The smart money goes to the Magellan 24 can backpack cooler. Yeti performance at an Academy price ($90). Built like a tank with Hypalon, so very, very, durable.
At 4:15 the stitching you are looking at is called a bartack. The number of stitches and the size of the thread is more important than the width of the "W's". Bartacks on a jean belt loop are usually 28 stitches per tack. The tacks are made with a semiautomatic sewing machine. Using a bartack is faster, more consistent and less expensive than sewing on a manual machine.
I have 3 Yeti coolers all different styles. Like all of them. Yeti does all the R&D work the rest just copy them. I work for a name brand company and know the work that goes into bringing a product to the market. Great video keep up the good work.
I noticed the Tourit is now 218, with tax you are almost at 250. I think at that point, I would pony up for the Yeti. Yeti has a great warranty and the zippers can be finnicky on all brands. Yeti also has any returns on their dime. Many other cooler companies, a return is at your cost to ship the item to them. That is big especially with the hard coolers. Odds are that you will have issues with the soft coolers opposed to the hard coolers.
seems like the biggest complaint of all the non-Yeti soft coolers is the zippers...they all open with some force but Yeti seems to have conquered this job...any people bring this up to you???......great review, thanks for your time and efforts
I will never be spending 300 for a soft side cooler. The ozark softside with the zipperless top was great for 50 and i dont need to worry about it walking off. Im not a fan of the zippers
@@WanderingWeekends that's because it's what people care about the most. How long will that ice last. Most don't care about brands. If Dollar General sold their own brand and it kept ice longer than Yeti you best believe Yeti would be declaring bankruptcy.

Good info. Tighter “W’s”= higher number of stitches correct? That was that point I was attempting to make.
Yeti products are so overpriced.
Thanks for your honest opinion on these🤗
We like our Rtic, not backpack but cheaper than Yeti.

"R&D" LOL
If they perform just as good as the yeti…. Then I will definitely buy the cheaper product.

Tractor supply has a Treeline brand just like that tourit for 99.99
I got one on sale at TSC for $13 bucks
We've been thinking about one for hikes, I'm just not styling the fanny pack one like I used to in the 80s.
Hey those were super useful!! Haha. Especially the denim ones. They’d last forever!
Frigid rigid coolers are made in the USA

Nice video. I would like to see the $40 Titan brand they sell at Costco. It's comfortable.
I give ya a thumbs up but I was willy here trying to get a peep of the trailer hitch. 😀
Haha! Still testing the ProPride. One more trip with it and then we will be ready to declare a winner!
Hopefully you will one day compare yetis backpack cooler to your off brand favorites.
We have a Yeti soft cooler. Performance is similar. The Yeti build is a bit better on the Yeti.
Not an Auburn fan😎 love it
Now Camelbak has a Chillbak….
Then Quechua does a 20L pack for under $25…..
If you are going to pay for these 2 other backpack coolers other than the Yeti buy an RTIC
Can’t disagree.
Buy a Magellan for 1/2 the RTIC price and less than 1/3 the YETI.
Thank you
How's the 7.3 doing
You put that cooler on your back? Are you crazy? Need a 1 ton dually for that.
Oh wrong group.
Coolers are literally the worst thing to carry long distances. Wheels were a game changer, but have their own issues. Backpack? Now we're talking.
Would I be able to attach a folded camping chair to the bottom of the Tourit one?
Should be able to!!
@@WanderingWeekends thanks!!!
@@WanderingWeekends Where is your video of the no name brands ?
Yeti at twice as much as other coolers I don't think they are worth it.
Yeah, they’re tough to justify. I like Yeti’s style but the no-names are coming around in that area too.
No ice challenge?
It’s been done a million times.

No orange in my gear either! ROLL TIDE!!!!😃😃🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘
I would not buy a black cooler.
I would for airports
We I prefer pelican, USA made
Yeah but with materials imported from China like most things "Made in the USA".
@@andrewilliams9921 and Pelican supports our rights to bare arms, unlike Yeti.
@@RyanReddellOr maybe yeti doesn’t support mentality unstable criminals having easy access to guns?
