Vraiment magnifique ! Cette musique mérite plus de visibilité, la structure et la signature sonore sont vraiment tres agréable a ecouter ! Plein d'encouragement !
How wonderful to see a full orchestra of recorders - and what a mellow sound. Can someone explain to me the lateral blowing please - I've never come across it before.
Thank you very much for your comment ! This piece is called "Singing Wind" and at one point it says on the score: Improvisation on wind noise. The composer asks that the flautists blow into the first hole of the bore to imitate the sound of the wind by varying the undulations of the wind and superimposing them ! This piece is deep and of great beauty, and in concert, spectators love it ! It has a very special charm !
@@fredericjubault1906 Thank you. We didn't really in time for the last concert, but hopefully the one this weekend will do better. Though since the one I'm playing soprano on will only be me on that part, that piece should be okay except for the high Cs. And I'm on bass for the other one.
You have to do specific work on it, if 2 sopranos play exactly the same thing in unison, you first have to tune the flutes well of course, but then you have to take the time to listen note by note to what happens for the 2 flutes to be perfectly in tune with each other, you also have to be very careful about the way the 2 flutists blow into their flute, you have to try to have the same air pressure otherwise it can change everything and be very wrong and that, unfortunately, playing out of tune with sopranos goes quickly ! If the 2 drums play 2 different parts, you still have to take time to listen to each other well in order to play correctly, otherwise it could be wrong. The accuracy with the sopranos is a big job that takes time and personally I only use 2 or 3 sopranos out of the 40/45 flautists who make up the orchestra, it is quite enough, because the sopranos are very high, for cons, I try to have the most serious possible, it's better for the balance between all parties ! I hope these tips help you a bit ! Best wishes

all this recorder player whow
😇🥰🥰
I wish the recorder consort I play in could get our sopranos as well in tune with each other when we've more than one on the part.
It's always difficult to tune several soprano flutes well together and you have to listen to each other, but you'll get there, I'm sure!
