I don't know if you read the notes under the video but I think Adam's comments on his arrangement of Do You hear adds to the appreciation of this video and his arrangement: "On the surface, this arrangement of “Do You Hear What I Hear” sparks the imagination with different musical themes, and brings life to several different scenes or imagery about the birth of Christ. However, a deeper understanding of the song reveals a call for peace in a chaotic violent world under the simple truth preached by Christ: love. Originally written during the Cuban missile crisis, a parallel can be drawn to any time when the world needs a reminder to love not hate. The theme of competing voices is echoed in the execution of the 4 different vocal parts that come to clarity at the 4th verse and unify with the same message in 5 octaves: “Listen to what I say. Pray for peace, people everywhere.” - Adam Rupp
Holy tap dancing space cows...that smile you gave in reaction to that first really low bass note...floored me. Great reaction. Made me smile just as big.
I love Adam’s arrangement...it’s so beautiful and unique and interesting. And the ice castle is such a perfect setting for the video. Thanks for reacting to it.
Adam Rupp (their best boxer) did the arrangement for this song! Glad you enjoyed it! Know you’re not a Xmas song fan but try their original (written by Tim) “I Full of Cheer”! It’s not quite what you expect after the intro! Enjoy!!
I knew you could appreciate this one. That bass and all vocals are so clean. Adam Rupp does about a 15-minute beatbox solo in the middle of their live show, it is ridiculously awesome.
Thanks so much for playing my request! O Holy Night is breathtaking as well. Even their light hearted ones are great. I love watching people react to them. I'd love for them to tell the Country Music Association to eat their shorts and how their fan base will only keep growing bc of their talent. They don't need radio play, record deals or awards to be big. They're already better than most and I mean like 99.9 percent of the "country" artists out there. They used to introduce them on the red carpet and let them sing a few lines. Now it's silence. Well, guess what CMAs? They've made it big doing things the way they want to do it when they want to do it and how they want to do it and they sound phenomenally doing it! Keep it up my Home Free boys. You're the best!
Love that smile, wink, awe, and enjoyment you show when you hear the amazingness of the beatboxing, the harmonies, Tim's bass, and run it back to listen again.
I'm sitting over here vigorously nodding and grinning like an idiot. I KNEW YOU'D DIG THIS!!!! And I know you've got the ear to hear ALL of the nuances. 😁😎 My next Home Free suggestion: Honey I'm Good. Hint: the video has a, Groundhog's Day type story.
YUP, I was thinking the same thing....just when you think you understand how good these guys are then you hear this...the subtle amazingness of the arrangement I knew he would pick up on.
You got this look on your face, like the cat who ate the canary when Tim dropped his bass bomb & you were going to rewind. Throughout your eyes got big like what am I listening to here. Perfect. Thank you for doing this one!
Thanks so much i love this one too brother, and your face when tim dropped the bass priceless. And i agree with you 100 percent a little of Home free goes along way in making people smile. Two of my holiday favourites besides this one is angels we have heard on high, and silent night. Definitely react to any one of Adam Rupp drum solos, and i know you will agree with the rest of us Home fries. He is beyond doubt one of the best,if not the best there is period. Thanks so much, and i am absolutely enjoying your journey with Home free.
Yeah, I love the little grin when he’s about to rewind to hear those (almost) subsonic sounds Tim throws down. I think every one in the group is amazing in this song to be honest. They are all the best versions of themselves in it.
I'm so glad you liked this one, it is pretty amazing. Who needs instruments when you have Home Free? And what can you say about that arrangement. I think you would enjoy Children, Go Where I Send Thee with HF and Kenny Rogers.
Thanks for another great reaction. I am not a big fan of Christmas either but the sheer musicality of this one I can listen to over and over any time of the year. I have had the privilege of seeing them live and the notes that Tim hit during that performance were absolutely unbelievable.
Christmas is not so big a deal since mom passed and the kids have grown up. This song had always been my favorite Christmas song, but when I heard these fellows sing it... I can listen to this one any time of year. Your face! I was waiting, you delivered. Thanks! ^_^
Great hat! 👍 And great smile. 😁 I love this arrangement & performance. They breathed new life into it I think. Not to mention the setting they chose....
