Just finished the farm and the mechanics are glorious. Tutorial worked perfect and I used several stacks of charcoal to start the smokers. The 1 modification was the collection system. I went 12 out (as Prowl did) then left 3 block gap and U-turned to lay out the other 12. This creates a nice little "hallway room" to AFK and check the smokers. I have lots of chests but they all eventually feed to a central chest under the allay platform where I have a crafting table. The underside of the platform is a mini base with basic stuff and chest and bed. I also made the central chest accessible from below the farm if i'm passing by to just grab kelp. Easily had 2 stacks of dried kelp blocks within 20 min while cleaning up the area and only half the smokers going. This is going to be a BEAST of a farm. OP FTW! Edit: added 1 glass block under each observer on return station. Kelp get stuck under and allays keep trying to reach it.
I've shared a couple of your videos that will keep me busy for a few days, definitely looking forward to trying out some of these. I like your ideas on how you build things, keep up the good work and can't wait for more tutorials in the future 😀
This is fantastic!! I’ve been looking for a way to run a flying machine off an Etho hopper clock (play on mobile so I gotta watch for lag lol) and the trapdoor setup is such a good way to do it!
Great video! Works very good and the flying machines used are perfect for this. Could you do a glow squid farm? maybe with allays? Its one farm that I cant really find. Thank you
Another great farm Prowl! What is the suggested method of "shutting it off" though? Do you just leave the chunk and let the flying machine stop? Then when you want to restart, just hit the trap doors to get it moving again? If someone were to build it half as large (or 1/4 as large) do you have a suggestion on number of smokers for those rates? Is it as simple as 1/2 or 1/4 as many?
@@raymondstheawesome Been using it on my realm since the 1.19 update, no issues yet. I expected it to get patched, but hasn't yet. Is that the concern? Just that it won't be available soon?
@@boxingkanga8352 they're very easy to turn on and off, and if you are just AFK, then lag doesn't really matter. I have had little to no trouble with it. I have had to turn it off when running more intricate redstone nearby, and I never leave it running when I'm not nearby, but otherwise I have had zero issues
@@raymondstheawesome I totally get that, I just generally don't like to AFK anything, and the time and effort for something like this is not worth while to me when I could make a small 0-tick farm to handle my needs, especially when it becomes obsolete by end game. Might as well just make a large manual farm unless you enjoy the contraption enough
I believe the launching clock (redstone path plus sand-piston thingy) must be placed above sea level or in some air pocket since there's no underwater redstone, and a line of repeaters would add an extensive delay. Edit: how about skulk sensors? 🤔 They do work underwater, don't they?
This is amazing! What makes the piston not fall off (compared to the sugar cane tutorial (that I put under the ocean))? Is it the trap door or no solid block at the edge?
Hmm, just wondering if you could stack your sugarcane farm on top of this one? You might need to add a load of carpet or wool between them to stop your Allays getting confused, but if you raid a woodland mansion to get the Allays to begin with you can steel the carpets... problem solved! Maybe use this template to put a bamboo farm on top of the sugar cane. Wow!! How to lag out the fastest gaming PC in one easy lesson!!! 🤣 Thanks for the farm, Prowl 👍👍👍👍👍
The flying machine doesn't brake 100% if u are not careful with the chunk borders. I made some testing and it only breaks if the last observer from either side of the flying machine is not in the same chunks Edit: the flying machine doesn't need that extra up 1 slime block that extends inwards, u can just put 2 sticky pistons next to each other so it will be more compact
I guess we can use honey blocks instead of slime blocks for the flying machine and then just activate the machine, holding the right button of the mouse to automatically fill the kelps?
It was easier for me to show it off in the air, you can build it literally anywhere except above ground in frozen biomes. If I were building it in survival, I'd either setup a little box in the ocean... or carve out a space in the ground somewhere.
Beautiful farm . I just designed it on creative world before doing it on my survival world . One issue is the piston with sand thingy doesn't work for me
I don't get the right side flying machine, he puts temp blocks on the right chunk, but builds into the chunk to his left... I thought they had to stay in there chunks? Edit: I figured it out, If you need a clear view of how the right side needs to be set up, you can get a good close up view at 12:42 into the video. also if your having troubles with placing the sticky pistons right, I got one block back and floated down to where my eye level with almost at the block and it placed them right.
As a console bedrock player I will never understand why people play bedrock on PC. Ok trident killers are pretty amazing. Just give me my left hand and the nether roof! Lol
my PC sucks so much i cant have any automated machines on java, yes i could use something like optifine but meh.... i would also prefer trident killers.
You cold build this in the ocean yes if big enough 4 block down in water make your floor and walls all your water is already there that way no placing water lol
time to go dig a hole because im too lazy to place a lot of blocks.
Better yet, just adapt this design to go over an area in the ocean where the kelp is already growing
@@IsUnavailable-cd5eo agreed
Go underground and you won't lose allays
I'm doing double the work right now... Clearing dark oak forest and building above ground.

Dude, that's epic! I dunno why it didn't notify me when it popped up, but I'm so happy to finally got to see it! Thanks for this build!
I remember when this was live was wondering when the video was coming out!! Way to go prowl!!! You explain things so easily
You can also replace the furnace for composters to get bonemeal
Do some of each
You can do both 😉
Loved the use of the Allays!
You forgot the items list in the description. Just post it in the comments, no worries! Love your style!!
I added it :p
I know I'm never going to build this but I enjoyed watching what was possible lol.

Built this on my world, great video and amazing farm!
Actually cracked video. I'm making this in my realm right now
Great video and tutorial just a note for ppl playing on ps4 if game blue screens while using this farm Ur flying machines break or disappear
I always like using a daylight sensor rather than a hopper clock. Only issue is you need sunlight access but nothing a hole or glass tower doesn't fix

Is it worth doing this over the 0-tick farms? I feel like those are smaller, easier, less materials, and still much better performance
@@raymondstheawesome Been using it on my realm since the 1.19 update, no issues yet. I expected it to get patched, but hasn't yet. Is that the concern? Just that it won't be available soon?
My concern with the zero tick farm is the lag it caused.

Can you build this farm above the sugarcane farm with the allays (the new one ) ?
"thingy" does indeed work much better
me when i build this: why did i need this much kelp again
I guess we can use honey blocks instead of slime blocks for the flying machine and then just activate the machine, holding the right button of the mouse to automatically fill the kelps?
My kelps don't float up to the surface any idea what to do?

Why does the flying machine work? Specifically how is the sticky piston dropping the slime block and not pulling it back when it retracts?
Ah, makes sense. So the slight observer delay is just enough
Super love it

Kelp supremacy
now to make this fit ontop of my iron farm ....

will this work on Java?
