@@Niggleblade1986 agreed, as a Baptist choir member, we do traditional hymns and every now and then we do it in style and my does it bang better than the traditional styles (not that there's anything wrong with them)

Maria Delarosa Dipta Dharmesti Anne Hathaway is beautiful but it's really her talent that attracts me to her. There's a lot of beautiful actresses and one can argue a better case for them on looks alone I imagine. However, Anne's talent far exceeds theirs in my eyes.
The major conceptual flaw in having a large choir perform this number is that they are bound to overpower the soloist. Mary Robert's solo in the original was what made it such a special piece. So when you water down her solo, the whole performance suffers. Otherwise, this was really well done! :)
Heat & Chills She did indeed have a mic - she walked up to it on the stand. It probably came across better in person than it did on camera. I can cut across an entire orchestra when I want to but you’d never guess if you watched a video of it.

I thought the Altos could have been louder and the soloist needed a mike though her voice was beautiful. Love that they really got into it.
Agree, I love hearing strong altos in a choir. So many women sing soprano that us altos are lonely and have to sing a lot louder ;)

Camera person does not know the song. Should have positioned the camera for a close-up of the soprano when she goes way up.
I think you will find the camera person was probably there to film a friend or family member...not document the entirety of the choir.