This is one of my favorite favorites of theirs. Both Adam, and Tim were really outdoing themselves on this one. Yep felt that bass in my butt, LoL. I smile every time you give that cheeky grin when you like something.
Was that not awesome ?!!!...Thanks for the play, I gave you a heads up saying you'd be shocked and amazed all at once. Keep them coming. Your becoming one of my favorite reactors. Again thanks for the play.
Thanks! The funny story they tell about this arrangement done by beat-boxer Adam is that he usually writes too difficult arrangements for them to do. lol. But this one they realized they could work with it and make it happen. And wow! It was super layered and they are all so talented in so many, many ways! A completely different one you might like to watch(!) and listen to is Blue Ain't Your Color (Keith Urban cover.) If you haven't done it yet, I think you'll really enjoy the complete different way they do that one! Shows the range of this awesome group. Thanks.
Thank you for your "knucklehead" comment. I'm also blown away with their rendition of a song that I've never really wanted to hear more than once a season......but now I've already listened to Home Free's version several times this Christmas season. It's a refreshingly satisfying pleasure.
Loved your reaction for some funnier Christmas songs Grandma got run over by a reindeer, Full of cheer and one of my favorites that shows off Austin's talent and Rob's is a live version of Run Run Rudolf Russell Wolff production is probably the best
Adam (the beatboxes) arranged this song. It is my favorite arrangement of this song ever!! If you ever get the chance to see them live, you should. Check out their website at www.homefreemusic.com/tour. You won’t be disappointed! As always, I loved your real reaction! Your facial expressions said it all! I love when Tim drops those low notes. Imagine sitting in a seat at one of their shows. You’ll feel it in your whole body! Your seat will vibrate! Of course, I usually sit up close. I can’t speak for back rows or balcony seats. Thank you for doing this reaction. This has always been one of my top 3 Christmas songs of all time. We fellow Home Fries thank you!
I love, love love you! Your smile when Tim hits those low notes, and then you proceed to back the video up and listen again, it cracks me up every time. I also saw you reach up and grab your ears a time or two, and I instinctively knew why. If you think he rattles your ears with those low notes, you should see them live. Your seat, your butt, and everything in the place vibrates like crazy. And when he hits those really low, low notes....you get this pressure in your chest that feels like someone just sat on you. LOL! Never have I ever had that happen with any entertainer before. Oh yeah, Adam is a total beast, too. He's won the title of beat boxer of the world, more than once. IMO- he's the best there is. Thanks, can't wait until I see what you have coming up next.
That had to be the best reaction I have ever seen, I was patiently waiting for you to hear this song, and I was rewarded !!! I think you liked it !!! Adam, the beatboxer arranged this, I wish he would do more. His arrangement featured all the guys, which is great. I liked Tim's base of course, but I love Austin's background high vocals and those sounds he makes. One of their best !!!
Absolutely love your reactions! I was dying laughing at your first rewind from Tim’s low note. Crazy! This is probably my favorite of theirs. (...not sure I believe that but it’s true right now...lol). It really showcases them all! Tim’s incredible low range while Austin has those soaring highs. And Adam with that beatboxing. Holy cow!
4:19 - 5 octaves in 5 seconds! Tim, right up to Austin!! 😉 This is spectacular when done live! It just gives you chills when you hear it & feel that bass running thru you. This is one of my top 2 fav Christmas songs by them! The other is "I'll Be Home For Christmas" cuz I love the video that goes with it.
I keep coming back to watch this again and again, for the music and the reaction! By now I can rest assured that you're not going to swallow your toothpick!
I agree let's play their music It would be a much better place instead of all the crazy and mean people Thank you for your reaction to this Christmas Song
Watching, grinning, laughing, and loving every bit of this song right along with you. I never, EVER get tired of listening to it. Adam Rupp (the beatboxer) arranged it, and wrote the intro in the description for RUclips. I love those parts, too. :-) EDIT: I had suggested "Mayday," but now I know you already reacted to it...going to go watch that one right now. :-D
I have to agree with what everyone else is saying, I LOVE that look in your eyes and that mischievous smile on your face as you get ready to rewind and hear that note again. :) Makes me glad to know that I'm not the only one that is rewinding on these videos. :) LOVE the reaction!! Glad I subscribed!!
