Bertila, a slow speed HotM, does 290% to all, plus her Lady Loki-like lifting of cleansable attack and defense buffs, and she's generally regarded as a pretty hard hitter. i don't know why you're trashing Sobek who's dealing that damage with a higher attack stat at average speed. i can understand frustration about the lack of creativity and power creep, but in terms of your roster, you just got a blue power hitter in 9 tiles.
also, i like Jarif's art! it's comical without being grotesquely absurd and also within the theme of the portal!
Am I not entitled to my own opinion? For me, Sobek is lazy and bland. For another, he might be the star of their roster. I prefer to level unique and interesting heroes

@@MrSpock This hero might be the best or 2nd best from this group. His family bonus is pretty good. His passive skill seems to compliment his hit all enemies skill. I am not sure how far away his damage is from Killhare but, you won’t have to worry about heroes like Sif or Ferant counter attacking.

I understand not wanting to get into passives spock, but man...those passives are what makes a lot of those 5*s and others you kinda rushed thru without even just saying "check their passives because on some of these, it can drastically improve the heros worth tp you.." or something like that.
Not trying to tell you how to do things as you obviously know your stuff and are one of the best. But that's kinda why it surprised me that you didn't mention some of them or a blanket statement that let's us know they can be a lot more valuable than you're making it seem. Kinda like the family statement. Cause you can be either encouraging or discouraging a player to get someone by glossing over it.🤷

I figured it was easy enough for people to read them. Truthfully, I knew it would be a long video so I was trying to move quick, but yes the passives are strong when they go off 👍🏻
@@MrSpock I totally understand. Kinda felt like a Di@# writing the comment. But I knew I wanted people to make sure they took a good look at them. Because especially with semi-newbies like myself, it took some explaining why a "meh" card was so much better without the passives even reading them I was a tad confused.
I still struggle with the E&P language. But I'm getting used to it. Bear with me and my jerk comments. I wasn't trying to make look bad at all cause you're the best but I just thought I'd mention it.
Another "please like Sobek because I pulled him post". I agree Sobek is kinda meh on the surface, but if his passive hits then he has to be up near the top if not the top for total damage. 360% damage to all 5 and then 250 DOT.
Sobek will be great against ferant, syf, and any future counter attack + he bypasses crazy defence buffs
There is literally nothing meh about Sobek. At all. He does 360% damage 60% of the time at average speed with 826 attack. Whoever tells you thats meh, is just wrong.
It’s important to mention that 290% damage and another hit of 70% damage is not that same as dealing 360% damage. Same as when Jabberwock hits one enemy twice he doesn’t do 1200+ damage like a 600% hit should do because the hits are processed separately through the damage calculation.
With attack stats factored in, Sobek hits similarly to Killhare, which for me is a bit underwhelming on offense. Chance for DOT is nice though in addition to the little bit of extra from the 70%

Sobek is basically a blue Killhare that bypasses buffs without the uncleansable debuff to the team. Higher base attack so the 10% damage difference on the special doesn't matter + the passive

I got Aqeela, Waqas and Ptolemy when I did the pulls. Been going back and running through the Hard levels just to get more tokens for free pulls.
Good pulls in my opinion. These heroes do seem like they will bring some new setups in the future. I did see a limit broken Papyros in another You Tube video just before I found yours. Congrats. I'd like to see you find uses for them.
Yeah I was bummed by getting Papyros aka Papa Roast as my 5* but watching vids of him in action, he's a pretty good tank. Family bonus are great plus you have enough room to load three of a different fam. So you might like the latest version of Crocodile rock. I agree the art is funny...oooh a cyclops sorta mummy who looks like hes wearing a CVS receipt as fast fashion. Lol
Ptolemy was the Roman installed Pharaoh when Epypt was under Roman rule. His descendants also were then Pharaohs. Rumor has it he smuggled potatos under his tunic because they dont grow in sand.

Hey Mr Spock! I actually pulled 3 Khonshus and all i wanted was actually Sobek haha. I think Sobek would be good with Morel based on the damage he can dish out [with his passive as well as the wizard class]. He's definitely a 'boring' hero but I'm surprised you were very dismissive about him :) Anyway, just thought I could change your mind on the fact that Sobek is strong! Haha

I was never a fan of Killhare. I’d prefer to kill one or two heroes than weaken all 5. I know lots of people like her though
First, thank you for making videos. 2, if I'm not mistaken, Ptolemy was the longest reigning Pharaoh in Egyptian history which would make sense with the artwork of Ptolemy for the game. The real Ptolemy I believe was in his 70s(could be a bit older) when he died. As with some of the other replies, congratulations on the pulls.

