Sooo excited you’re back. I decorate like you and am so tired of videos of contemporary, farmhouse, neutral decor. You inspired me to tell my granddaughter that even if you’re renting ask Landlord to allow upgrades even if you’re paying for it because you have to live there and you need to enjoy where you live. Yes, people may not have money to do alot but get ideas from like The Little Blue Fly and do it on a budget. Im excited about what you are doing in this home!❤
I little paint goes a long ways😊. Painting is time consuming with a fabulous outcome. Mostly everything leaves with us when we go. 🌷🏡🌷

Bev, I can not express how much I love your channel. I decorate the same way and it’s refreshing to have someone on RUclips that actually loves all the same things I love. This has been my style all my adult life. The table, antique china, the clock - they just make my heart skip a beat! Also, my parents always remodeled every apartment they rented as soon as they moved in. It did not matter to them that it was a rental. My mother wanted to be surrounded by beauty and the things they loved so wallpaper would go up, rooms got painted. My father would make cabinets etc to fit the space. They made it their own while they lived there and always left the property better than they found it. I’m the same way. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful treasures. I really do share your excitement! ❤
You have inspired me to start making my little 1950 cottage beautiful. It has been a very rough first 6 months of the year. I had double pneumonia since Thanksgiving. Then in February, I fell outside a Dollar General and hurt myself pretty badly. If that wasn’t enough, my son passed away in my driveway two weeks later and unfortunately, I found him. He was only 43. His heart gave out. So, please continue inspiring me to get my home that I downsized into two years ago with a broken hip halfway through the move. Thank you so very much! I am going to get my flow blue dinnerware out finally!!!

So very sorry for your loss and troubles, I am in a similar boat but I do have my health, although I have had lots of loss and challenges. I moved from CA back to TX and downsized and am in midst of renovating my cottage…it’s taken a long time. Bought my home 2 years ago…wishing you the best.🙏🏼💫🌿

We lived in Italy for almost four years. We were in the Air Force and were young with a baby and hardly any money, but I look around our house almost forty years later and see so many items from that time. Our years there have influenced my decor ever since. Love that you incorporate quality and well loved items!

Good gosh!! This girl with Danish blood is loving this blue and white bonanza. I have my Plates from Denmark and the small things from my grandmother. They are so pretty on the wall. I don't have any to use for food, but a couple of cups and sauces. I have figurines that were my Mother in law's. The joy you felt, finding them I could imagine. I will be here, and so happy to here from you again. Joyce
That brass basket, very heavy, is often used for small starter fire-wood pieces by the fireplace. I have seen them used in bathrooms with rolled towels. Bar-keepers is a great way to gently clean the dishes. A bit of the powder and water. The meat trays are a rare find! The holes are great for letting the heat out so the meat does not overcook in too much steam. Charcuterie tray is excellent!

The stamp on your platters is Verona Royal Semi Porcelain Woods & Son England. It looks like they were made sometime around 1904-1906.
The bowl with the handles should have a lid. It is a vegetable bowl.

Was listening to an expert talk abt antique/vintage dishes & she suggested not stacking more than 6 plates together. She said it added too much stress to the bottom pieces. I had no idea, but it does make sense. Gotta protect those beautiful bits & pieces of history! 💖

The blurry blue chine is called ‘flow blue’ porcelain. It’s a style and not a mistake.

I have recently moved into an official “tiny house”. It’s a very small 300 sq feet. We’ve retired and this was my husbands dream. I have to say I was on board with it as well. Even though our home is new I want to decorate it in your beautiful style! I’ve always / even before it was trendy) decorated with neutrals and farmhouse cottage. Now I want to go in a different direction. I will be watching how you decorate your rental and incorporating your tips and tricks. Thank you so much for sharing.

In UK, we usually use a sterilising liquid called Milton to remove stubborn stains from ceramics and porcelain. I think your shallow footed dish is called compote or compotier, and was usually used to serve glasse fruits, fruits cooked in thick wine and sugar syrup ( mulled poached pairs for example) or cream or dainty desserts. 😊 you can order replacement glass dome if you are looking to replace the lid.The only name in mind for the deep, large two handled bowl is terrine, although if it was soup terrine it should have lid, and the upper edge is openning outwards as opposed to clossing in. So, it could be just a large serving bowl, hmmmm. To be honest victorian dinnerware sometimes is like minefield, as they had variety of servingware for very specific dishes such as brain balls, calf ear fritters, frog leg pie, are some of the less horrific offerings 🤢🥴

Bev when I first found you years ago ( long before the stone house), you favored black/ Mackenzie Childs. I loved blue and white then so I had to reconfigure in my mind to copy you. ( I have a shameful amount of MC Royal because of you) I am so thrilled to see your talent with my blue and white. These dishes are heavenly as is that table.

The ‘ sandwich plate’ is a cheese plate in the Netherlands. I love the blue and white cutlery ❤it looks a bit Delfts Blauw.

Are you using the right term when you speak about your dishes being ironstone I always thought that ironstone was much heavier, rather like stoneware.

The display of meat, cheeses fruits & vegetables is called "charcuterie board" which is hard to pronounce for english speaking people probably because it's a french word and the significance of charcuterie in french is all the cured and cold cut of meat.
