You are close to PICOP (Paper Industry Corporation of the Philippines) and one of the tree species they plant is falcata. Those are beautiful tall shady trees.
Ravine can be useful when there's a flood during the heavy rain season. It would help these ravines from widening if you plant some bamboo in the slopes or some cassava plants. You can also use the bamboo for furniture or building or just sell it or harvest and eat some of the baby shoots to control the population of the bamboo. The cassava is edible and has many usage and its roots will serve as prevention for erosion.
