The clerk there told us that for older models, they released an update where, because the battery is aging and is more liable to deplete faster, the phone intentionally slows down its performance at a certain threshold so that it won't run through the battery as fast. They didn't call it as it is, but basically, so as long as your phone gets older, it's guaranteed to get slower, though it all still depends on how the battery is, and the usage, of course. So yeah, Apple is full of shit, because that iPhone was barely two years old and didn't need that update AT ALL.

So I asked for the iPhone as my iPod touch had a set up I preferred to Android 4.0.3 with HTC SENSE 4.0. Now I have apps that I like which are only on the apple ecosystem so just sticking to it.

If you want your phone to work with other products, it unfortunately does matter. Apple makes it miserable to try and use their phones with non Apple other things. Want to transfer files between an Android and PC? Plug it in, fire up file explorer, and just click and drag. iPhone? Good luck figuring out which workaround is the right one for the specific thing you're trying to do. If you're lucky it will just take a bit of screwing around with iTunes. Also, apparently, iPhone's default video player app is now Apple TV. So not only are you paying more for a worse product, they shove advertising in your face like no Android ever has - and I use Samsung.
The only time i ever used an apple device was when i won one in a browser game. I tried to use it for some time, then sold it and bought an actually useful device.

I tried to use it for some time, then sold it and bought an actually useful device.
I always use 2 phones, for work and private. Before both were androids. One of them broke down after 7 years and I finally tried iPhone, now that they uses the same cables..

I'm with Kronii. Using an iPhone for work things when you're a vtuber and your stuff probably just works better on iPhones is one thing. Actually using iPhones by choice is another.

Ngl, Iphones changing to USB-C is the single best QoL change they got, which is not me downplaying all the newer features, it's me highlighting how much pain that saves.

I both have android and iphone, iphone 12 to be exact i used them on my needs. Imo iphone have better security so im using it for my socmeds etc. while i only use my android for games and for watching stream on the go since android has larger batt capacity and faster charging. They are both good in their own ways
