My girlfriend's brother died in a crash, he initially survived the crash and was in the hospital for three days but died due to body issues. Every day while he was in the hospital he listened to this song, so when the funeral happened I sang this song.

I've been through a lot and came close to death that I had to be on a ventilator for 3 days. That was my wake up call. I had to change things around me and once I did, I feel like I'm new again!
I don't plan on my life ending anytime soon, but when I pass, I want this song to be played at my funeral. ✌️💗

My deaf/blind daughter just passed away at 22 years. We used this song at her memorial because she had also lived with a heart defect which eventually took her, but she was not her illness or her challenges. She strived to live a life like us hearing , seeing , able bodied people. She learned to trust, as others were her ears, eyes and voice. She travelled. She learned German Sign Language so she could be part of that deaf community. She floated down the Columbia river with us. Waited patiently for Handi-busses and learned to take the bus. Thank goodness for text - messaging when she missed her stop. She loved her workers with her whole heart, and when the left for other opportunities , she felt the loss deeply.
Her pain tolerance was over the roof when she went through her final surgery - she was the model patient, the one who got up and walked around ICU faster than anyone because she wanted to get out and continue to do more of 'doing it all' . Bless her courageous soul.

This song was picked by my friend for a school project about what you want to do with your life. The song that you were to choose was the song that most represents you. With her life ahead of her, with energy and a smile and the confidence that made her so amazing - Danielle gave her presentation, along with 'I Lived', to her class a few weeks ago. This coming Saturday, November 1, 2014, we bury her. Last Saturday night, Danielle was killed by a drunk driver. She was 16 and had her license for 2 weeks. The woman who killed Danielle also killed one of her own passengers. Danielle was alone, coming home from a movie, and only a mile from home. Danielle was killed instantly. It has left our community heart broken. As we all try and put our hearts back together, this song gives me comfort. As if she is singing it to us ~ almost as if she knew her time was short. I love you my dear friend. You, indeed, Lived.

All milestones in a child's life should be celebrated. It sounds cliche but they are grown and gone so fast. It may not seem like it during the everyday grind and driving them around, don't wish a moment away or say I can't wait until.... Live in the moment. Take it from me, a 40 year old mom of three (a senior in high school, a freshman & a junior in college). I wish I would have take more videos & pictures. Had more one on one time with my boys. Made time for a mandatory sit down dinner. The list is endless & I could beat myself about it from now til the end of time but instead I will keep loving them and encouraging them (and paying for college🙁)

I dedicate this to my grandma Fran, on my dad’s side of the family. She passed when I was 10, about 8 years ago, at 86 years old. Grandma was a stubborn, beautiful, amazing woman. She fell in love with a Navy man and raised four kids with him in a little two bedroom apartment that her waitressing job could barely afford. She might not have had the most exciting life, but oh, how this woman lived.
I also dedicate to my grandmother, Dotty, on my mom’s side. She is still alive, and still living. She eloped with my grandfather when she was 18, and he was 20. Adopted 2 children, raised 5 in total, raised one granddaughter, endured countless holiday dinners, sleepovers, and rambunctious grandchildren (and one great-grand baby) around the house. She went through one knee surgery on both of her knees, two kinds of cancer, and back surgery. She’s dealing with my grandfather, who is 81 and has heart problems that aren’t getting much better. She’s 79 years old right now, and she has one of the most exciting lives I’ve heard of.

This was my Uncles favorite song before he had passed away from cancer... He did so much in his life and impacted so many people.. I didn't take every opportunity to see him because I never thought he would have cancer and be taken so fast.. He had this played at his celebration of life. He told my cousins on his bed that he said "I want this played at my funeral" with a laugh and a smile on his face. He always had a sense of humor, even in his last moments. He truly did do everything he wanted, I'm happy he left happy... I miss you uncle kip, and I wish I could talk with you now... I know you're in a better place now.

I came up the hard way right from the start, abuse, medical problems, surgeries pain and more pain emotional and physical, all my life. Now over fifty, I look back and smile, I knew early you get one ride, don't waste a she one of it. I grabbed life by the throat and went out and did what I want, but always with compassion for others. I traveled across the US and Europe, rode motorcycles, flew in helicopters, learned to swim in the Atlantic ocean, fell in love more than once and got hurt bad, but then found the one, raised two strong handsome capable sons, ran with some outlaws and loved a soldier, never took the easy road . Lost everything twice, came back better each time. Now facing two big dangerous surgeries, told the docs better be over by August, going to a concert. And did it all without much money. You young ones don't waste a moment, be caring but don't ever get used, and nothing is worth giving away all your tomorrows for, ever. Be safe, but don't play it safe and let fear rule you. Go out and live. Good luck to you all.

I’ve dealt with depression for 3 years now. i know i’ve heard this song before, but about a month ago i started to actually listen to it. It makes my days SO much better & makes me want to live, its incredible what music can do. Great artists.
My chorus class did this song for our spring concert. It was my last concert at that school and by the end everyone was crying, it was sort of a tribute to all the 8th graders moving onto high school. I'm so glad we got to do this song.
My family has been through some very hard times cancer and many other horrible things this song is a great inspiration to many who have lost love ones and friends if every song could be like this one the world would be a better place it tells us although some people may pas they lived and it helps the sorrow that we go through and instead of dwelling over things we half to live for them #live
I'm sorry but is this not the most inspirational and uplifting song ever? This song is capturing the beauty of life, not with Y.O.L.Os or Living Your Life With Swag, but loving life and doing the fullest you can do, and that is the true meaning of what we should do with life. And this song really sent that message and captured it perfectly with the tune and everything :)

This song makes me think of my longtime best friend who lived a long 87 years. He lived a long and happy life. This song also makes me think of my mom who had a four year battle with cancer before she passed away when I was twelve and a half at the time. Both of my guardian angels lived long and I always honour them in their memory.
You may not know who I am , but just know you are worth it ! You need to be on this earth and when your time comes to an end ( naturally ) you should be able to say “ I did it all “ and be proud of what you’ve accomplished ! You’ve owned ever second ! I’ve owned every second that this world could give , saw so many places the things I’ve did ! 💗