Sobek is actually the best one .. massive damage dealer between his passives and wizard class Jinx move. Not sure where you think he is bad but that is incorrect

I actually got that green 5* after sixty pulls, I’m happy though and like you I got all the the 3&4 heroes as well.

Congrats on Sobek. I got 4 of the 5 5* heroes. I'm missing Sobek. I feel lucky to get 3 of them on the coin pulls and got the bird ninja with a 10 pull from gems. Hopefully I can find enough materials to level them all. I'm in no rush for Sobek though; I'm still busy working on Finley and his costume.

This is why any time I pull a featured 5-star I just call off the rest of the portal. I just always end up disappointed if I keep going. A couple months ago I pulled Heimdall on my first token pull and called it an event.
I will probably summon from this portal when the 3 token summons for $4.50 offer is made, there are 3 and 4 stars I want otherwise I'd probably pass on this one until some of the better 5-stars are featured.

Nice vid spock I ended up doing my pulls as soon as I got off of work and ended up with ahhotep,junaid,ptomely,aqeela,faiez,rekhetere,waqas,and jarif….No five stars heroes unfortunately 😩😩😩😩

I was actually looking forward to Sobek since I need a good blue 5 that hits all (I should have picked Skadi over Killhare) but luckily got Khonshu and El Naddaha. Most excited for Azmia and Ahhotep though!
I got Sobek together with Viv and hotm on my second 10 pull. I'm also looking forward to a hit-all blue 5* to pair with Frigg in my defence lineup. The passives and family bonus are great 😃 His specials reminds me of Cobalt's. Also like the green 5* a lot but I'm done this month
El Nadaha is indeed the star of this portal atm but Sobek isn't that bad in my opinion. He will hit very hard and combined with his passives ... I think you underrated him :)

He’s fine it’s just a boring design. I like unique heroes not just the same old hero with a slight percentage boost. Maybe someday I’ll let him have some scopes lol

Honestly out of the featured heros I would choose the croc. The purple guy at 50% mana isn't fun anymore and the mummy is jus a minion hero
I think the mummy and bird need a buff. The croc is fine I just find him a boring reissue of a played out mechanic

If she goes off (very likely since she is fast), Wilbur will actually do damage to the enemies!

I felt the same when I summoned on the challenge event and from all the awesome heroes and costumes I got Marie Therese. I am really really short on good heroes, means I am.still depending on S1 and 4 stars, but MT is not something I want to use...
Yeah, she could’ve been really cool but they never worked hard enough to get her right :-/
She is the only Purple overheal. And with her costume bonus and a 4% mana node you can get her to 10 tiles with a 17 mana troop
@@brauckstar thabks for your answer. in a world where some heros dropping out 290% dmg on fast pace to all there is no room for a slow periodic over healer other than rush modes (maybe). No wonder why you are not seeing her anywhere. Not now and not before. At the same time coming from Quintus xp. You need a lvl 29mana + costume bonus + node bonus to get her to medium. But nowadays medium is still slow and non existing. I think Spcok made a video that you rarely get exactly 10 tiles. So if I make 4 matches it rarely matters if it 10 11 or 12. Obviusly there are dragon bombs and diamonds but they are not what you can calculate with. Excellent examle is my Lady of the Lake costume. She is a great hero, I have to use her becouse she is my only decent green. But in normal wars they are killing her left right and center with no problem. Sl
@@MrSpock yes, they could have made her so interesting with if you are not killing the zombie in 3 turns it has a 30-40% chance to come alive again in normal form. If thwy make it slow than make it dangerous. With this skillset she is maximum annoying a bit.

I don’t see Finley taking over the meta so it’s probably safe. He needs buffs to be excellent but on a team with buffs I think he’s better than Sobek since his d down will make other heroes stronger

Happened to me so many times where I get exactly what I do NOT want....Ironic! However, this time around, I got what I wanted which was the purple 5 star, but I think he may get nerfed. I did get the green one as well as the blue croc! I will likely level both the purple and green! cheers!
Congrats Paul! Purple was nerfed pre-release so I think he’ll actually get a damage buff if anything 👍🏻