What are you doing to me? I didn't know about this. My heart can't decide if it's in my throat or my stomach. I'm going to have to listen to this a LOT more times. Pentatonix owns Christmas music, but they're going to have to let Home Free in (rent-free, too) with this one.
and this is why Tim is being inducted into the Gulf Coast Music Hall of Fame on Friday :) Unreal range plus the ability to sing different styles. Without the other guys, I would have never guessed he's country on first listen. Yea, upon more listens I do still hear a little country cause that's primarily what they are, but a lot of this is classical technique, like you might find in light opera stuff ( Phantom of The Opera, Mame, The Music Man. ) not like all out Pavorotti or anything, though I am sure they could do that if they wanted to. They do a great job on Bring Him Home.
So this was my fault... I’ve heard this before and should have known. But for some unknown reason I had the volume turned to the max... I HAD an older pair of earphones that I, now, need to replace. I love this arrangement and the dynamics between the vocal sections was on point.
Tim played this for me in my car. There is a part where they come in on "Listen to what I say" where they cover 5 octaves. Another bass that you need to check out is Tim Storms. He sang with Acappella and Rescue. Also sang in Branson, MO. Lowest bass ever recorded. I believe he has the Guinness World record for lowest note (1.3) hertz) and largest range (10 Octaves). Paul David Kennimer is another - He sang with Valor. Look up Old Ship of Zion. You will not be upset that you did.
I love their arrangement of Ave Maria and Angel we have heard of high. Thank you..even though you don't care for the Christmas music. I also like their Grandma got run over.....and Even full of more cheer.commonly called my baby's left me full of cheer. The bass as all other parts are amazing. thank you. Did you do IOn the Blood?
I'd be so proud to call you friend, your ear(s) perk up every time Tim shoots out on of those earthquaking low notes, and you get this sincerely hilarious S***eating grins its delightful to see your joy.
You are a breath of fresh of air. I've been a "Home Fry" since the Sing Off and it never gets old seeing people's reactions to their talent. Thank you for being honest and open. Blessings to you and yours!
I get a kick out of your smile and smirk when you rewind a bit to reflect on an extraordinary sound you hear Tim make. He definitely rattles the bass lol.
This was so good. The hand slapping made me think of the Sleigh Ride song and the snapping of the whip that the percussion players do.(I was in the school band as a youth and the Sleigh Ride song was so fun to play and listen too. The percussion group would shine in that song. But, my heart is with the Christmas songs that are about Christ. Because He is the reason that we even have the holiday.....Christmas.
This is bar none my favorite version of this song❣ Y'alls face when Tim be droppin those way low down bombs and the other intricate nuances...priceless!!! EPIC REACTION once again...blessings ❤❤❤
I can’t tell you how much I love watching your reactions! You have said you would like to see HomeFree live! I’m one of the fortunate ones that has been front row! Very much worth it!! They’re awesome and they are so much fun!!! I see that you are a big fan of Tim and his voice! You should check out his video Can’t Help Falling in Love! Shows not all but much of his range! I’m certain you will love it! Merry Christmas and God bless your sweet soul!
I'm an atheist. I can still appreciate the sound of an extremely well done 'godsquad' song. I know HomeFree have done a few godsquad songs, and still gobsmack us that don't have a religion purely and simply because of the perfection of their voices
the honesty you show with your reviews is a rare thing -please dont lose it and yes i probably would go to the stores if they played Home Free during the Holiday but for now i will shop online and listen to Home Free at home and attend their concerts 1ce a year- if you get a chance go to their concert you will be throughly entertained and amazed
I had the pleasure of feeling that E0 live. I thought I needed a Defibrillator, my heart felt like it fell out of my arse. And the guitar effect is just... damn, where's the guitarist, Austin? And that riff, I still hear that in my sleep.
