in statistics. i want to see if there is a connection between teacher personality and his students score. I used the Big five inventory personality scale to identify the teacher's personality. I realized that this scale is divided into 5 dimensions, so how ill i correlate the personality scale score to the test scores? Should I get the mean in each dimension and correlate it to the test scores? Or should i use other statistical analysis? I'm sorry if I'm asking too many questions,,, thank you in advance.

I like the video a lot, but I wish you could focus more time on how to report at the end when the final table is ready. How can I "translate" into "qualitative" information all you have given me; how do I write all that down exactly?

is Pearsons R interpreted the same way no matter what model it is seen in connection with? Or maybe I should simply ask, can I use what I have learned in this video to analyse the results in a linear regression? Thanks in advance! :)

For simple regression (one IV), it is interpreted the same way. For multiple regression, it gets a bit more complicated. I talk about how to interpret it in a multiple regression series I recently uploaded, which you can view here: ruclips.net/video/thO_Wfdc6O4/видео.html

Congratulations for your videos, they really helped me but I have a question :) If I want to find the pearson correlation between dimensions of a questionaire how could I do it? I am asking this because a dimension might includes ten questions which I want to compare in order to find a pearson r with another dimension which includes another 10 questions for example. Thank you in advance and keep up the nice work ;)

You would need to calculate total scores for each scale (add each person's responses across all items together) and then correlate the two totals. I have a video on creating total scores which will show you how to create the two new variables here: ruclips.net/video/UROF87XZqKg/видео.html

Hi, thank your for your great video. I dont know if you could help me here, I am working on my thesis dissertation and I have chose the topic of The effect of organizational culture on knowledge sharing. I am having some trouble creating a methodology to asses the research questions I have already set. I need to find a way to correlate the elements of culture to knowledge sharing and measure how these affect knowledge sharing. So I was thinking of using the OCAI to asses the organizational culture, and then take the six elements of culture that are deduced from the OCAI and and use pearsons correlation to see if they are related.
In other words, I want to see if "Trust", which is one element of Organizational Culture has a relation with knowledge sharing, then take the next variable, "Leadership" and also see if it is related to knowledge Sharing.
Do you think that pearsons method can actually help me do this?

It's difficult to say for certain without more information, but it sounds like it is what you are looking for. The correlation measures whether there is a relationship between two variables, and since it sounds like that is what you are looking for, it should fit the bill.

I want to do the same thing between dimensions but I don't know how to make the 10 questions 1 factor to compare with another factor. In my case I want to find the correlation between factors of scl-90.
