    I Highly dislike shopping a store I don't usually visit. It takes too long to find the items, which is where I put on puppy dawg eyes and ask for help. And later in the evenings when I have to shop a Target for food items, 1. I don't ever shop at Target personally so I don't know the store. 2. They always lock the doors at the food side so I have enter the other side of the store and walk clear across to the other side. It's frustrating. I finally downloaded the Target app and it tells me where and which aisle the items are at. I'm learning.

    When im working 60-70 hrs at work i truly appreciate my spark shopper! Its never an easy order to get all my coke & water for my lunches along with all my pets food! I leave a $40 tip, but leave an extra $20 on the porch!! So if they deliver to my door & not throw it in front of the garage, they get extra for helping me! You guys are truly appreciated!!! I would never ask someone to pickup makeup & personals im picky about! I dont like looking for that stuff either! Its crazy

    Yes, I would’ve lost my marbles if I had to do that order. I probably would’ve canceled it in the middle of shopping. 14:12

    Hopefully it never comes back to bite me but on Door Dash shops, with customer approved substitutions, I tell the app I have the original item and just take a picture of the replacement. I call it lying to the app in my head when I do it lol

      If they’re gonna make it so difficult then as long as it’s documented in the customer chat, I wouldn’t worry about it especially if you haven’t had a problem to date.

    One thing I love about DoorDash in my state that I have the ability to turn shop and pay on/off when I want to but yeah I would have been mad if I had the order you guys had.

    I always have trouble in the Dollar general I have figured out that you have to let the entire grocery list load before you go in the store. I think it is because of the metal structure of the roof that the signal is bad in the store.

    What I've been doing... Tell the customer that I'm refunding the item that won't scan, when it is the right item, then ringing it up anyway. Sure, I'll lose from the app, but they'll still tip properly. Instacart does the same stuff sometimes.

    If I hit an extended dead period I wander around inside a TJ maxx that keeps me in an Instacart proximity bubble for a Stop&shop and is also surrounded by a half dozen restaurants and a Starbucks. Climate controlled and a clean bathroom.

    So many Door Dashers who make YT content have been singing the same song, Lou... Instead of putting so much money into advertising (find me 1 person who can't tell you something about DoorDash) and that they should put more effort into making the shopper/delivery app so much better! I UberEats more often and I find DoorDash awkward and clunky in comparison. Heather xo

    Dollar General is the worst place for DD shop and pays. I just did one last week where the exact same thing happened and no barcodes can be read even when they are the correct barcodes. Every other store seems to work much better but Dollar General sucks

    Last night was brutal where I live in Texas. $56 for 4 hours. I ended up ending my dash 30 minutes early. I was tired. My husband was like Mary from one of your past videos, yawned like 20 times in a row. 😂 I enjoy watching your videos.

    Hello Mary and Lou! Definitely need a coffee after that DoorDash run! ☕️ Also, if it's slow I would call it but keep apps on because I always have an good order come through. Like really because I'm close to home. I end up accepting it!😂😂

      But especially even if you have like a 20 minute drive home, give or take; you could be done, but keep an eye out in case there’s one going in your direction so it’s not dead miles.

    I rarely do discount stores or even warehouse stores. It’s such a hassle due to inventory.
    Last year I had - what should have been- an easy drug store DD order.
    A card - a gift bag and another items I can’t recall. The store had nothing that was on the original order and no substitutes offered and the damn app wouldn’t let me substitute anything!
    After 20 min of trying my HARDEST to get it done the app just wouldn’t. I told the customer I was un -assigning and why .
    IC is much easier when substituting.
    With DD it’s a nightmare.
    We can bend over backwards but sometimes we can only do so much and the KARENS out there need to understand that.

    I get it work can be stressful and getting frustrated is a normal thing. Things don’t always go your way. But as a customer who is paying for white glove service - I would expect my dasher to do a little more to provide the best service possible. If an item is not available I would expect a professional shopper to find the closest possible substitutes for my item. Part of being a shopper is knowing your stores and having general knowledge of items available. You don’t have to be an expert but try to provide above & beyond service for your customers!

    • @thebobbleheaddiaries6921
      @thebobbleheaddiaries6921 8 месяцев назад +14

      I disagree. At stores that dont carry a normal inventory it is extremely frustrating to “guess” a good substitution as I don’t know your personal likes.
      Discount stores are horrendous. All the shoppers can do is send a pic and communicate. Plus DoorDash app isn’t great at substituting any products. Instacart is - DD is not.
      We shoppers can only do so much.

      White glove service ? Convenience is not white glove.

    • @thomasoreilly3772
      @thomasoreilly3772 8 месяцев назад +2

      Customer service is about the end customer. I enjoy the content of this channel and again I acknowledge that their feelings of frustration are normal for workers in any industry. I just did not love the sentiment that the customer should have shopped for the items themselves. When I am paying for a service I expect that a professional shopper will be willing to problem solve and work to overcome obstacles to deliver me the best service possible. You can blame the store, the customer or the app all you want but without all three this industry wouldn’t exist for gig workers.

    • @Latina805
      @Latina805 8 месяцев назад +12

      Try being a shopper for a day and you too would be frustrated by what you may encounter. I think their frustration is completely normal. And I would have done worse than them by cancelling this entire order while in the middle of it because of the lack of replacements. The amount of money vs my time/effort wouldn’t have been worth it. And this is just my opinion.