Everytime you smiled after a Tim bass-note, I kept saying to myself, "just wait..." LOL I also found the SHOW MORE notes which explain the 5-octave passage really educational...Be Blessed! --just another Happy Home Fry ;)
- Adam Rupp
Adam Rupp’s arrangement is off the hook!!!! It doesn’t get better than this!🎄🙏🏽🥰🥰🥰😍✌🏽🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥Home Free makes everything better😉
Austin has the voice of an angel but I think they could use Tim's bass reverberations to restart a heart in a pinch
Holy tap dancing space cows...that smile you gave in reaction to that first really low bass note...floored me. Great reaction. Made me smile just as big.
Beat boxer just killed it
I love Adam’s arrangement...it’s so beautiful and unique and interesting.
Enjoy!!
love your reactions AND replays to Tim's bass haha
Adam arranged this... Tim used his range... but that bass...
Home Free - Go Rest High on that Mountain
DS, I just love your reactions. There are times when you are serious and times when you are like a naughty little boy! Just love you!!!
I knew you could appreciate this one. That bass and all vocals are so clean. Adam Rupp does about a 15-minute beatbox solo in the middle of their live show, it is ridiculously awesome.
Music transcends and defies boundaries. A side note- you’ve got one of the best smiles I’ve ever seen. Thanks for sharing it
Thank you so much!!
I agree--one of the reasons I come here is to see that smile--can't help smiling back, then I feel better about my day! 😊
Thanks so much for playing my request! O Holy Night is breathtaking as well. Even their light hearted ones are great. I love watching people react to them. Arlene ElvisGirl There are a couple of videos of them being interviewed and singing on the CMAs red carpet just a couple weeks ago.
Love that smile, wink, awe, and enjoyment you show when you hear the amazingness of the beatboxing, the harmonies, Tim's bass, and run it back to listen again.
Laughing and clapping at your reaction to Tim.
I'm sitting over here vigorously nodding and grinning like an idiot. I KNEW YOU'D DIG THIS!!!! And I know you've got the ear to hear ALL of the nuances. 😁😎
My next Home Free suggestion: Honey I'm Good. Hint: the video has a, Groundhog's Day type story.
YUP, I was thinking the same thing....just when you think you understand how good these guys are then you hear this...the subtle amazingness of the arrangement I knew he would pick up on.
I gotta love that Cheshire Cat/Tim Curry grin you have when you back things up
This was the first song I had heard from them... became an immediate fan!! Thanks!!
You got this look on your face, like the cat who ate the canary when Tim dropped his bass bomb & you were going to rewind. Throughout your eyes got big like what am I listening to here. Perfect. Thank you for doing this one!

The thing about Adam is that he doesn't sound like any other beatboxer out there. His sound is unique.
Yeah, I love the little grin when he’s about to rewind to hear those (almost) subsonic sounds Tim throws down. I think every one in the group is amazing in this song to be honest. They are all the best versions of themselves in it.
This is the first song I heard them perform and it just shadered me I have been in LOVE every sense, that was 5 years ago they are my number ONE
Your reaction cracked me up!! 🤣🤣🤣 you didn’t have to speak a word, your face said it all 😁
Rob is a reincarnated angel but oh, that bass.
I'm so glad you liked this one, it is pretty amazing. Who needs instruments when you have Home Free? And what can you say about that arrangement. I think you would enjoy Children, Go Where I Send Thee with HF and Kenny Rogers.

For your HomeFree listening pleasure. The song "Full of Cheer"
Dude, i love your reactions, then the smile when u rewind to a certain point to hear something again. Classic! Wish you health, happiness.
Adam Rupp drum solo is Amazing
Home Free O Holy Night
Great hat! 👍 And great smile. 😁 I love this arrangement & performance. They breathed new life into it I think. Not to mention the setting they chose....

I'm at work right now but I've gotta listen to this on my surround sound when I get home. Tim might bust my sub woofer!! Lol

I wish I could add a like every time I watch your reactions to Home Free. LOL

Wonderful!!! Tim's ability to sustain the low notes is so impressive... he doesn't just hit them ... he can maintain the tone!! Thank you much!!
That had to be the best reaction I have ever seen, I was patiently waiting for you to hear this song, and I was rewarded !!! I think you liked it !!! I can't wait to see their holiday concert! DEC 14 can't get here soon enough.
