    Thanks for such a great review of using this setup with your gaming! I'm heading in this same direction. I have the Archel Pro 3 arriving today! Can't wait to listen to music through this! I console game (PS5) and am considering the J2 DAC, however consoles only support the UAC1 USB standard. I think I may need something in font of the J2 that supports UAC1 to optical.

    I have a Archel 2.5 XL and Jnog 2, absolutely love them. They sit on my gaming rig and a Fosi BT20A power amp for speakers. Sound is just wonderful. I use a Topping DX3 Pro + with a couple of monitor speakers for music production on a different PC, a very different experience that I started out with on the gaming rig but moved it when I got the Geshelli.

    My problem with Separate DAC/Amps is that the Zen DAC is just so good for iem’s and is such a small footprint that I really don’t see myself ever switching back to a double or triple stack setup. This is something I never thought I would have said a few years ago but here we are lol

      @@Moonuhhh I haven't tried the S.M.S.L units however I hear they're pretty good options (maybe the better option according to reviewers like Joshua Valour). My Modi and Magni are more than enough for my various IEM's and Sundara's. The soundstage is wide and precise, lot's of good clarity in the treble. The timbre is pretty solid but I've read the sound signature is probably not quite reference grade. That being said, it's enough to convince me that the music playing is more or less as the artist intended although with a bit of colouration (in a good way).

    Hey Fresh Reviews, can you review the Kinera Celest Wyvern Pro IEM?
    The 'Pro' version comes with cable that have a detachable boom mic. I think it's a pretty good set for the price in the more budget range. Apparently the tuning is Harman 2019 similar to the Truthear x Crinacle Zero OG Blue so I was wondering how it's imaging will compare and/or if tuning plays a big part in wallhack level imaging in-game or not

    • @xioneksdot4660
      @xioneksdot4660 10 месяцев назад +1

      If you'd like to compare the mic quality of the boom mic Kinera have released the Kinera Gramr, Kinera Celest Ruyi, Antlion with their Kimura cable, CVJ have just released their CVJ Hato boom mic cable and TRN have released their TRN Mars gaming IEM(to compete with the CVJ Konoka with the same vibration driver tech). I'm hesitant to recommend TRN because of their QC/QA bad track record all these while and wonky tuning

    Is the difference between the orchestra lites and the canon 2 big enough to justify the extra 150 for the Canon 2. For a game like siege

      No. Both are going to perform very well. If you’re in an extreme budget. Save the money for sure. Anything in my top 5 rocks. Do I feel they’re slightly better yea, but again if tight budget the lite is fire

    Hello fresh, so I have an issue hearing footsteps on apex legends while using an IEM. Is it because my IEM is plug directly to my pc? do i have to buy a Dac/amp? If so what would you recommend and what are you currently using?

    • @FreshReviewsYT
      @FreshReviewsYT  10 месяцев назад +1

      It depends on your IEM and what the issue may be. It’s hard for me to say, but I do notice gains over my personal on board audio chip. Even the topping dx3 pro + is a solid upgrade over my on board

    Love the content but a few constructive criticism:
    This set up might be decent value in a relative sense, but it would only really apply to audiophiles. For the average gamer just discovering that their Turtle Beach/SteelSeries/HyperX headset isn't the latest and greatest and is getting into the possibilities of good audio, or even a seasoned veteran with a budget, spending ~$750 on a DAC/amp combo for marginally better in-game audio would seem absolutely insane.
    I think budget recommendations that are far below even the DX3 Pro+ are important. I personally use the DX3 Pro+ and have asked you for a review in the comments in the past, so it's nice it's now included! Still, even I would admit that's a steep price to pay if you're an average gamer just getting into higher end audio (relatively speaking) or have a tight budget. For example, you can get a solid setup for

      Yeah these types of videos are for trained ears or someone who’s been into audio for years. My first audio headset was the PlayStation ones way back on ps3, then I switched to the astros a40s which were considered the best back in the day.
      But 900 pro x or 560s and a schiit stack or schiit hel 2 is best for entry level.
