Cool you got to hang with Eric in Houston, that's where Joe F. is living these days. Still cool to see a buttermilk, even though it was waaaay up there. I used to live in DC back in the day, dad worked in the Pentagon.
Thank you for posting this video. Everyday at 5pm, Monday me and my family gather around to watch what exciting content you have for us. Even the family dog watches beside us.
Great videos always...love that you capture so many images of nature. Can't image what it is like to visit so many different places around the globe. Be well.
Hotel Manager: "Welcome to Washington DC, Mr. Boyer. What do you intend to do first? Visit the White House or the Smithsonian or the National Mall or Arlington National Cemetery?" Lou B.: "Nope, none of that. I'm going looking for snakes!"
Glad you found something. And you’re right about those water snakes and the STINK. That second one looked like a gravid female! Maybe next time there will be more to find.
M Toxins Tee is a collector now .. I have mine and I only wear it while herping. I was fortunate enough to stop in there once in Oshkosh and see Nate doing some extractions.
Yes sadly they have closed. From Facebook a year ago .. To all, it is with a heavy heart that we announce MToxins Venom Lab and the Jack Facente serpentarium will be ceasing operations of our storefront, with our last day open to the public on Sunday, May 28th. It has been an incredible number of years educating the public and getting to touch the community in the manner we have, and we are forever grateful to the Oshkosh and surrounding communities for their support. We are so proud to have made so many wonderful memories with you all and are eternally grateful. Hours of operation will remain the same with our last admission taking place at 3pm on the 28th
@@loub747 I lived in Elko MN but came back to England 10 years ago, While i was there i went Mineapolis to see Alice Cooper live it was the best Cooper gig ive been to out of the 11 times ive seen him, I was right up the front right in front of him, Itook some awesome pics
Those habitats with greenery and water may be very beautiful and relaxing, but they are terrible for herping, unless you are of the fewer but natural ideology. You need to walk carefully and observe, and still many animals remain camouflaged. In case of animals being spotted, they still have all the advantages to their side and can bolt quickly. Those places remind me of some areas in northern Greece and most of Central Europe. Nothing beats a warm dusty junkyard, where you can flip stuff and catch them unprepared. Nice water snakes and birds though.
Hey Lou, I live in the Bay Area and I’ve recently gotten more into snake hunting and was wondering if you had any advice on finding them. Like, what are the best ways to find a snake out on the crawl? Also, what is the best time to flip boards and at what temperature? I heard summer makes it worse for board flipping because of the heat. Thank you!
@@loub747 Thank you for answering. Dulles is pretty far from DC. I'd call it Snakes in Virginia or Snakes in DC's Suburbs instead of in Washington, DC. Maybe you can visit Rock Creek Park sometime and talk about the snakes here.
Here come the political jokes...
Oh yeah, I'm guessing I'll get a few.... Lou B

That’s so awesome to hear. Thanks for sharing that with me. I hope I don’t disappoint! Lou B
More likely to find the snakes at the Whitehouse and the capital building.
Yeah, I’m saving that for the next video! Lou B
You are me in an alternate timeline where I did well in school and pursued my childhood dreams lol

That’s so true. Lou B
4:34 the bird you see right after the cardinal is funny enough another cardinal it was just a female wich have different coloration than males
Yeah, that’s what I thought. Thanks for the positive ID. Don’t know my birds all that well! Lou B
@ 4:30 - You were correct. Female Northern Cardinal. They're almost always seen together in pairs.
I didn’t realize that. Thanks for the info. I’ll know next time. Lou B
Glad you found something. And you’re right about those water snakes and the STINK. That second one looked like a gravid female! Maybe next time there will be more to find.
That deer sensed your kindness to animals, Lou, and knew you were not a threat.
It's crazy, it walked like two feet in front of me. No fear.
@@loub747 Good people give off “vibes,” probably a combination of scent and sub-conscious calmness, which puts animals at ease.
🙂
Wow that deer was super close! Wonderful looking habitat, nice finds! Great stuff Lou!
It walked about 2 feet in front of me. So crazy.
You need to come visit Oklahoma and give me a shout!
Look forward to the day

lets go gecko hunting one of these days... lol
Sounds like fun!
Walking around in flip flops in an area known for copperheads is pretty foolish.
Lol. You should see soon of my other videos.
Some good areas that I would have never thought of! Good times my man!!!
Thanks Todd. Trying to get out everywhere I can! Hope alls well my friend, Lou B
Sending love from New Zealand 🇳🇿 ❤️
NZ, hoping to get that way in 2024. Will see!! Thanks, Lou B
Awesome to see that racer way up the tree. Sweet video
Thanks Ryan. Hoping to get to WW next weekend!
The snakes in DC walk on TWO legs … 😑 #FJB #FKH
I know right!!
Think I would ware boots hunting snakes if I were you!
Yeah, I rarely do. Strange huh. Lou B
Copperhead was sure nice but the water snake is a fine specimen! Keep on the trail for those beauties Lou!
Thanks! More videos in the works... Lou B
Love the flight videos! Thanks Lou!
Thanks. Another flight video on the way... Lou B

Appreciate you and your spirit.

Female cardinal & there's no buttermilk's in DC, just Black's.
Thanks for the ID. The Buttermilk was in Houston where I met up with Eric of Lost in the Woods.
@loub747 I stand corrected!! Didn't realize you had jumped locations!!
Teşekkürler selamlar efendim 🎁
Thanks for watching.
Oh, and you were right, that was a cardinal pair. Females are much less colorful.
Hello Lou thanks for the video
Also, red cardinals are male and the dull cardinals are females is what I was told ❤
That’s amazing
Thanks! Lou B
Virginia is holding as well …
LOL
Are you in DC proper. That doesn't look like the Arboretum, so it would have to be Rock Creek park, unless you are actually in Virginia or Maryland.
More out toward the airport. IAD.
What were you flying at the end??
Gulfstream G650
@@loub747 dam that’s nice
Excellent Find!
Thanks!
Great wildlife!
Yeah, it was a fun day out there! Lou B
If there is one place I wouldn't expect you to have any trouble finding snakes, it's Washington, D.C.
I know right
Lou come to North Georgia let’s go get some Timbers-
And that was a male and female cardinal bright red is the boy
I can't wait. Someday it'll happen!!! Lou B
Good stuff, Lou 🙂
Is that a G-5?
Thanks! Close, G650 Lou B

I know right
Best mix. Snakes and Planes. Greetings from Germany 😊
Thanks!!! Love Germany.
2:22 That buttermilk racer sure looks like a mamba!
I know right! Lou B
Nice how you got the cool critters, birds and bugs into the video. Even some fish. That's my kind of herping adventure.
Cool cool ! Heading to Indiana soon?
Thanks! Lou B
Where in DC. Were you? Rock Creek Park? Not Virginia or Maryland, right?