Absolutely love your reactions! I was dying laughing at your first rewind from Tim’s low note. Crazy! This is probably my favorite of theirs. Great reaction, especially rewind for Tim.
Welcome to the sonic equivalent of an F-Me moment. So glad you reacted to this. Thanks. Your reaction made my day.

LOVE that octave climb! I don't even know if Austin's high note exists in the real world!!! :)
I keep coming back to watch this again and again, for the music and the reaction! By now I can rest assured that you're not going to swallow your toothpick!
I agree let's play their music It would be a much better place instead of all the crazy and mean people Thank you for your reaction to this Christmas Song

EDIT: I had suggested "Mayday," but now I know you already reacted to it...going to go watch that one right now. :-D
And the beat boxer is unbelievable all that sound from him
I love this song and I loved your reaction. Watching your reaction was like being reintroduced to the video and song.
Love to watch you have fun. Your smile is infectious. Looking forward to more Home Free music. So glad you have grown to like them.
Yes, Hearing Home Free while I shop would be better! Amazing arrangement
Your reaction was priceless!
Your expression when Tim bottoms out is classic. The look you give the camera when you rewind is why I keep watching!
What are you doing to me? I didn't know about this. My heart can't decide if it's in my throat or my stomach. I'm going to have to listen to this a LOT more times. Pentatonix owns Christmas music, but they're going to have to let Home Free in (rent-free, too) with this one.

I don't know about y'all but I can feel a vibration in my bones when Tim hits those incredible low notes.👏👏
they are fantastic live, seen them twice
I am SO glad you reacted to this one! 💖💖💖
That whole arrangement is beautiful, Tim & Adam are amazing.
Yes!! That smile and then the run back were great but that WINK!!! I just love your reaction. Again, again, again!! Three-peat.
I love this one. Unexpected arrangement throughout the song.
I love your facial expressions when Tim hits his mind blowing , ear exploding low base notes!
I live it when Tim hits those notes and you break out into your big smile I know you are going to rewind it a few times. FIRE!!!!
It's awesome live, arr. by best-in-the-biz bboxer/tenor Adam Rupp, it's gorgeous!💜
At 03:29, Tim went from high tenors tenors baritone to lyrnic, deep bass, in 4 seconds!!!🔥🔥
I think you will really appreciate Peter Hollens & his collaborations. Here is a Tim Foust featured song: Misty Mountains
It's coming very VERY soon!
are you smiling? Homefree magic at work- let them in your heart!!
I agree with you DramaSyde. They do seem to get better each time I hear them perform. Tim's bass is unreal.
The look on your face when Tim hit that low note when he sang gold, was absolutely priceless! lol
Chris Rupp does "What Child is This" featuring Home Free - more amazing harmonies!
Knew you would enjoy this arrangement, Adam Rupp did the arrange the way they preformed the song. Going to see them live next week for the first time.
So no words for Austin’s notes?? I think his notes in here are so good
Adams wonderful arrangement. Such talent
I get a kick out of your smile and smirk when you rewind a bit to reflect on an extraordinary sound you hear Tim make. He definitely rattles the bass lol.
Your face! That grin...and we all know what happens after that! Too funny!
your face when Tim hits those notes is just awesome!!!
This is one of the top music videos ever! This group is so unbelievably amazing.
I agree with that statement!!😊 New subscriber. I'm Loving your reactions to Home Free!!
Goin' thru a tough time but your reactions have helped me laugh through the tears. Thanks
2:15 that smile had me cracking up. I'm glad I found your channel!
This is why you always wear headphones when listening to HF!!
I had the pleasure of feeling that E0 live. I thought I needed a Defibrillator, my heart felt like it fell out of my arse. And the guitar effect is just... damn, where's the guitarist, Austin? And that riff, I still hear that in my sleep.
Home Free in every store 🙌
Everytime you smiled after a Tim bass-note, I kept saying to myself, "just wait..." LOL
I also found the SHOW MORE notes which explain the 5-octave passage really educational...Be Blessed! --just another Happy Home Fry ;)
Wait....🤣
