- The 1979 Soviet invasion of Afghanistan met with fierce resistance from the general population. This film (posted in four parts) from 1986 looks at two aspects of the mujihadeen resistance fighters - the Pashto- speaking fighters from the Hesb-I-Islami mujihadeen, and the Farsi -speaking Northern alliance fighters, led by Ahmed Shah Massoud. Massoud was subsequently murdered by an Algerian news crew on a suicide bombing mission, on September Nine, 2001.
I cried to see that Mujahideen aren't looking well trained army persons, they are just just just civilians like us and fighting with no fear, This is the power of EMAAN and they won ❤

The freedom fighters changed when the Soviets left because now the northern alliance had goals to get rid of the taliban fighting they were already fighting prior to the Soviets an got back at it when the Soviets left.. when America came to Afghanistan we paid the northern alliance who were real freedom fighters and we an armed them an fought side by side.....
