    There is a pack of widescreen pnach files you can download just copy the cheats_ws folder into your pcsx2 folder. forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-PCSX2-Widescreen-Game-Patches?pid=271674#pid271674

    Hey, your game looks pretty good. What are your settings? I already patched mine but when I go fullscreen everything looks so...pixelated?

      Hi. I don't remember my settings exactly, but I remember there was no something special.
      Try to change Video (GS) settings in pcsx2. Try to set resolution to 2x Native or higher (or choose Custom and set the resolution of your display)
      One more thing to try - in Video (GS) settings press right bottom button (Shader Configuration) and be sure "Texture filtering of Display" is checked.
      Updated. There are special settings for this game, but non of them about pixelization/ Watch descrtiption to the video ruclips.net/video/latHGEU7qfU/видео.html

      thanks a lot man! shortly after I wrote that I ended up messing around with it a bit and changed the resolution to my display and it actually fixed the whole thing at least so far (haven't tested on cutscenes). I haven't tried any further hacks or settings yet but I'll take a look at the video you posted if I run into some trouble.
      Update: I can't seem to find the "Texture filtering of Display" nor the "Half pixel offset normal(vertex) and Large Framebuffer option on my settings, is this only available on PCSX 1.5.0 or is it just my plugin?
      also does your configuration for the cutscenes makes them lose the black borders?

      Yes. Those options are only for pcsx2 1.5.0
      To remove black borders you should go to pcsx2 folder, then go to cheats_ws and find 5B657DAD.pnach file there. Open it with any text editor (Notepad for example). Delete "//" thing before the "patch" words. You should get something like that in the end of the file:
      //cutscenes black borders fix (optional memory hack)
      patch=1,EE,202A8578,extended,24030000 //24030001
      //battle black borders fix (optional memory hack)
      patch=1,EE,2032CEF8,extended,24030000 //24030010
      Save the file.
      Note. In 1.5.0 file there are notes that those black borders fixes may cause errors. So if anything happens - try to "//" it again.

      Alright, I managed to do it on 1.5.0 , put my widescreen patch on cheats_ws, uncommented those two lines, and start a new game. first cutscene with the pilot still has black bars, but the next one with Miranda had none. Is this supposed to happen? The cutscene with Yuki flying for the first time still has the bars too

      Some of the cutscenes are prerendered movies (like in Final Fantasy series, for example, but in FF series movies were more detailed, more cinematic. But in Grandia it seems like the graphic in movies is the same as in the game, so there maybe confusion - where is the prerendered movie and where is the game cutscene.). Those movies will do have black borders. Maybe someone somewhere will do codes to remove black bars from movies too.
