- The Pistahan parade returned to San Francisco on Saturday, beginning at Civic Center and proceeding down Market Street. It's the start of a weekend-long celebration for the Filipino community. Shawn Chitnis reports. (8-13-22)

The country give them honorable mentions on their national heroes (August) and independence day (June). Two of Philippines federal holidays.

It's bad enough they were named after a Spanish King. USA got chased out of Vietnam after cancelling their first Democratic election. Would USA media and textbooks ever like to mention this?
