Its 2023 and i see vaultek has a version WITHOUT the Bluetooth hygrometer now. The cigar tray is vertical instead of horizontal. Which means more cigars, but still limited on the sizes u can put.$229.99
Thanks for the tip for all your fellow BOTL/SOTL. Remember to power it with Boveda 69%. Here's a link for Vaultek to check out all their offerings. vaulteksafe.com/lifepod-humidor-series/
I have the one without the hygrometer, I only use the Broveda pack "69" it works s pretty well. But if I'm traveling and can't smoke, I use it for my small (45) I use foam, so it doesn't move around inside.
I love the idea of this product. however, the price is way off the mark. I can buy every size Cigar Caddy and still have money left over to buy cigars a butler and boveda packs. I have the same thoughts about the hygrometer, it takes up so much real estate and that preventing some sizes from ever being carried kills it for me. Even a regular life pod with the PC cedar insert is great tho still not budget friendly. Enjoyed the video Rob! thanks!
Yeah they missed the mark on the price. I have a few lifepod already, but they cigar version is just not worth it. they Make an XL Lifepod might fit longer sticks IF they made a cigar version.
If the travel humidor in question is wooden, then you need to season it. If it's plastic, acrylic, or leather, then no seasoning is required. I just bought an Elevate Bar travel humidor for 25 bucks that holds 15 cigars and that is value. I don’t care what anyone says, $350 for a humidor that holds five cigars is wasteful. I’ll go ahead and let everyone else spend that $350 while I spend my $25 and spend the remaining $325 on cigars.
Your cigars are too dry, your case is leaky for some reason, or both. (or maybe you didn't properly season the cedar tray first.) I have a Cigar Caddy 10-count travel case and I use two 8g 69% Bovedas and typically keep about 8 cigars in the case. My packs last MANY months.
Way to expensive. Can store just 6 cigars so no really helpful for holidays. It use changeable battery instead of recharge with usb or usbc. What else?
I got a lifepod for guns. Not the humidor. Pretty much the same thing. The battery is rechargeable. Idk about the hygrometer part . But the case IS rechargeable
It's most exaggerated shit I ever seen :) You must be stupid to buy something like this just to carry your 4 cigars lol. One seal bag and 1x boveda pack inside ready to go for months.
Yes, according to the Vaultek website, the travel humidor meets TSA guidelines. vaulteksafe.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=214590
I'd spend the money on Boveda travel bags / packs with spare cash to fill them up with cigars
I agree. I also don't think electronic devices are worth their money. They will eventually break at some point. And there are many other good options.
Definitely 💯
Pelican R40 - $55
Boveda Size 60 - $6
TSA Padlock - $10
Just got my Pelican R60. I am excited about it.
It’s pretty for sure but if I have $350 it’s going towards a box or two (?) of ceegars.
Facts
Boveda all day everyday when I travel with one of my Xikar travel cases
Accessory kit. Pulls out a zip lock bag 😂🤣😂
The key of the enjoyment is in the company 🗝️😊❤️👍🏻

It's $280 now, I'll pull the trigger on it as soon as it hoovers around $200.

Vaultek makes awesome products. But I can see to spend on travel humidor. Pelican r60 carry everything.
I carry the r40. Carries everything i need. Was thinking about getting the r60. Just for longer trips.

Rob you are like the cigar version of Nathan from Crown & Caliber and I love it.😂

I just purchased mine. Do I have to season the wood

Can you put longer cigars or lighters under the tray?

then its not for you, there are cigar smokers that see value. maybe some can afford the humidor and 325 on cigars 🤷🏾♂
@@JNaC8 I can afford both, to be honest. There is a point where things become wasteful and this is it.
I know this is an old video but i got this version without the Bluetooth for $150 so i think it’s worth it now. Not at $350 tho
Wish I could get a Butler! But you guys have been out of stock for a month. What’s going on with the Butler?
Discontinued. Still work with IOS and android. Boveda stopped selling due to shipping disruptions. Famous Smokes still has the Biveda Butler in stock.
Those Butlers were a miss for me. Damn thing kept needing to be re-synchronized
How long should a 8g boveda pack last in this? I have it and it seems my packs are rock solid after about 10 days.

Awesome/honest review bro thanks!
Everything I smoke is to long or to large a gauge to fit in this 🤷♂️
Nice product and presentation, but your cam is too far. Can't see closely.
$350 or £249 bit expensive
Not interested to much going on. The deal breaker is should be able to fit all sugar sizes. 🍭🐓👶
Designed by vault guy who never smoked cigar in his life. Look cool but it's not practical. They should come out with 2.0 version.

You have it backwards. The hotter you brew the less bitter it is.
Useless..better get that Cash and buy a tupperware and tons of cigars
You spend so much time explaining about the humidor and its disadvantages and not the humidity?
Jamás gastaría en esa pendejada absurda!
It's not a good value.
It's most exaggerated shit I ever seen :) You must be stupid to buy something like this just to carry your 4 cigars lol. One seal bag and 1x boveda pack inside ready to go for months.
Useless brick lol
can i travel with this humidor in my personal bag in plane ??
