I just saw a 6 wght. Bank robber at a local sporting goods store. I was surprised because they discontinued those a few years ago. I thought about grabbing it but it cost the same as the Echo Streamer X about $470. I’m not sure if it was lost in a warehouse or what. I’m still on the fence between the two. I’m in Montana and want something exclusively for big articulated streamers.

I've always hated the purple ed Hardy paint they use for the mojo line.
Give us $200 for a rod with a tramp stamp!

That’s literally what they use on their conventional rods too so why would they change it

The old, original Imperial rods were outstanding! The current generation Imperial, not so much.

You need to learn from your mistakes, very few companies do. First off, get rid of that awful cork grip you use on the shorter fly rods (less than 8 ft, way too skinny with no contour, feels like you are clutching a pencil). Also, change supplier you use for the tip top guides. Imperial USA has PVD coated snake guides, but tip top is not, black coating comes off after first use. These I-USA rods in the 4-piece models have really bad hinging at junction between last two sections, therefore 2 piece models have much better action. Also, improve swing weight, the I-USA rods were heavier than the previous models. On the Mojo Trout models, increase size of stripper guides, they are too small. Company should never have discontinued the Legend Elite series. And don’t get rid of the cork grip design on the 8-9 ft models, cork grips shorter than 7” long have not fared well for other companies, the one you used on previous Imperial, Avid and LE series was among the best in the industry. Don’t forget blanks, the ones you made for these rods were best value out there among custom rod builders. And, provide a warranty that is actually worth something - your current warranty provides no advantage to customers (must pay outright for a new rod section anyways). There is probably more, but please listen to your customers if you want to compete in the fly world.

Be sure to purchase a roll of duct tape to tape your reel to the rod as St Croix rods reel fasteners are cheap material and very poorly designed. Nothing like having your reel come off the rod when casting, me mending and fighting the fish.
    These make great kindling.

My mojo bass holds my redington reel just fine, you gotta finagle to get it in there but once it does it’s super secure
