Love the cut! Respect to the customer. That's a man's man. He's not checking his phone like a Tenderoni like many of these guys do while getting a cut.
As a new barber, I’ve stayed away from the detachable for that reason, knowing how much pressure and the right angles. But I’ve heard multiple times that this method could be faster and listening to how you explain how to fade with them, I think may give me the boost to make the jump to try it out. Video is very informative. Thanks brother ✊🏽
Thank you for posting this!!! I'm a barber school student. I love working with my detachable blade clippers (I'm have an Oster Model 10). I'm going to give your skip blade system a try next week. So yea - More content on detachables !!!!!!
@@s.craftblendz Bro I find using detachable blades so much easier than using the adjustables, why do you feel most barbers go for the adjustables instead of detachables?
@@s.craftblendz Brother I have an equipment question. I currently have a corded Andis T Outliner with a recently sharpened blade and I don't feel it hits like the Babyliss FX gold or the S/C Saber. What corded trimmer would you recommend if you could recommend one at all? I really don't want to buy a cordless but if I have to I have to. I want a corded Saber or something close to that if possible.
More detachable videos love the walk thru and thanks for a video that’s present and not from five years ago. I swear people aty school are sleeping on detachables
Detachable clippers have me confused like hell.....glad you educated and motivated me to look more into using detachable clippers. Years ago I wanted to try the Andis Supra Li 5 (chrome lookin clipper), but I had no understanding about detachable clippers. A lot of barbers have disassociated themselves with the three G.O.A.T. clippers (Andis Masters, Whal Seniors, Oster Fastfeeds), but i see you haven't. I understand new clippers are on the market, but none of those clippers will ever touch the big three: Andis Master, Whal Seniors, and Oster Fastfeeds.......STRAIGHT UP!
My boy super live with it! Crispy Cut, Crispy video edit, crispy video quality, and sharp advice from the champ ! Love the honesty and transparency as always Fam 🫡 love the blade I do need to use them more don’t as much as I used to. About once a week now 🤦🏻♂️
I just bought my first detachable, a corded Oster 97 (only decent cheap one I could find in the UK). Going to use your blueprint on a few test trims at home, thanks for this tutorial Shannon, and all the other detachable tutorials you have done over the year. 💪👍
Thank you 🙏 yeah I usually do the top first but the last couple videos I forget the top once I start recording because I’m so focused on teaching the fade and then I realize half way through that I forgot to do the top first 😂
Keep the detachable vids coming 🔥 Would love to see a detachable mid-fade. Noticed it’s really hard for me to keep darkness in the fade when using detachables 🙏🏼
The more blades you skip the darker your fade will be,so 00000 blade -1 blade - 2 blade 3 1/2 and you can also get the Oster guard with the metal hooks on the back, they fit on the blades 1-00000 you won’t even need adjustable clippers
This type of hair (wavy) I usually brush not comb do you think it's better with comb? If it is why you think? What about the calluc/swirls you comb them too?
Thanks for sharing this video. You're correct about learning how to manipulate a detachable blade by holding it in different angles. I used to use this skip fade technique. I use a fade down technique now. Are there any detachable blades not mentioned in the video that you would recommend?
Thank you 🙏 those are usually the only ones I use but I definitely agree about the fade down technique. I use that a lot too but every time I do a fade down tutorial people say they don’t understand it lol
Yo s craft i Been wanting to ask this for a while but I was wondering if you could make a video of how to use detachable blade guidelines and use a regular clipper to finish the haircut. I was wondering if that’s possible
hey man! when youre using a taper blade do you just gap it hella close? whenever i use a taper blade that closed to no gaurd open is a bitch to get out
S. Craft Blendz, Brother I love all of your content, please bring on a lot more detachable blades tutorials/videos. Also that Apple Watch band is fly! Can u point me n the right direction so that I can cop me one?
Thank you for the tutorial! When I was in barber school your videos are why I purchased detachable blades and an Octane. Have you ever taught at a school?
You’re welcome 🙏 I’ve been asked by different schools to come in and teach their students for the day which I’ve done several times but I’ve never taught full time at a school as a teacher 😁
Any tips for sensitive skin. My son loves skin fades when i use shaver but he breaks out. Tried 2 differents shave same results. Shavers always cleaned and disinfected before use. Any products help or tips with technique?
I’d just zero gap my trimmers and only use trimmers to bald out. Shavers will bump some people up no matter what you do. So I just get it as bald as possible without the shaver
Great system. But if you add the 1 3/4 blade coming back down after using the 2 blade if will definitely save you some time instead of use the 1 1/2 with the corners.. still fire cut #barberlove
U started using detachable blades, but then u picked up the guards for the top thats a no no, instead u should use a 1 1/2 detachable with the grain and then as u did continue using the detachable blades... other than that, great job.
This goes to show how easy it is to fade in general. Just follow your guards and works your way up n then down. It’s all a numerical pattern. N that’s facts
Would always love to see more detachable blade haircuts! I’m all detachable so anything I can learn is much appreciated! 🙏🏼
More to come! Appreciate your feedback 💪
1.5 is 1.. 3.5 is 2. 1 is machine height. 2 forward is 1.5

A real old head comment 😂
You are the RUclips goat for real. Love seeing someone fade with detachable guards

Hey I’m a beginner barber and I appreciate the detachable vids easier to replicate since no barbers use o.g masters like I do
Cool 👍🏻 I’ll do more then.
Would love to see more detachable blade videos. Maybe one talking more about how you decide when to use more pressure, angles, stuff like that!
Thanks for the idea!

I've been using this system for the past 2 years b/c of you. Love it! Thanks again.

That’s awesome!
I was recently searching for a video showing detachables, thanks for posting. I use mine every day
No problem! Glad I could help 👍🏻 more to come

No I don’t
Please drop more video using detachable blades. Fire cut by the way.🔥
Cant wait to try it
Beats so 🔥🔥🔥
With headphones 😅
where did you get your ceramic detachable blades ??
What ceramic blade did you put on them?
How to change your cutting blade to ceramic and set it
Ain’t hard at all
You can buy a ceramic blade for the fast feeds and mark exactly where the old blade sets before changing it out
More detachable blade content 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you 🙏
Was there a specific reason to not using the detachables to knock down the length on top?
This type of hair (wavy) I usually brush not comb do you think it's better with comb?
If it is why you think?
What about the calluc/swirls you comb them too?
You use the 5 zero blade pretty much as a trimmer line???

Can you do a shadow or a low fade using detachables. But i dont have a 1 ¾ blade 😥
Just got my octanes, finally in the detachable game. can you link the blades you use? or is the ceramic moving blade custom?
Which detachable is this?
looks like the Octane.
and how long usually takes on a regular skin fade?
Yo s craft i Been wanting to ask this for a while but I was wondering if you could make a video of how to use detachable blade guidelines and use a regular clipper to finish the haircut. I was wondering if that’s possible
It definitely is possible. I’ll try to do a video on that soon 👍🏻
Would your steps be the same if this was straight hair ?
Yes 👍🏻
🔥🔥 as always
Thank you 🙏
What is the weight difference between the Octane and ZR2
Huge! I’m not sure exactly but the Andis are wayyyy heavier.
hey man! when youre using a taper blade do you just gap it hella close? whenever i use a taper blade that closed to no gaurd open is a bitch to get out
Amazing job more videos please

They’re a lil to heavy for me. Oster octanes are super lightweight
