@@UM_88-s2c It's great for the price and has no shader compilation stuttering issues like most PC games have nowadays. Games just run smooth and that's enough for me.
I also thought the same when I had the PS4 but here I am now with my Gaming pc with 6700xt even though it's not near 5090 but I am grateful. So you never know

This game looks beautiful and quite realistic when down on the ground (cars, buildings etc) and performs reasonable well considering its just been ;aunched on PC. Unfortunately like most games of 2024 till now, day one or early patches are required to get a good "out of the box" experience .... otherwise, as shown, use Riva Tuner to fix alot of the stuttering issues.
Its sad to see how well the orginal Spiderman game was at launch compared to Spiderman 2

Really hoping such games get optimized. Because most of the games run on TAA and the developers think that it will be good enough to play in DLSS or FSR with Frame Gen. If games get more optimized, more people with lower-end PC's can really purchase them. There would be more gamers.
Even in the old days we were never running the newest and most demanding titles at full 1080p ultra until we finally got to the 1080. You're talking some 5 generations of cards to run games like Crysis at ultra 1080p.
Frankly, I'm of the belief that the explosion in PC gaming popularity has been a net detriment to PC gaming as a whole. It all started when Twitch/Fortnite/Ninja got popular and has just went down hill fast ever since. You got a lot of people that came in when the GTX 10 series, the culmination of everything we learned through the 8 prior generations of GTX cards, and now everyone thinks we should play newest and most demanding titles at the highest resolutions and settings across the board.
We are on our 4th generation of the RTX cards, compare that to the GTX 580 and 590. Yes, unoptimized games are becoming a problem but we used to be excited about devs pushing the boundaries of what was possible and were always happy with 20-30% performance increases gen over gen.

You can significantly improve load times, FPS, and reduce micro stutters by going to the game's installation folder, creating a new folder, and moving the files dsstorage.dll and dsstoragecore.dll into it (the name of the folder doesn't matter).
it's a very bad look to have companies release unoptimized games like this. Especially on a 5080 which should be destroying every game

5080 appears to be a huge waste of time unless you get lucky with the overclock lottery. Apparently some can get nearly as high as a 4090 in terms of performance, but that vram will obviously hold you back in certain titles.
This game looks very unoptimized. I noticed that Nixxes is a team that always drops portings not capable of maxing out GPUs power consuption. Don't know why🤷
5070 Ti, 1440p OLED 360hz 27, might be the wave for now.

People talk crap about frame gen, but it fixes stuttering sometimes. It saved my Witcher 3 play through. I would rather have "fake frames" than have my game stutter all the time.
Bro, I'm upgrading from a 4060 laptop to a 5080 + 9800x3D desktop. Without framegen my 4060 couldn't handle most games. Framegen not only improved performance on most new games, It also allowed me to crank up settings much higher than I normally could and then framegen and DLSS would allow me to still enjoy the game at 100+fps
Or you could cap your fps with RTSS...

Zero stuttering issues with 7800x3d/7900xtx at native 1440p without rt. Above 120fps all of the time. Im not sure what are you talking about.

Buying single-player PC games at launch is a scam - full price for when they're in their worst state. Waiting gets you a better, cheaper, and more polished version. the RTX 5070, 5080 both should’ve had 32GB VRAM, with the 5090 offering even more.

With regards to stutters, be sure to try without power monitoring enabled in your OSD. There is a known bug with it causing stutters in games.

Not even a week out and already needs Frame Generation and/or DLSS, no matter how much you spend on hardware the software is probably going to let you down.
Even the 5090 drops below 60 FPS at 4K in this game. Sad indeed.

4070 super is a solid card. Perf bump maybe around 5-10% but with MFG as Jensen claimed, it matches 4090 (doubt that). If you need a card now, 4070 super good. If you can wait , of course I would prefer newer one, specially if within same price range
4070 Super will likely be less than 10% slower than the 5070 in raw performance. The only thing you'll gain from the 5070 is MFG and slightly faster memory.

Why is RT CPU intensive? Why doesn't the GPU take care of the whole thing? Is Nvidia saving that for the 6x series?

These days we can't even run games on max settings at stable 60fps on $1000 gpus. Not happy times for gamers. Maybe once the chinese figure out gpus, they can burst this overinflated gpu bubble and lower the prices for everyone.
What do you mean these days? I had GTX 680's in SLI and still wasn't getting 1080p max settings in some of the most demanding titles of its day. Most of you came into PC gaming at the culmination of all of the GTX cards, the 10 series, and completely ignore the decade plus it took us to get there.
My GTX 680's cost me $720 each back then, that's $1002 adjusted for inflation.
I'm wondering if the CPU bottleneck could be caused by RayTraced interiors.
Maybe try disabling just that option and test it next time ;)

I mean how can anyone even plan to play on 4k or even 1440p for a couple of years when a game two years old can barely give you a enjoyable on 4k or 1440p maxed out. It's going to be impossible to play newer games that come out, its going to be impossible to keep up and upgrade a high end GPU every two years or three, this is a never ending cycle with absurd prices. And not to mention the games are not being optimized at all.

I'm currently using a Ryzen 7 5700x3d and an RX 6700xt with 32GB of RAM and I plan to upgrade to a 5080. Will the processor handle it? Is there a big bottleneck or is it something like 5-10%?
Exactly the same as my experience on the 4080 + 12700k. Except even more CPU bound. Settings make little difference when it comes to the drops while swinging and traversing really fast. FPS in interiors or away from the streets is typically decent. Especially in main missions that take place in entirely different areas to the main open world. But this is unacceptable, and massively disappointing from Nixxes. Hope they patch this up fast.

The swap from 1440p to 1080p really highlights how bad the optimization is. Barely gained any FPS at all.
