  • So 21st Century Expeditionist and I decided to head out to an area called Walaka to explore the Oklawaha River, .we were joined by Louis and Cristy who have a Facebook Group Called "Wild Florida" you can check it out here. / 615137742547560
    and of course 21st Century Expeditionist has his own youtube channel, you can check it out here.
    / @21stcenturyexpedition...
    After Lunch we went down a narrow over grown waterway called Bear Creek. It was very challenging with all the deadfall, overhanging branches and vines. But after a few hours we made it back out to the St Johns and carried on south.

    Jay, I gotta say! Those on Kayaks, Canoes and Sailboats see and hear so much more of nature than power boats or jet skies. Not that I have anything against jet skies but they sound like yellow jackets on the water.

      LOL to be honest I prefer the quiet of the human powered boat myself. After a few hours the outboard or other engine types get on my nerves. Thank you for watching I appreciate it.

      @@JungleJayAdventures I'll have to get on Instagram. My brother's drilling a well Geneva side of the Econ down river off Snowhill. A lot of phosphate pebbles, sharks teeth and other fossils come up. State doesn't want the cattle drinking from the river. Call Parsons Drilling see if he might be into a video.

    • @JungleJayAdventures
      @JungleJayAdventures  3 года назад

      How come they don't want them drinking on the river? see a lot of them on the south side. Wonder if thats why they have that new fence on the north side east of Snowhill?

    • @timbosboudreaus7996
      @timbosboudreaus7996 3 года назад

      Possibly poop in the water. And maybe something to do with spreading Covid-19 to the frogs or something. Apparently there's a grant in place for solar panels to power the well pumps. They have to put in quite a few with troughs. Sucks for the cattle. Could also be erosion.

    • @JungleJayAdventures
      @JungleJayAdventures  3 года назад +1

      Yeah the poo in the water is a thing. Causing the spread of E.coli and other contaminates is really bad.

      @@JungleJayAdventures I see that now, thanks! But I don't think you can go from Silver Springs to the St. Johns River on the Oklawaha. There are dams and lots of fallen tree's from the lack of use that have cut us off from the St. Johns River. The dam's need to be removed!
