Ah, lovely, having just set up a second account for teaching stuff only as the limit got reached pretty quick on one account, this will be very useful, cheers
Super helpful @Russell as I'm hopeless as keeping my drive tidy so will definitely give this a go! BTW have you got any suggestions on a good cloud to use that also uploads files that have hyphens, underscores and ? or ! in the file names?
Very useful and many thanks - I was not aware of this feature. However, I'm a world champion in deleting stuff and then, later, wishing I hadn't - or looking for something that no longer exists because - yes! I deleted it. Any tips for idiots like me, Russell? But, I did delete some things and now have half of my free storage, which will do me for a while. One question - is there any way you can delete Google photos that are NOT in an album/collection, so they are only available in the albums?
Reality of the situation is that generally people like me have years of data on the email and drive. I probably dont want to delete everything marked as large files(need to keep some important documents, pictures etc ), which means I have to scroll through endless pages of content and delete what I really dont need anymore
Totally get it! Sorting through years of data is tough. Try using filters to find large files or specific types-makes it easier to keep what’s important and clear out the rest!
@@ttvRussell yeah I am doing that, but its kinda the same situation again as I still have to scroll through the "filtered" large files results and selectively delete what I dont need
Do u know how to get into an old account gor google i have access to my backup account but not the phone number or an old device and i need in my old account its the only one that has my picture of my mom and brother and i lost mom in 2020 and my brother to suicide in 2023
I’m so sorry for your loss. You can try recovering your old Google account by going to Google’s Account Recovery page. Since you have access to your backup account, choose "Try another way" for verification and check if Google can send a recovery link to your backup email. I hope this helps you recover those important memories.
Hi Russell, great video! I have a question, I have different emails in my Google Account, and I paid for 2 TB in my Default email, but they are asking me to buy more space for the other emails account, it is crazy, when I only used 7% of the 2 TB, how it works, they take now all the document on my computer and put them in the cloud, I realised they are deleting my materials when I delate from one place, they delete them in everywhere. I don´t like it, and I deleted hundreds materials for that reason. But later i think, why I have to do it if before we don´t pay for anything, and we maintain all the information and videos, it is clear that it is a busines and about making us to spend money. I really want to understand how they work, do you have a video explaining it, for people who has one Google account but six seven emails on it. Thanks. Best wishes!
I am really sorry, what you are asking is beyond me. I really just use the cloud for a limited numberr of things. Most things are on my hard disc. Sorry I can't help you more.
Extremely grateful, Russell.
I am glad I could help.
So easy and helpful, thanks Russell!!!
You're welcome!

I guess you can but you would probably have to do that on individual basis.
Super helpful
