I have to admit that these recordings are sometimes a bit... unorthodox, especially regarding dynamics and the loudness of timpani. However, I appreciate some choices, like the crescendo in the three repetitions of the motif at 3:03, it's actually a nice touch. By the way, it's incredible to think that this symphony was composed in just a few days. The first movement has always impressed me for its creativity despite being almost monothematic, and the finale is a little miracle by itself.
The main theme in the first movement with the 1st violins should include vibrato, there's none whatsoever. It also sounds like a very quick sweep with the bow articulations, similar to baroque style. This piece is classical and sonata form, so it should NEVER be played baroque style 😱
4th mvt feels like his jupiter

Wasn't this one composed in a carriage while in transit? It has been so long that I cannot remember for sure...
It took him a whole two-three days? What a slacker. Rossini could have done it in 2-3 hours!
