I was excited I finally got to hunt these after watching MHP2NDG videos for what felt like ages. Then they finally gave us MHFU and it was glorious. I hunted like 30 of them and explored every corner of the Great Forest.
When I first went into high rank and fought Hypno in this area I felt like "Wow, there's more to this game than I thought" I know now that this game has a lot of content, but that was the "oh shit, there's more??" moment lol I had barely played MHF1 so the old regions (old swamp, old forest) were new to me, and I found out they were from the first game a bit later.
2:20 the jumping kicks One thing I realized when he does that attack is if he jumps 3 times or more he'll make an quick animation, but enough to deal some damage I'm not sure if you already covered that info in the example hunt, but if not, there you go. Btw, looking foward to an akantor guide

Hypnocatrice's first kick is with one leg, every kick after that is with both legs, there is no difference between those and the last kick except that he lands slower for his last kick. Hypno can do up to 4 kicks, but I've never noticed he does seem to taunt after doing 3 or 4 kicks, that's good to know, thanks.

With it i was able to(barely) beat it on my first try, even made a Rathalos longsword(Wyvern Blade "Blood") to take down Shen and Hypno...and yes i'll be upgrading my armor now, as much as i love it, it's time to depart from my Garuga armor...it just can't protect me anymore at all against High Rank monsters. People in Hunsterverse say to get the High Rank Kut Ku armor, is it really that good? BTW i'm a member of Hunsterverse and Freedom Unite online is a blast. I see you enjoy online MH too.
Hey that's cool :) No problem! A trick I found out later on (they actually tell you in the training hall) is you can trip Hypno pretty consistently, especially with a fire weapon, so, if you focus on his legs, for each leg, after the first stagger, every stagger afterwards will be a trip, and you can hit his head a bunch and rinse and repeat. If using a LS you can use the stab attack and upswing to hit his legs easier. High Rank Kut-Ku armor is fine I guess, the main goal is the high rank Ceanataur armor though, Ceanataur S, it boosts your damage by a lot and you can use it for all of high rank if you wanted it to, you don't have to use it for every quest but I think you should at least have it. Yeah, multiplayer is great in this game, Monster Hunter was made and designed as a co-operative experience, all of this singleplayer stuff is kinda extra really, there's no singleplayer G-Rank, for example. There's a lot of cool mechanics from Frontier that I hope we don't just lose. I never played that game, though it definitely seems quite different from the mainline games. Some cool stuff that could be adapted somehow, maybe. I think Espinas like, ignores you for a while, right? lol, it's pretty unique.
@@HeadHunter455 he has insane armor when passive, like literally a lot of attacks will bounce off. But, when he rages, he becomes this stupidly aggressive poison monster who can decimate areas with toxic debuff. He becomes softer however.

Yeah, spacing is really important. Shen Gaoren is tough, try using hammer on his legs or a dragon element pierce bow or pierce hbg on his shell maybe >.

Yeah... some people still insist he's ok in 2nd gen, but I really can't see how :/ I recommend you use lance for Tigrex. At best it'll help you clear the quest, at worst it'll show you how simply changing a weapon can **trivialize** monster hunter, and how that's a design issue. As the years have passed since The release of FU, and frontier died a year later, i now question myself: why Is Hypno never returned in games like GU or Rise but we got the Lavasioth returned more, like we liked more lavasioth than hypno when in reality some people does not (me included)
Well, MHFU came out in 2008. Frontier died in 2019. If they could use the frontier monsters in some way it would be really cool. It'd be great to see Hypnocatrice in MHRise for example, and the other Frontier monsters. Hopefully Capcom realizes that, if they're even able to. As far as I know they don't use the monsters because there was some disagreement between the devs. I dunno.
Well, Hypnocatrice doesn't use the ice element, but I guess. It shares a lot of moves with other Bird Wyverns, but don't underestimate it, it can do a lot of damage, especially considering it's your first High Rank monster. You're starting from the bottom again, so try and take it slow when you need to.

As the years have passed since The release of FU, and frontier died a year later, i now question myself: why Is Hypno never returned in games like GU or Rise but we got the Lavasioth returned more, like we liked more lavasioth than hypno when in reality some people does not (me included)
Well, MHFU came out in 2008.
Frontier died in 2019.
If they could use the frontier monsters in some way it would be really cool.
It'd be great to see Hypnocatrice in MHRise for example, and the other Frontier monsters.
Hopefully Capcom realizes that, if they're even able to.
As far as I know they don't use the monsters because there was some disagreement between the devs. I dunno.

Well, Hypnocatrice doesn't use the ice element, but I guess. It shares a lot of moves with other Bird Wyverns, but don't underestimate it, it can do a lot of damage, especially considering it's your first High Rank monster.
You're starting from the bottom again, so try and take it slow when you need to.

I think LS is not suitable to trip bird wyvern, because it has wide attack it hits other body part 1st...i usually use DS and hammer, it really gets the job done
